Hi all,
Looks like I'm today's whipping boy.
Let me start by apologizing to everyone. I don't punt intentionally!!!! If I think I'm even related to someone going off, who for instance, may have been along side in a turn, I stop and let them by. And, no, I don't like being beaten, but I don't slam *anyone* just because I do lose (often). I think the issue with putty is that I happened to grid behind him in every race, he's slower than most of the field behind, so I wound up close on him, every race, biding my time for an opening, and in the mean time the field ran up on me, slammed me, and sent me into putty. Let me make it clear, if I (unintentionally) punt someone, I stop. It's that simple. It also shows what's bad about a reverse grid. I have a lot of respect for putty's driving, so, *sorry*, man.
As to cudadude, I feared he'd take my ramming him as an assault, but it wasn't. The previous lap it felt like I was hit from behind as I turned into the Casio triangle, not hard, but it appeared that cudadude had left his braking a little too late. I understand, it happens. It didn't seem to me that he was inside, and that the hit was from there. But, that's beside the point. I know he races clean, so getting banged around now and again is fine. On the next (last) lap, I saw him take a penalty ahead at the exit of the triangle, but it also appeared that he backed off after the penalty. I thought perhaps he was making a late acknowledgement of sending me off the previous lap, which I didn't think he needed to do, so I lined up behind him, to finish after him, but he'd slowed a bunch, so it was a hard hit. The end result was as I'd wanted, he finished ahead of me. Seriously. I wanted to PS message you to that effect, but you left the circuit and I didn't have the exact spelling of your ID.
As to redline's complaint, I can't really say I remember any incidents, but when I'm driving a low powered car, like the Mitsus, and the only advantage they have is getting off a corner fast, I change to a *defensive* driving line. That doesn't mean banging, weaving and bumping. It means protecting the inside line and closing the door (not slamming it). All I can think is that change in driving style is a little of a surprise to those who *know* I leave room in a corner if I think someone is attempting anything close to a legitimate, workable, possible, non-bansai pass. So, I'll take special care in the future. Sorry.
Anyway, I'll back off a bunch. I'm not playing to make enemies, and I believe stongly in fair racing. I can't wait for car damage to be implemented.
well, your family now. no hard feelings here.
