wow...I just had a race where the top four cars finished within one second of each other at daytona road. Sadly I was the fourth out of that bunch. Good times

Hey

Good race there at Daytona..but man its hackville out there..Its so hard to run a clean race when everyone is just pushing you around.

So how has racing online been? I hear those who say the hacks have moved on and I hear those who say they are still very much large and in charge.

I wouldn't know as I've taken the last few days of online racing off because it simply pushed me over the edge. I keep getting urges to return but the horror memories keep me away.

Oh...I have been very lucky not to have been taken out. There are been lot of tries..but I still win.. lol

Just watch my Daytona Videos on You tube.. My new ones.

---

It has not changed at all really..Its not as bad as it was in the beginning. I suspect that GTA5 made alot of the idiots move on.

I think it is a good that you took some time away from it all. Thats what I had to do..Just take a day off. Once you don't play it for a day then you are recharged and ready to go. I see you in the chat right now, so lets go and race!

@UnoMOTO

I really gave that white car a hard time the second race. lol I returned the favor.. alot. lol Good races and I hope to see you out there again.

Ya know, I think it's a lot like email. It's a tough way to comunicate. I had some good racing with bernalstock in EVOs this evening at the 750PP Suzuka, but I know tarmac wasn't too happy with him. My feeling is that when you're in an EVO, you know you can't win in a straight up WFO fight, so you feel defensive (never mind tarmac had turned down his FGT). bernalstock would weave on the straights to try and break the draft. It's probably just his (mis)understanding of what's reasonable. Tarmac may have a different view. :^} I'm hope'n we'll get car damage someday, and a very limited budget for repair. I think there'll be some lessons learned. But, it would also be great to host our own (invitation only) events. Hopefully, the folks at PD are already on to that. I think there're plenty of hackers still out there, but it's the world(?) we live in.

BTW, thanks for the invite to this site, the good feelings, standing up for me and all the obvious work you do to make things fun.

I can just hear him saying "oh no you didn't":dopey:

I picked up a DFGT yesterday and I am already competitive, so You'll be seeing a lot more of me.

Damage will definitly calm them down. It is my experience with online racing that turning off damage turns off drivers' brains. It doesn't fix the problem of ramming 100%, but it makes them drive more carefully. It's not fun driving a car that's lost 10mph straightline speed after you damaged it rear ending someone.

From what I hear PD is working on private rooms but the patch won't be available until the fall. My thoughts are that it will be a great patch that will transform GT5P online, or at least it better be for making us wait so long.

I still remember our duel in the Ford GT Test Car and how both of us stopped for each other after we spun eachother out.

I try and increase the enjoyment of GT5P online by creating this and other threads, but with private rooms the possiblities are limitless. Fall is too far away, we aren't even in the summer.

azbay is a classy driver. Very quick in the Tuned Vette and he'll blink his tail lights to let you know he's gonna brake LOL.

yeah i like azbay, i added him a week ago very clean driver. me and him usually stick with eachother all the way around the track. Got into some really good races tonight with you LOVE, slicecom and Heli Eric as well. i just had to quit b/c of constant disconnects, calling it a night.

I don't hold any grudge against that guy whatsoever, he's a very fast racer, I just think that he doesn't know proper track etiquette. You know, one defensive move on the straights, no brake checks, yada yada. He'll figure it out sooner or later.

I've been tuning down the GT to try and get better starting position (as you mentioned before), and I'm FINALLY getting my suspension hooked up settings wise! Already gained nearly 10 mph threw the esses!!

Now I just need to find out which one of my friends has my DFP!

PS- It was great seeing you all tearing it up tonight! I'll try and catch you again Friday early evening (eastern standard).

In regards to racing... Suzuka 600PP kinda sucks right now... BUT I get to race LOVEISDEAD! :D My fellow Ontarioian!
Part of that was my fault. I think part of it was all you STi/EVO drivers were taking a similar line in spots and it seemed at odds with the line I take in the Audi R8. I know just before the chicanes 3 of you were skidding/drifting from the right to the left and, because I can brake late there, dove in in the middle of the lane just as you three were crossing from the right to the left. There was another time when Loveisdead's car was ghosting and, as it passed through me, was all I could see. I know I took a couple of people out then, too.

Sorry for messing up a few of those races. I think if I was in my Evo I would've fit in better.

chris0 you were fine. I was trying to keep as much grip as possible. The OTHER STIs and EVOs were sliding around A LOT and I tried to keep my distance from them. Your Audi needed some more room to brake and that was the only time I felt like I had to slow down around you. I'm pretty sure I kept pretty clean. I got taken out by some wide-exit EVOs and other drivers a few times though. :(

rmk700... nice racing you and the other GTP'ers in the Suzuka 600pp. BMW still needs work. Little tail happy yet. I am sure you got some good views of my "drifting". I enjoyed this level. Think I will be messing with some cars for this class. Lots of fun.

Slice... fun racing as always. Thanks for pulling up after giving me that tap. I was like, "No way is he going to try and dive down..... C&@p, he is....". LOL. Saw others as well. Good times.

I think everyone has gotten faster. Or I have gotten slower. LOL. Hope its the first!

After a five day layoff, I had fun racing Panjandrum last night. I was competitive with him on HSR, but not so much on Suzuka. Of course my '03 Z4 had a lot more power than his '91 Alfa?? Racing him really has helped my lines. Now I just have to stop screwing up my final laps looking in my mirror... :)

Thanks!

That makes me feel a bit better. Thanks.

Gentlemen, It was fun racing with the majority of you guys last night at the 600PP Suzuka. I'm quite the noob so apologies all around to the guys i've accidentally rammed or punted. i'll do my best to stay out of the way next time - As always, GTP'ers lead the pack:tup:👍👍

 Those were some great races. Unfortunetly I screwed up the setup on my GT Test and it was basically uncontrollable, hence my somewhat erratic driving. It's fast when I'm out front and 100% focused, but when I'm if traffic (which is usually my strength) it's a handful! Hopefully I can find a setup that's a happy medium between fast and controllable tonight. :)
