Well, I enjoyed my 3rd night of HSR (or was it 4th?), I'm getting a bit faster.

But...
I'm making to many dumb mistakes
It's slow matching players
Connections are dropping

And that does not go well with my tired head. Need some sleep... Now..

few problems with lag but otherwise good and clean (one incident with GTP_Unknown was weird but other than that no problems) night of racing indeed.. 👍 see you all again soon.. :sly:

A 'bit' faster?! :P I consider i had a good race when i can see you on the screen when i finish. Although when i try to push a lil too hard on the vette i either lose precious seconds going sideways or losing control. Good races with GTP_MJH especially going through the sweepers side by side without a worry.

Thanks 👍 I feel the same way about Slicecom, geez and Hun and even others. Yesterday there was this freaky start when I went from the usual 9th/10th start to 1st @330kph and Slicecom a bit boosted too, was 2sec behind me. He caught up, overtook and pulled away... I tried to go with him but ended up making one of those dumb mistakes.

A couple more nights and I'll be winning races. :dopey: (I mean real ones, with fast people, not against punters)

Aye' was fun for me also the other night and speaking of strange starts : i was way behind the F430's in my GT-R at a HSR start and suddenly got boosted like a shot from a cannon at an uncontrollable speed spinning all over the place and bouncing from wall to wall :scared: (i think the 2'nd was GTP_Hun - not shure about it, but whoever was can shurely confirm it :dopey:) , even though i got the 5 sec. penalty i still had to brake and wait about 5 sec for the other cars.
Another strange one found me starting from position 12 in the GT-R :dopey: while i was kinda hoping to start in 1'st

That's the spirit. We all have our off moments (I had many last night), but I surely noticed you have improved over the last few nights :)

The only thing I can recall is that I couldn't get a way to pass you :dopey: . Great driving (and great control in late-braking) with your black GTR 👍

:lol: Yeah that start was bizarre!

The key to being fast on HSR is consistancy (which I was lacking last night) and keeping your inertia up. In some turns, a wide line NASCAR style line at a higher speed is faster than hitting the apex.

Yes. For instance, this is how I (try to) do the last corner:
-drift entering from the top, braking at the end of the bricked outer line,
-feather the throttle and never worry about touching the apex but more to never let it drop below 160k (100mph),
-find the right acceleration point and exit full throttle at 185/190 (do the math, it's x1.6 to mph)

usually I fail the acceleration point thus exiting too slow or hitting the wall :grumpy:
 
Long time no see Burnout. I take you race using your GTP_ name now as you never show up on my friends list anymore.

I tend to race HSR at the usual 00,10,20 etc. times in the evening.

Indeed! I still remember our first steps online ruling this track on our well setup integras 👍 I miss racing some people, like you ADIDAZ, MR_P and JASE72.

About the tag, It depends. I stopped using GTP_ when there is too much confusion and mayhem, like Fuji... ;) But when I know half the grid will be GTP, then I guess I just like to blend in :lol:.

I think l tried to add you as a friend with this account as well. I'll try again later. Very hard to see me on early in the evening... never before 23h. But today I'll try to come in a bit earlier.
 
had my time in the z06, will be moving to the f430 now, have some proper races with the gtp's and gtrp's. instead of trying to get past the dirtys in the middle.

I tend to do a quick race in Arcade mode on S2 tyres to tune myself into racing before entering the online event. Strangely though my lap times online are never quite as good.

Last night I saw the biggest concentration of GTP in a looooong time. Too bad I couldn't stay (sick kid, priorities...).
 
good racing happening at HSR PRo, big turnout for the clean racers. i'll be sticking around if the top gear on in 10mins is a repeat, if its a new episode i will probably be back later on. i'm sure JC said TG is finished for this season.

Extraordinary good race!!! I think we can call it: "High Speed Ring Shuffle" :sly: Changes of racing line were so smooth 👍 it's such a shame there are no replays :ouch: :grumpy: :dunce:

great racing! yeh it is a shame no replays. that was something special though, i used to race the Z06 although it was fun taming the beast/ getting decent podiums with it, you dont get the same kind of fun you get in the f430.
