Might there be a embargo lifted soon? magazines are popping up with their previews now..
Amar has been noticeably quiet lately...
Once again, another month is going to CRAWL. Gah, the torture...
Thanks for posting this up, Frank! That's a Toyota MR2 Spyder, though, not a Boxster.
27 June will be a saturday ,I'll probably get it on Monday the 29th !
It actually is known as the MR2 Spyder here in the United States. Doesn't look like the name ever made it across the pond, though.Just to point out - I'm pretty sure the MR2 never had a "spyder" tag on it... all mk3 MR2's were soft tops (the odd one had a removable hard top)...
C.
Note that here in France, the MR2 is still named MR without the "2". Indeed, MR2 sounds like "merdeux" which means "********"
Haha yeah, like the Mitsubishi Pajero is called Montero in Spanish speaking countries because Pajero means.... ahh look it up for yourself.
Wow, for now we know that next month two different magazines are going to talk about GT5. That are great news, I think it means that the release date it's near than expected.
Very funny the MR2 joke and the Mitsubishi Pajero. In Japan there is a Nissan called Moco and in spanish moco means snot.
Just goes to show how out of touch with reality some poeple have become after commenting on 2D trees and low texture and gamma radiation in games all day...I think it looks fake because its a real life picture and not a game.
Kaz himself did say that everything was going to be a surprise...
As talked about in other threads, a lot of people have been debating on whether a release of GT5 BEFORE GTpsp would be a good idea. Judging by two magazines supposedly having previews for GT5...yes it's good they're building hype, but some members have mentioned that a release of GT5 before October would take away a lot of momentum or sales for the GTpsp and PSP Go!. Most release date signs have pointed to December because many people were saying a full unveiling of GT5 at TGS would be the perfect time for the game because it's after or right around the time of the GTpsp release, and it would build hype for the holidays. I don't really have an opinion on this because I believe it could go both ways since GTpsp is obviously on a different platform, though it's supposed to be somewhat compatible with GT5; so a release of GT5 on or around the time of the GT PSP could be a good thing.
On the other hand, a release before October would probably destroy Forza's momentum and make them eat their words (I have nothing against the franchise itself, just the developers), even though it's on a different platform, and depending on the features, other people have also said that releasing it before Forza would be a good idea.
So based on these 2 advertisements, and what seems like imminent GT5 previews, what's everyone's opinion at this time on when GT5 SHOULD be released?
Me personally, since I don't have an X360, nor do I have a PSP and don't plan on getting one, I could take GT5 as early as possible. But that's just me.
For me, the sooner the better. Unless of course Kaz is making it better somehow! If past sales are anything to go by, I think it would be effective for PD to release GT5 in December or 2010. GT4 dwarfed Forza in terms of copies sold anyway. February or March next year would be ideal. By that time, the GT Mobile hype will have settled down. It's all a matter of impatience for some fans though.
I don't want it before december. That's right. I have patience. I waited more than 2 years I dont see why I couldnt wait another 5 to 7 months. I just want it to be astonishing, I wanna show Yamauchi and his team all the respect they deserve....and I want to see Greenwalt on his knees (he deserves it after his arrogant speech at the E3)
IF
Then release it at the end of September or beginning of October.
