I strongly disagree and feel Feb, March would be the worst time to release GT5.

As I said in the thread that was locked! Sony are relying on GT5 being a console seller. This is why I say no chance to Feb, March because many are usually short of cash after xmas anyway let alone during this global recession. This is why I believe the 27th November release date because this just so happens to coincide with the peak xmas shopping period. However short of money the general public are during these difficult times many still spend around the xmas period.

What im expecting is a PS3 price drop to coincide with the release of GT5 and this to occur on Friday 27th November.
 
You must be right about the release and a pricedrop being at the same time.

How stupid is Sony if the wont take advantage of gt5 release.

While the end of November would be an ideal time to put GT5 on the market, I think October or September would work as well, and even better. This is why.

Having Gran Turismo 5 out as early as possible would mean an immediate load of cash for SONY/PD from those of us with a steady supply of disposable income who will buy it as soon as possible. PS3s and wheel controllers will get an early boost in sales as well. It will practically advertise itself, but along with a holiday ad campaign and a price drop for PS3, the game will have a further boost in sales, along with PS3s for Christmas. Those of us who bought it for ourselves can devote at least one more buy to a key PS3 game, such as Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, inFamous, MAG, an RPG or whatever.

Plus, it would deliver a pillow to the face of Microsoft who has a similar game coming out about the same time. :D

Releasing a game before the middle of November isn't a bad thing. Ratchet & Clank Future ToD was released in October 2007, and sold over a million units within five months. I think GT5 might be able to top that. ;)

I totally agree with what you are saying however, I wonder how did you put an exact date such as Nov 27th? Why not 26th or 28th?

I'm gonna get it the 27/06 and try to make some scans of it,
at my work, will try to put this info on the same date on this

Everyone is probably going to be hungry for that first page scan, to see if there's a car from GT5 with damage. Especially if it's like the MR2, a street car. The one in the preview scan is pretty heavily damaged, and it really seems that these European mags know something juicy that hasn't been revealed yet.

yes that's right.. we need our french and belgium people ready at the stores when the mag hits the store.
We need full documentation, videos, pics, translators and live rapports once the day has come.

we have the same in the UK, but without the point. I'll be damned if I can remember enough french to translate despite 4 years of learning and an A grade at the end!

looking forward to seeing what revealed none-the-less.
 
To some of you prediction experts, Sony is aiming to sell around 13 mil consoles during their financial year so if they want to meet that goal than November price cut will be too late. They will need that cut around August as rumored and starting September all the games will start flowing steadily until xmas and they have a chance to meet their goal. What I'm saying is simultaneous cut and GT5 release won't happen. End of November release seems like a reality in this case, I really hope it's October though so all T10 devs could line up and eat each others hats.

Don't hate me, I'm just trying to look at it all realistically.

A fiscal year is not necessary a calendar year, so november doesn't sound that late.

March to March, I'm sorry but with price cut as late as November I don't see Sony meet their target. But it's getting off of the point of this thread, my opinion based on that observation is that simultaneous price cut and GT5 release won't happen.

Do we. French isn't obligatory in School here. We get to pick the language/s we want to learn.
