OPM France next month cover

We need to be realistic though...were Polyphony really going to give a significant chuck of information to the French?

Giving more information to OPM UK might be a possibility, given Europe is GT's best market and English is more widespread, but I still reckon they'll probably release the most information first to the Japanese at TGS, given it's a Japanese game n all.

France is a part of Europe :dunce:

It's incredible, 5/6 € for.....sony's E3 press conference summary:crazy:

And more... they are talking to the conditional, very nice for an official magazine 👎

Where is the interest of this "official" magazine...:grumpy:

I stopped buying magazines the day my Broadband internet connection started. I've now been reminded why.

"France is a part of Europe"

Well yeah lol, but French is not the main language of Europe.

More people in Europe understand English than French, so why put all the details in a French magazine, when every country would have to spend time translating it?

Plus we could get incorrect translations, where someone could have translated, for example, that damage was available on all cars, when that actually could have not been what was written.

Put it in English and a large chunk of Europe (and the rest of the world) understands without having to do epic translations.

The same here, Tired Tyres, i don't know why too, but i stopped buying games mags.
But i like then, touch a paper is always better.

God damnit, i dont complain or write alot on this site, but it's luck i have an xbox aswell. Then i can play the best of the 2 consoles, the thing is that sony doesnt marketing this game very well. I mean, its only familiar with enthusiast for now. I dont know if the casual ps3 player does even know if gt5 exists. We dont either, because we have so little info. I think this mysterious little man yamaguchi needs to wake up a bit, and hype the game exactly like turn10 does. I bet they know that ps3 is the better console, and they know gr5 P looks way better, and even have gt5 as their goal, but they have an advantage. They know how to get things to the market. I have even stopped playing gt5prolouge since its not fun anymore. Its looks extreme good, but it has not the fun factor Forza 2 has. If I was yamauchi(spelling again :D), I would throw in some exciting stuff in the prologue time to time. The 3 cars was one of the fun things, but think about some options to really tune our cars. Like adding a monster turbo or new cams and exhausts. This with the magazine was ridicoulus(spelling), as far as i am concerned. We've already seen those pictures 1000 times upscaled and so on. I hope gran turismo makes it to the fall, either way im playing forza 3 for a while. However if its released to far from forza i dont know if im gonna like gran turimso as much as i have did. Long post i know, but did need to write me off :D

I disagree with Forza's marketing tactics, and I think it would be a mistake for PD and Sony to use the same tactic as Forza. Let me explain:

I do like the Forza series. However, since E3 where Turn10 continues to say that Forza is THE racing game of the generation, with the most cars, tracks, blah blah...well it may be true for the time being since in essence they're comparing all of that to GT5 prologue since no one really knows anything concrete about GT5 except what we learned from the E3 trailer.

Now if you mean marketing the game as far as just giving us some info, screenshots, and what not, maybe like once a week, giving us bits and pieces until release, I think that would be awesome...

But if PD starts attacking Forza by 1-upping Forza's claims because GT5 will surely have more cars than Forza, and maybe more tracks, not sure, then it just starts an immature he said this he said that battle IMO. I think if PD does beat Forza in this "battle" I would like to see them doing it quietly, without attacking Forza at all, and just let the game do the talking.

I don't necessarily like PD's marketing strategy so far either (little to no info), but I think if they released tiny bits and pieces every week or maybe even just once a month, it would still keep fans hungry without giving too much away at once.

Or they could do what no one would see coming......just flat out "GT5 has gone gold" and release it next week.....that would shock the world haha.

Well, that's not true at all.

More people in Europe speak or understand German as an official language than any other - followed by French and Italian. English is 4th most common, just ahead of Spanish.

English might well be the "universal" language - though Spanish and Chinese dialects probably have a different opinion - but in Europe we're absolutely nowhere. If you want to maximise your product's geographical and numerical appeal, you'll put it in German.

That's true in Europe, which is partly why I want to learn German before I go to Europe ;) but if you add the rest of the western world to that list, it'd be interesting to see the result (the yanks and us aussies would add a few to the english camp).
