Are you aware that you guys can discuss setups publicly? Who will steal your setups if you post them here? I doubt that a guy in a Merc will steal a setup of a guy in a Nissan...

No offense to anyone huh, I just try to understand why people keep their setups private.
On cars I've spent a lot of time tuning, I keep in private, (team-mate only really). On general, I'll try this, it feels ok, it'll do tunes, I hand out no problem as I don't care if they are useless.

I have no problem to turn public any of my setups... But first I need to have one to show  I just consent the idea of SK8RBOI.
Now seriously, If I find a setup that I think it's good for a certain car for a specific circuit I can make it public I have absolutely no problem with that ;)

Glad to see someone thinking like me :)

But Tim's and Filo's arguments are fair enough, I understand 👍

We are pleased to announce that Steve and Pedro are now part of the ORA Staff.
We observed them for a long time now and talked with them.
There is absolutely no doubt that they are a great addition into the group.
We wait from them to stay as they are, natural, calm and loyal.

Welcome behind the scenes!

I am stoked to be given this opportunity! Thank you @Litchi and team.
To everybody im very approachable so please feel free to speak freely to me in private if you have any issues or questions, I hope to do the best I can to represent ORA as a steward :)

Today I had my first go with the Nissan GT-R GT3 and I did 250km+ on Daytona. The car was on default settings, I didn't want to spend too much time in tuning the car for the track.
My best was a 1:46.618 on Racing Hard tyres. I don't know how good it is but at least I spent some time on the same track as all of you. Tomorrow I will practice for Motegi ;)
Impressive for a first hit out on default man!
I'll be honest and say I started with @Litchi's tune which was realllly nice, and just adjusted it to more my driving style :).
I can start a team message bord for the GTR if you want. We can share setups between PRO and AM!
I'm keen! Looks like you got a good handle on your setup watching your times on the live stream dude :).

i was sad that i couldnt drive a pre season in Daytona...i was ill like hell, but i was reading a post-race conversation and it was hmmm..interesting.
i am happy that everything is calm down, now.
lets say it this way...everyone here is a big racing lover so thats why there was a bit energic conversation! :)
as i am (sadly :( ) reserve driver in my team, i wouldn give up..i want to be part of it ,so @SK8RBOI with @Pubs16 and @Ramalhinho91 , I want to be a part of setup conversation, too.

* Guys, I received other 2 datas but I couldn't identify from who I received, It's from seblartek, Kristian Destret (you guys need to make a folder too).

For everyone please follow the tutorial in the OP and remember to use the standard folder name:

Folder: GTWC_S3_CATEGORY(PRO OR AM)_GTPLANET LOGIN

File: TRACK_SESSION(RACE OR SPRINT)_CAR

Thank you!

I can't access the link because Google Docs are blocked on this PC, have you got a PDF version you can post up?
Hey PJ here's a copy and paste of the how-to part :)

"We'll use Google Drive. Each driver will create a folder with a standard name and share it with me, please follow the tutorial below:
1 - If you already know how to share a folder on Google Drive:

A-) Create a folder based on this name: GWTC_S3_CATEGORY_GTPLANETLOGIN

B-) Now you just need to upload the files based on this: TRACK_SESSION_CAR

C-) Share the folder with: virtualracecardata@gmail.com

2 - If you don't know how to share a folder on Google Drive:

A-) Please check this link:

Yes I read that, but from my experience data is usually used as driver training or if something wierd happens on track. So I'm just wondering how it helps with car balancing?
Why wouldn't it, can still compare each manufacturer in depth. At the end of the day it's a bit of fun and some more realism to add and I believe it's helping Leoni with some course, if you don't like it that's fine.

It's just long winded

I don't have a problem with it. It's a new technology for gt6 so I'm asking questions to learn about it.

je suis FLEURY, mon pseudo psn était seblartek et maintenant c'est TWR-SEB-72
That's fine, bud. But make sure to post your messages in English please. I don't want to see a mod giving you a warning because you did not respect the AUP 👍

I think the only way to balance the cars with data is analysing the performance of the car by section of the track. The average values of the car like g forces can tell you a lot if your suspension is good comparing to the average of all cars.

I received 7 datas until now, but i can open only 4 :ill:. Some guys have exported just one of the 2 files and some of them shared a .txt with me haha

I need your help guys. More data I have, more precise will be our modifications in the cars

Just to keep people in the loop, I have been conducting some small tests with the cars. I don't have time to do a full-on test, so it's only rough values. But here is what I have reported to @CodDemon101:

Ok, been running some tests in the cars at Suzuka East (full downforce) and Monza (min downforce). Here is the data I collected. The times for the tracks are in seconds, so for Monza, 108 = 1'48.

At the specs on the table, I have an average gap of 0.113 from Fastest to Slowest. They all accelerate at a very similar level and reach the same top speed, give or take 2mph. (tested them all at Route X with default setups, downforce set to the mid-point)

Now, I would say these specs are good enough for a race test in pre-season #2. But, as the data is only from myself, it isn't 100% accurate as certain cars don't suit my driving style, and some setups are better than others (I tuned all of them but I'm not spending hours tuning them all properly), also, its only over two tracks, so testing at more will give more accurate results, and testing with more drivers with different skill levels.

But anyway, these are just the results I collected, do with them what you will.
