Anyway sorry for my long post and to finish this up, I also wanna say that I was bit dissapointed with the live broadcast, I was really looking forward to it but they missed too much from the race. Just an example, 5~10minutes to end the race and 2nd to 5th place were pretty close and they had absolutely no idea about it.

That was because, for us, about a third of the screen was cut off, including half the track map. We had no way of knowing. :)

First of all I wanna say that it was a great race with some hot battles and I had great fun until the very end, the top3 was in battle until the last laps and it shows the competition we have this season, but not only the podium, except few cases we could see awesome battling in the mid pack throughout the whole race and the final positions were totally unpredictable. From exception to the Audi drivers that "destroyed" everyone all cars seemed well balanced, maybe very little advantages here and there but overall they seemed pretty good in my eyes. Maybe the major problem were the NSX's that despite the update for this track they seemed to be overpowered in the long straights, we'll have to see how it goes in the 2nd pre-season race and adjust if needed before the official season starts, maybe it was just a Daytona problem for the NSX's.

I've seen some parts of the replay and the Audi car is not "sooooo" unbalanced as some guys were saying, yeah maybe a bit and perhaps we could remove some bhp before the 2nd pre-season race, truth is the car is fast and in the right hands it's able to do damage but in terms of top speed it is close to Z4 and SLS. The GT-R is few Km/h down but has other advantages. I'll still take a better look at other cars but I think the major problem in this race was the NSX's as I mentioned earlier.

After the race there was a huge debate about the Audi specs considering the times they were pulling from everybody else, the gap was huge and checking the times everyone else was pretty close except TNR_Pfeffer702 and TNR_5zigen.

Before I said anything about the car and the specs I had to check their laps and this is my conclusion: Both TNR guys are good and it seems that they know the Audi car like the palm of their hands, they also know how to tame the beast (the R8) which is not easy but they take everything out of it and together with a good setup that's key.

Together with this there was a few things that I noticed that both of them did in the race and I don't consider it right as everybody else was doing the right way, I took some photos when I watched the replay just in case.

These were taken in different laps and I remember seeing that in sector 4 they were gapping almost a second in comparison to all the others when doing this. I'm not saying that they did this the entire race but I saw too many times. I'll take a better look when I have the time for it and if needed. Despite this I wanna congratulate them for the awesome race and they were the fastest ones on track for sure even on other sectors.

@TeamEdge702 @TNR_5zigen done. :lol:

guys can we do a vote? who likes the regs and who dosent. just to get in idea of what people think of the regulations and get a better understanding of what the drivers experienced during the first race in terms of the BoP

I was talking with CodDemon on Skype last night, and he brought up a very good point: Daytona is an unusual track, being a blend of road course and superspeedway. Personally I think that we should wait until Motegi to see if the Audis are still going to be too fast.

I don't really have an opinion yet on the regs. I finished 2nd in AM race but had no battles the entire race! The guy who won (not sure of name as he isn't in the driver lineup?) was about .5 to 1 sec a lap quicker but not sure what car he was in.

Also about the lag, TnT mentioned something about lag in the pace lap, I didn't do anything as i was waiting for race control to take over. Nothing else was said until the race started and we were a few laps in. Again I'm not going to pause and chat until i hear race control to tell me to do so. Also i don't understant why it was called, by the time I got the shout in the race me and 1st place were a decent distance up the road, i then noticed TnT dropping down the positions and the lag was called. I'm not sure if i was supposed to of caused it or not as nobody said what happened.

I have never had a lag issue in all the time ive raced in series over the stretch of all games.

Cutting corners is definitely not allowed.

Stewards will do it.

is this supposed to be funny?

For me yes but you do realise cutting like that - 4 tyres off slows you down due to dirty tyres and how fast the the nature of the corner is. I 100% agree cutting isn't allowed but i can guarantee everyone went beyond the white line at the 1st horseshoe so no need the single out Zigen or Fiffer for 1 mistake.

It was 4 different screenshots on different laps, hardly 1 mistake.

Yes but not probably not nearly as much, this is basically cutting through the corner, and when they are on the dirt that short the tires are fine for the following corners. They also gained up to a second there which explains why they ran 42's sometimes on hards. They had done this multiple times too, but Pedro says he will look again.

Those corner cuts look huge, don't want to spark up a discussion here but it may be worth the stewards investigating this.

Why is the Audi so fast? It's not pure top speed. It's how fast it gets there, it is a MR which means it has a lower front profile than most other cars which means les drag which means quicker acceleration and if you notice it is still climbing at 180 where the other cars are dead. It is also the single most broken car in the game as far as I'm concerned. It over rotates like there's no tomorrow in slow corners and dropped throttle situations. This means if you set it up right you can abuse this brokenness and carry very high corner speeds. Just clarifying the Audi situation, it's not top speed.

you are still cutting the course. Also, understand that GT6 physics aren't 100 percent realistic so when you do get dirt on your tires it literally stays on for the most 3 seconds then the tire goes back to normal. I'm pretty sure others have cut the bus stop as well. However, this looks consistent. That is the difference. Also, don't worry about the others they will be talked to as well.
Yeah p2 lol had nobody near me for ages. I finished on the lead lap, what about you?
gt6 has a glitch where at times it won't the driver's "true" position. Had this happen to me last season. Thought I was in first till the results came in. Found out I was in second.

Everyone went off a couple times, these are actually false laps as you state all different laps.
We could fine this of everyone but the fact you team cut through the grass, and I wouldn't harass a founder of I were you remember what litchi said to you...

I was hesitant to put those images up because I knew this could happen. But when there's such gaps I had to clarify it and check myself. Anyway I'll answer few posts above later on.
