[ORA] FIA GT World Championship [S3] | TRL_Evo and Ramalhinho are your PRO and AM Champions!Finished

Ok think I got everything set and ready to go, hope this first crack at things is at least watchable and somewhat entertaining it will be streaming in a couple of mins here.

Nevermind - turning off ABP allowed me to view it.

Everyone, apologies if we seem a bit like we don't know what we're talking about - the Skype chat's video feed was 4:3 so the edges were cropped out.

I used your Ford tune with some adjustments for top speed and it felt easy enough to drive. Little bit of understeer on RH and when the RMs wore down I was oddly enough getting a hot outside front on the exit of corners as opposed to entry. Other than that it felt good though.

Well, please guys calm down, this is pre-season, all the staff of this series can hold it and improve it.

Please, all of you, AM and PRO, send me the Motec i2 data for our reference, it'll help a lot to get this series better.

I'll make a list here but I won't tag anyone like the Attending List, If I receive the data from you, I'll give an ok in the list.

So here we go (I'll use the final list as reference):

It was fantastic! Racing with top quality drivers that I wouldn't have raced any other way! I was surprised at the pace I had and didn't Finnish as far down as I thourt I was.

My new target is to get top tens!
You held your own exrtemely well! You were always there in the middle battling with top racers:). I saw your level go up really high that race, can't to see you at motegi.
I thought the commentary went off-topic a bit too often but it was still nice to have.
True, but 1h30mn race is tough to always commentate. Including the fact they were doing it live so they always had to stay or try to stay on point is really hard.
They will get better as the three get more chemistry with each other!

I just watched the video on youtube with the commentators - must say it gets me excited! This thing is becoming serious :).
Good to see my teammates doing very well in the Audis. @Leoni Dias , I will be happy to cooperate with my Motec data, you can count me in.
There has been a lot of criticism to the organizers about various issues. Keep in my mind that they are doing all for free in their free time. However, I think it is wise for them at least to open their ears for the constructive arguments. As I have asked before about the 7 drivers that did not do grading - I understand why you are doing it (more quality and faster drivers that you know are good) but if you are even more clear and transparent from the beginning this will lead to more respect and trust from all the drivers no matter their pace.

Very excited for the coming season, will be there for Pre-season race 2.

Regards,
SkyBridge

Do I need to download the Motec application or can I simply export the reply data to USB and then pass it on?

No, don't worry with that, you and the other drivers just need to send me the i2 file you exported from GT6.

If you have any other doubts, please check the Motec i2 button in the OP.

How do you use the data to assist with car balance, is it generally a combination of laptime and speed/g-force analysis?

Just curious incase I'm balancing cars of my own in future.

In motec i2 there are infinite possibilities that we can check to improve your driving and even your car. Generally, for setup improving, you can check the suspension and tyres information, then you can decide what you'll do with your car. But GT6 don't have these informations, so, you need to compare with another car or driver, you can check it by the Maximum G force (lateral and longitudinal), the max and average speed, compare the speed and Lateral G force in the apex of the corner, you can also check the time per lap (or per race) with full throttle applied.

I'm now creating a GRIP level math channel in motec i2, with that we can do another 2 channels that is oversteer rate and understeer rate to check in which situations the cars are oversteering or understeering, then we can analyse with cornering radius X steering angle to conclude if it's a setup problem, driver problem or car problem.

I don't know if I explained it very well haha, but if you have some doubts or want some tips, send me a PM. I'll be glad to help you. :D

thers 3? i only head 2. but they are realy good. i dont know about you but i enjoy listning to them and the fact that they go off topic makes it enjoyable and keeps me entertained! if you watch the WEC they don't just talk about the race but other things some time very different things.
If only they did AM as well, I would love seeing what they got up to!

We had brntguy (the broadcaster) telling us about various happenings around the track. You couldn't hear him because his mic was muted for anyone who wasn't sitting in on the Skype call.

First of all I wanna say that it was a great race with some hot battles and I had great fun until the very end, the top3 was in battle until the last laps and it shows the competition we have this season, but not only the podium, except few cases we could see awesome battling in the mid pack throughout the whole race and the final positions were totally unpredictable. From exception to the Audi drivers that "destroyed" everyone all cars seemed well balanced, maybe very little advantages here and there but overall they seemed pretty good in my eyes. Maybe the major problem were the NSX's that despite the update for this track they seemed to be overpowered in the long straights, we'll have to see how it goes in the 2nd pre-season race and adjust if needed before the official season starts, maybe it was just a Daytona problem for the NSX's.

I've seen some parts of the replay and the Audi car is not "sooooo" unbalanced as some guys were saying, yeah maybe a bit and perhaps we could remove some bhp before the 2nd pre-season race, truth is the car is fast and in the right hands it's able to do damage but in terms of top speed it is close to Z4 and SLS. The GT-R is few Km/h down but has other advantages. I'll still take a better look at other cars but I think the major problem in this race was the NSX's as I mentioned earlier.

After the race there was a huge debate about the Audi specs considering the times they were pulling from everybody else, the gap was huge and checking the times everyone else was pretty close except TNR_Pfeffer702 and TNR_5zigen.

Before I said anything about the car and the specs I had to check their laps and this is my conclusion: Both TNR guys are good and it seems that they know the Audi car like the palm of their hands, they also know how to tame the beast (the R8) which is not easy but they take everything out of it and together with a good setup that's key.

Together with this there was a few things that I noticed that both of them did in the race and I don't consider it right as everybody else was doing the right way, I took some photos when I watched the replay just in case.

These were taken in different laps and I remember seeing that in sector 4 they were gapping almost a second in comparison to all the others when doing this. I'm not saying that they did this the entire race but I saw too many times. I'll take a better look when I have the time for it and if needed. Despite this I wanna congratulate them for the awesome race and they were the fastest ones on track for sure even on other sectors.

Anyway sorry for my long post and to finish this up, I also wanna say that I was bit dissapointed with the live broadcast, I was really looking forward to it but they missed too much from the race. Just an example, 5~10minutes to end the race and 2nd to 5th place were pretty close and they had absolutely no idea about it.
