[ORA] FIA GT World Championship [S3] | TRL_Evo and Ramalhinho are your PRO and AM Champions!Finished

@TNR_KING_FILO None of those incidents were cutting because technically the kerbs are actually part of the track, and since the Merc had two wheels on the kerbs or the track the entire time, it is legal.

Just to clear up what you said. With curbs like those at Daytona, you have to have two tires on curb and two tires on track. We all know what out of bounds is. Everyone taking the bus stop like the pictures show, would have received penalties for it. Even a steward or series organizer. These are the exact things I look for on the replays. No one will get away with cutting corners. :)

Look guys from where I'm standing it looks like some people are not listening. During S2 their where complaints about the regs so we were promised decent regs for this season however it could still be inprove.
In a room you, COD said there no sutch thing as a perfect series. My respose is, no there is no such thing as a perfect series however you always want a series to be as good as it can't be. What I mean is if there is a hole fill it in, if there a problem with the series fix it.

Regs are hard to make but fill is probley the most exprenced at making them. He has made regs for all his TNR series and for the future ORA WEC series. HE KNOWS WHAT HES ON ABOUT!

Yeah p2 lol had nobody near me for ages. I finished on the lead lap, what about you?
1 down, must have been the timing screen being awkward throughout the race then. The track glitched at one point too, not loading textures for a lap.

Still happy with P3 as I felt I was miles off the pace in qualifying.

Just went over the replay. Gunna have to give @TNR_5zigen a stern talking to over track limits. apologies.

Ps. I do think we all were a bit abusive on the track limits in the bus stop, some more than others.

After reviewing some of the things that have gone on on this thread and in the race room last night, i dont belive this series is for me. To much drama, arguments and not enough fun. Hope this all works out for the ppl running it. Good luck to everyone in season 3

I understand, to let you know though these were never intentions we had in mind and I blame myself for that

We know he's a skilled tuner, but we are having conflicts due to Filo's and Cod's rivaling attitudes.

I never thought this would be so stressing... Come on, this was just a Pre-Season race. I believe the Stewards are doing everything is possible to make the cars the most equal possible. But like in reality, some cars are better than others, they are only theoretically equal. If the ORA wanted to make this even more balanced for everyone they've had done a One Make Championship, WHICH THEY ALREADY HAVE. But no, this is a World Championship with all the cars from real teams, like the real deal.

About cutting corners, I understand why ORA is so rigid on this matter, because in real motor racing the purpose is to go as fast as possible with all the wheels between the two white lines of the track. They're trying to make this Championship as fair as possible, as real as possible. This is not suppose to be fun, this takes a lot of work to put on, a lot of time and a lot of effort by them. I think we, as drivers and motorsport lovers, should stick with certain principles.

I hope you guys do not take this the wrong way, I just wanted to give my opinion after a fast reading of all the posts, despite not having participated in the race yesterday.

I appreciate it mate but I've said a penny's worth, it's their series and only them can change it for the best.

My first lap will be in the lobby just before Qualifying :P
:P good luck then.
I myself can only practice and race on weekends so I only have a day and half to practice and most of that time is taken from other things:P. But it is enough to keep me competitive with all these crazy fast drivers.

Why is the Audi so fast? It's not pure top speed. It's how fast it gets there, it is a MR which means it has a lower front profile than most other cars which means les drag which means quicker acceleration and if you notice it is still climbing at 180 where the other cars are dead. It is also the single most broken car in the game as far as I'm concerned. It over rotates like there's no tomorrow in slow corners and dropped throttle situations. This means if you set it up right you can abuse this brokenness and carry very high corner speeds. Just clarifying the Audi situation, it's not top speed.

I can usually get to a pace level that I am happy with after 6 or 7 laps provided my setup is stable. It won't be quick enough to win races but it's good enough for me to be competitive .

I know that in order for me to get even quicker I'll need a lot of time, practice, tuning ability and natural talent but since I'm already trying my hardest at another series (see signature) I'm content with the occasional good result.

Speaking of tuning and driving however, are there any specific settings or techniques that the top drivers swear by? Every racing game has 1 or 2 things that somebody must know to be one of the Top 1% (which I would hit fairly often in Forza Motorsport 4) but I haven't been racing online in GT6 enough to figure those out yet (I use a DS3 by the way).

Yeah so we have started to work on those specs and I remember taking that into account from your post. So far we have started by giving it a hp drop and a slight weight addition.

Today I had my first go with the Nissan GT-R GT3 and I did 250km+ on Daytona. The car was on default settings, I didn't want to spend too much time in tuning the car for the track.
My best was a 1:46.618 on Racing Hard tyres. I don't know how good it is but at least I spent some time on the same track as all of you. Tomorrow I will practice for Motegi ;)

Are you aware that you guys can discuss setups publicly? Who will steal your setups if you post them here? I doubt that a guy in a Merc will steal a setup of a guy in a Nissan...

No offense to anyone huh, I just try to understand why people keep their setups private.

perhaps they don't want someone else to know if they are competing in a different series, GTPlanet Endurance Series for example
