[ORA] FIA GT World Championship [S3] | TRL_Evo and Ramalhinho are your PRO and AM Champions!Finished

Are you serious right now? The Audi drivers themselves said the car is way too fast. Torch said the regs are bad Eol who drives a SLS said it has too much horsepower and he said the Z4 is too fast. I'm in a room now with 9 people from both rooms who said the regs are bad. Pf and 5z said there bad. I don't quite understand how I beat you by 13 seconds the other day yet now I can't pass you.
That was my first run by the way.
And no those are false you are putting words in people's mouths like filo.
Who said these regs were perfectly equal anyways?

They all said that in the chat after the race you just dismissed them instantly and changed the subject. You say no one said the regs are equal then what do you think should be done to them?

I'll vouch for @ozwheels. The Audis were usually a clear 2-3 seconds faster than the rest of the field; we saw that every time we went into the live timing and scoring screen. I think there were 3 laps total when an Audi wasn't leading, and those were during pit cycles. The rest of the time they were smoking everyone.

Ok everyone let's calm down, this goes to everyone. Some of you guys are forgetting that this was a pre-season race, the sole purpose of this is to improve on anything we might have issues with before the real season begins.

Lastly. I forgot who you guys were but to those drivers who told @Toshost to leave during the restart, don't do that again, only the stewards and I have the ability to ask someone to leave.

That is false. After the race none of them said unfair regs only you and filo.
I said gr to all of them that isn't even changing a subject that for one didn't exist.
We will update regs as this is the staffs series we decided to adjust specs throughout pre season

I know, that is what preseason is for

Things didn't seem imbalanced in AM. Fastest lap was 1:44 which a few drivers got. My PB was a 45.9 but I reckon there's another second in there if a better driver took on the Ford.

Bear in mind that Daytona is a power circuit as well, you'd need to compare times on a grip track like Suzuka as well before claiming imbalance.

Thank you for finally a mature post

I'm not gonna argue about who said what. If anyone wants valid prof of what I'm talking about watch lap 3 in the PRO race of me drafting cod. He's in the SLS and I'm in the Viper, he does the same mph as me without any draft. Then at the end of the lap Torch in a Z4 pulls on me like there's no tomorrow when he's drafting me. FILO in the GTR on the same lap couldn't pull on eol who was in the SLS. Lap 32 I'm following Kris who has RH and damage and I'm on RM, I can't even pull up to his bumper on oval. Lap 33 he hits a wall and I pass him, then before we get to the bus stop he's already back in front of me.

For anyone saying these cars will be balanced on a high df track you have to remember the cars in question don't lose any time on the infield at Daytona.

Like I said I respect the work it takes I put on a series, but this a serious issue.

I personally do not see a reg problem here. Of course the cars are different and some got better straight line speed, more horsepower or better balance. But you need to see that at first Daytona is not a "general" race circuit. If a car like the SLS got more horsepower and you drive on Daytona where a significant aspect is straight line speed there is a bit of an advantage. The difference would be a lot smaller on circuits like the Nürburgring, Motegi or the A1 Ring.

And I think it's more interesting when you have different cars that have there strenghts and weaknesses.
Moreover this was our first race after having the cars for about 2 weeks maybe ? It takes time to get to know the car and set it up perfectly for your own.

If the difference between the cars is too big at other circuits (especially the ones that we race) I would agree to adjust the specs.

Anyway I liked the first race at AM even if there was some trouble we had good racing at some parts.

Last thing I want to add is that I think 6 minutes of Qualifying is way too less. 15 Minutes would be perfect!

Different topic: Some feedback on Twitter.

I like that the series has a Twitter account, but I feel it should be used more. If you want some examples, check out @RlyRbshRacing and @GotekiHouse, both are quite active, especially on race days.

This conversation will cease immediately here, we'll continue in private.
That's cool if it's gonna end on the thread but can someone actually acknowledge there's a problem. Please watch the pro replay and look at my examples.

Thank you for the feedback, we'll take a look at those guys!

Reading the thread, I see that calm, humble and mature members post very good arguments explaining their opinion, in a very good manner. Others, the arrogants, prouds, thirsty wins, are just arguing about only one situation, saying that the regs are pretty bad, etc. They just think of themselves, nothing more.

ORA is pretty young and is still growing. We know that our rules are not perfect. But we don't need people raging about our work. We would prefer to see people to help us. That's really more productive. If guys prefer to continue to be agressive and arrogant, we can ban them from ORA series, that's not a problem. We prefer to be a small group with great people rather than a big group plenty of guys who complain.

I stated that i was dissapointed with the regs after the race, and say audi is wayyy to fast, nsx to slow. Havent done any laps in z4 or sls with ur regs so i cant complain about that. Some points in the race id put 3 seconds a lap on 2nd place. I maybe only ran 3-4 1:44's the whole race. I would recommend 500hp and try testing that.

We will definately update it.
Regarding the NSX we will change it too but it does not go well on a fast track like Daytona

Well an interesting AM Pre-season opener to say the least!!

Firstly congratulations to @llmorganll @BAZZER and @PJTierney for the podium!

I've been very much looking forward to finally getting amongst you all and go racing for real. I must say I am quite disappointed with some people's attitudes, as stated it's a pre-season so I don't see the need to be so fired up about anything including regulation glitches. I won't be getting involved in the bicker about regs, I will say that in the AM room parity seemed really nice (apart from @llmorganll having the drive of his life but I suspect he had some help from his PRO team mates ;) ), I had brief battles with an SLS and Z4, yeah sure there were differences in places but there was always disadvantages and advantages for one or the other around the circuit.

Onto my little race debrief; Qualified 8th after a bung quail session, the pits glitched so we all were delayed getting out for the pits for some reason plus the fact I cut the bus stop a little so slowed a little scrubbing a nice lap made for me to just miss finishing my second lap in time. Was surprised to see 8th!
First time we've all been together to do a real rolling start was no surprise of a dodgy attempt to be honest, IMO there was wayyy to much chat while attempting the 2nd pace car lap was quite off-putting for the rest of us trying to get around cleanly, a little annoying having people constantly ghosting on and off while they're saying a whole bunch of stuff and I'm just trying to go along with race procedure.
Restart was much better, I'm glad it was single file, was hectick enough into turn 1 as it was, and I held off a little to avoid anything lol. A few mistakes from people up ahead over the next 20mins had me unto 3rd! Actually set my fastest lap ever (including my practising) through this point trying to get unto the back of Flanked in 2nd before he and Morgan pitted and touched 1st for awhile and decided to finally pit myself.

Rolling back out into 3rd and was sure I could make the race in 1 pit stop and potentially pass Flanked by his 2nd pit stop (at the time I had no idea if he was doing 1 or 2). By the 50th minute I had @James Cooper catching me on RMs for a few laps and adding some nice pressure, after a few laps I got a bump from behind going into the bus stop causing me to try and avoid the wall but ended in one anyway lol.
Making a couple more mistakes while limping round to the pits with damage made me lose time, and all broke my concentration so of course made a couple more while trying to at least salvage 3rd or 4th after pitting, mistake free I could've maybe caught the back of @PJTierney before the end of the race maybe and sure enough everybody else pitted! haha, so a little disappointed knowing I could've been further up but I salvaged 5th in the end :).

Pre-season though so it was just good to be in the mix with everyone, despite all our mistakes, and finally be able to see how we all go in actual race distance ;). I'm hell keen looking forward to the replays! Thank you Stewards :)

We are pleased to announce that Steve and Pedro are now part of the ORA Staff.
We observed them for a long time now and talked with them.
There is absolutely no doubt that they are a great addition into the group.
We wait from them to stay as they are, natural, calm and loyal.

Welcome behind the scenes!
