good afternoon, had a great time yesterday at the lounge, nice to be on that ordl drivers table. Can't wait for corvette cup, and for now i hope to get to drive in a championship, with longer races

So the Special Series has kicked off! Great races last night, my driving was however inhibited due to sunshine and alcohol :)

Looking forward to The Italian Job and Corvette Knockout Cup, more events for this series are to be added on a regular basis.

@Luvtarmac, Certainly get signed up to a Championship Event. I think there is a space In Japanese Super Cup.

I will be updating all our templates to the new design over the next few days and adding more to the history section. It has been noted that some results were missing from the GT500 Cup so that will also be added.

Congratulations to Doctorpotford, Mosendtner and Totallyteckle for the podiums last night, our Drivers League Table is starting to hot up now!

I want to thank you again for the great event last night, and also I am happy of becoming prince of the ring even though I did all i could to become King!

Hopefully I will be present in tonights race, but I am having guests tonight so not quite sure if I'll be there to defend my first place.

No problem about tonight mate. Maybe we can be Kings when it comes to the Italian Job!

Evo

Just realised there is a race tonight and i'm afraid i'm not going to be able to make it. Sorry for the last minute exit but i've just started a new job and it's playing havoc with my, now limited, free time.

Happy racing everyone.

Teckle.

Race Series: F430 Cup.

Was it the F430 show tonight? Or was it the Rossy show?

Congratulations mate. Great wins for you tonight :)

Admin:

Update to rules section, please check the website to view changes. If members spot any errors or think another rule is required then please contact me via PM.

Congrats to Rossy for last night, great racing once again!

Still time for driver to enter the Picture Of The Month competition, c`mon lads the theme for this month certainly deserves more entries. Dont forget the ORDL points are up for grabs too.

More updates coming to the website including improved history section to make finding results easier with new style result templates.

I would like to formally announce our new Pro Series. As some of you may have seen a new page has been created on our website. I will be editing this page over the next week or so.

M1racing will be running the Pro Series in an Endurance format as a Junior Admin member. Doctorpotford will be assisting him in the running of the Series in a informal capacity. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome them aboard the admin team and look forward to seeing what they have planned.

I will let M1racing and Doc post more information on the Series, format and regulations and to also post details of upcoming practice sessions.

The Pro series will be kept to a weekly routine, every Sunday. Our other Series do not run on the same day each week as you may know so it will be nice to have a rigid series for people to enjoy.

IMPORTANT:

The Incident Report Form has had little to no use since it was added. Can all members please report if they feel they have been involved in an incident that was not their fault. The admin team will be keeping a close eye on races and will be giving penalties if required for incidents that are obviously deserving.

Remember, if you do not submit a report we cannot action an incident. This ties in with the updated rules section, penalty points or a time penalty WILL be given if required.

I am still working on creating our first ORDL Racing Team event, some teams are interested and we are working toward setting up an event soon, more info will be posted as I get it.

Hey all, just registered on the website, your Japanese Super Cup looks interesting. If I get approved I'll be signing up to that.👍

Thats great I will pm you soon. There may not be a place left in the Japanese Super Cup but I am sure there will be a space in an event somewhere.

Evo

Ah ok, no problem, it said there was one spot left on the site, maybe that was for something else though, heh.

It may still be available, we operate on a first come first served basis so if we can get your registration complete in time then you need to post to request the place.

The following new registrations must attend Open Lounge/Time Trial Lounge on the 11th of July to complete registration or their application will be removed. If you cannot attend please PM me or Itz.

KING_SHIFT_
LITTLEWELSHRACER
FLIMBO84
WEAL77
GTP_U4IK

The Track/Car combo for this weeks Time Trial is Autumn Ring with the Lotus Evora. Remember, only R M tyres are permitted and vehicle must be stock.

nice, looking forward for that endurance racing

nice, looking forward for that endurance racing

It will certainly benefit the league in so many ways, especially been scheduled same time same place every week.

I am sure M1 will be along at some point today to release further information. I will be signing up for races as and when work permits and I think we may see some more new members joining us from M1s previous league group. Again this is a benefit to the league to have new members and to vary the competition and skill levels.

>>Evo

yes it will, although its a shame that gt5 server capacity is poor, and in endurance you sort of need that, because different classes and lots of people make it that much more interesting and challenging at the same time

Edwardovic has left the admin team, I will update website and thread as required.

The thread OPs are undergoing an overhaul so if anyone notices any out of date information here, on on the website then please let me know.

Home page has been updated to include schedule information.

@Tarmac, hopefully we will see an improvement once GT6 is released and we transfer over to the new title. M1 has some great ideas to make the racing close and interesting so even newbies are not left behind.

Edit - Registration info edited

Its something im looking at for future events. We had issues in the early days with people complining it was too hard. Im looking at events that will require a tyre change via pitsop to a different compound.

We do listen to our members and we want to keep everyone happy, sometimes this is hard with regulations but can certainly be looked at.

Pro Series

Thank you Evo for the introduction.

Quick brief of this event:

1) 2 races every Sunday night (7:30pm to 10pm UK time) starting 8th Sep and last race should be on 24th Nov. 1st race will be appox 20min and 2nd race will be around 40 to 50min.
2) Cars will be selected GT500, running up to 581BHP and 1120KG (to be confirm).
3) Minimum of 2 types of tyres will be used on race 2, tyre and fuel usage is set at high, it will be tactical with 2 to 3 stops, like F1 - tyres tyres tyres + fuel(for extra fun)!
4) There are BHP and tyre handicaps to keep racing and championship as close as possible.
5) No need to be very quick to enjoy this event, as long as you race clean, stay on track and done ‘enough’ testing with a good plan, it is possible to win race 2 even if you are over 1 sec per lap off the pace on race 1.

Pre-season event starting this Sunday (Nub GP/F) 7:30pm, everyone welcome to try it out even if you are not able to join the main event on Sep, have a go!

However, all drivers who like to take part in this event must complete one of the three pre-season events (on the 14th July, 21st July and 1st Sep) without causing incident and must finish both races within the 180s time limit. Speed is not important to join this event, but you must be able to keep your car under control at all times, so that we can all enjoy long clean battles without too much worry. No one like to spend hours testing and planning for the event and got bump off the track on the first lap.

There will be testing events to help anyone with problems. I will try to set a testing event this Fri.

More details coming very soon.

As also stated, more info soon!

Enjoy

Hi guys, Just to be completely sure, the italian job event is run without any aids at all and on sports soft? just so I don't practice for one thing and then see it all go to waste.

Hey mos. Thanks for spotting it. There is a mistake on website. All aids are off except for ABS which is on. And yes, sports softs.

I will update site now.
