We have all been there, so we all know what it its like to be the new guy. also I find that learning by doing is the best way to get better.

If you're interested and have the time, I would gladly help you with some practice sessions, maybe even get more people to join these sessions. I ahve at this point already helped gray a bit and if he and others would like to, I would gladly help as much as possible.

You can always PM me on GTP or add me on PSN and we can arrange some sessions.
this offer stands for everyone who think they could benefit from practice sessions, where we discuss lines and I will try and help you push your car to the limit, maybe even beyond

argh sorry for the double post can you delete one of them please?

No problem about the double post, my phone has glitched before resulting in double post.

Mos has always been there for our newer members and Gray will certainly continue to improve as we all will. This thread is always open for discussion about tracks/lines and im sure we will see more people posting about tracks with the launch of GT6.

I am currently trying to organise our first event for the new title but I wont have anything concrete until my copy drops through the door.

Roll on Tuesday for GT Academy, this again is a great tool for everyone and I would certainly recommend it for all new racers. Despite the initial sense of frustration you find that the academy helps no end to enhance understanding of racing and ends up being very addictive.

hey guys, what about that gt6 demo, since i am not wery familiar with this stuff maybe someone could tell me how do i get it on tuesday, or its not that easy?

Any offer of help will always be accepted.. spare time permitting.

My problems are not racing line related as I have been an avid amchair motorsport fan for close to 50yrs and I taught my son well enough in his R/C car racing to 2 tamiya eurocup junior British championships and a couple of pretty decent results in europe.

I have club raced online before on rFactor and did improve to some extent, always enjoyed my racing whatever the result, I aim to finish and be as clean as possible when my competitors are around me.

My biggest issue is consistancy on braking points, I dont seem to be able to hit my markers on a regular basis, so lots of track time is needed to improve that, which is great when I do have the time !, new tracks (of which GT has lots for me) are my devil to beat at the moment.

Getting used to my new wheel and getting a more consistant setup will help too, swapping from sitting room to dining room to pc monitor is not ideal.

will be around for a while to come, looking forward to GT6 like everyone else, but dont be concerned I am always my own biggest critic.

Wall of text crits you all for 2000 hit points (thats enough for now).

if talking about braking, i must say it is a problem for me too, not just in simracing, in real life too, and i'm working on it a lot, and yet, there's sad amount of improvement for couple of years now, of course playing with setup and brake pedal response helps, but not enough. Anyway, practice makes it better starion, i also understand that for family man spare time is hard to find, but if you want some company training just say here or in psn, also there comes a time when you reach a limit of lap times, and if you are not a professional racing driver, a person should ask for some help from faster guys, i know i do.

Good day to you all

"Everyone is really friendly".....

I'm feeling the love already mate. 👍

Yes they are!
Esco87 has helped me a lot, great!
I've had my wheel a few months now and I'm slowly improving. Learning all the time, practice as much as possible. I know it will take a while to win a race, if I ever do!!! But it's great trying.

Entry : July Theme - Allan Simonsen Le Mans Tribute

A great start to this months photo competition. Lets hope they keep rolling in over the next week or so. All images will be added to our website POTM PAGE so members dont have to keep scrolling through thread pages to find them all.

All the above event results are now available in our HISTORY section. My apologies for it taking so long to get done, I have been really busy.

Here is my picture for this months competition, I have more than one but I don't want to limit other in their choice of setting so they will have to wait until the 18th.

Thanks for your entry Mos, another great picture. Added to POTM page. The standard looks like its going to be very high this month and we are only on the 1st of July.

well, i read that sounds should be improved and that they would use a different physics model, for suspension and tyres, and i dont know if i noticed something new there, but to be fare i only did couple of laps in every time trial yesterday, maybe i need more time. Plus its just a demo, we dont know what they gave us, it could jus be the old gt5 with silverstone and new interface

I been busy lately so sorry no pics yet.I had 40 mins on the demo last night and I noticed the body roll most and I would say it feels a little different when you're tyres lose grip, also after u overheat the tyres it seems to affect the grip for longer which is good. Most of all loving silverstone and can't wait to put in a whole lap.

All good news about GT6 but has anyone been disappointed like myself once again?

I wouldnt say disappointed, more not reaching potential. However the demo will be far from finished product so there may be other bits to be finalised before release.

Cars certainly feel different and lighting is well improved. There are so many aspects that could be added to GT and hope PD keep listening to us all.

Evo

hey guys, couple words about silverstone lap for academy, i dont know what these people in lets say top 10 rankings are doing but i refuse to believe they are human, only alien can do that time :D anyway looking forward to see the academy itself after this, how they do on real track
good day to you all

I agree. GT6 should be called GT 5.1, same game with different physics, theme, and fonts. Feels like a money grab to me. Over 5 years for this? Same music, same BS bounce off walls, etc... It is unacceptable for polyphony to do this, knowing we will all still buy a re-heated turd in the microwave. A real slap in the face to all of us to think we wouldn't notice or care. BS BS BS
