Here are the results for Round 2 qualifying.

Congratulations to Hatfield for scoring his first pole in the ORS series.

Pole is a good way to redeem myself from fuel and penalty dramas of round 1.

Seemed like everyone on mediums made 1 mistake on their lap but mine was the least time consuming.

Hopefully should be a good race.

TEAM BRG PRESS RELEASE
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BRG%2520Logo.jpg

Team British Racing Greens (also commonly known as Team B.R.G) are pleased to announce the forming of a new race team for the upcoming Lotus “96” RM season featuring Asuka611 and mrtaital, both drivers bring vast experience and racing craft to the series in what we're hoping will be a successful series for the team and drivers.

Here they are in action:

The team have been hard at work prepping the drivers and crew for the hard work of the season ahead, with smooth driving and fast efficient pit stops needed to overcome identical nature of the cars this season. The pit crew have been equally hard at work preparing for the season ahead.

We would also like to announce the joint partnership with the Lotus Ladies Cup drivers who will crew for our team this season, the ladies are excited to be the first all girl pit crew in ORS history.

mrtaital told us he is thrilled to have asuka611 in his team for this season, when asked how he felt about the joint venture of the Lotus Ladies all we got in reply was a bit of drool and an awkward moment where he covered his groin region, we ended our interview with him at this point.

We would like to thanks Asuka611 and mrtaital along with the Lotus Ladies drivers in giving us their time in the lead up to what should be an action packed round 2 tonight.

Here's a short video of the Lotus Ladies drivers in a promotional video

My number 69, and spot in ORS is available for anyone who's interested.

Sad to see you go cac.

Horrible round 2, got off cleanly and held the lead with team hornet and my teammate lost close behind.
Eventually they got a run on me and I let them through after the back straight.

Continuing on lost took damage coming onto the main straight and eventually I had a spin somewhere. I don't remember as that was the rest of my race, drive, spin, drive spin.

I hit a wall too and ended up near the end of the field.

I was quick on new tires, but once they were worn the car was horrible to control.

Looking at the other tracks lined up this season I am not sure I want to continue. They all have big elevation changes which make the car a handful.

You're a quick driver Hats and a strong competitor. We all have our ups and downs (mostly downs for me). It's only taken me 70 plus races to somehow be in the right place at the right time in the ORS.
You had some penalties last race then you came out and creamed us all in qualifying for round two which was a great effort and reply. You had good pace at TM, I was giving my all to stay with you. For what it's worth, I'd encourage you to keep at it. Sometimes you have a bit of luck and make the right choices and it pays off, sometimes it doesn't, that's racing. Next week's another round and who knows what could happen. :)

Hopefully that's just the rage talking....:mad::mad::mad:

Hopefully PD gets online racing sorted, getting lagging and DCd' sorted should be there top priority

Stick with it hat. Yes the car is a massive pain in the a*se and is the most frustrating car I've driven (lift off over steer is a killer) but as Oni said, smooth steering and even throttle control helps a lot. I kept spinning at TM when I was practicing with jas and lost, so I decided to watch what they were doing with their throttle control around corners. Those guys can drive so I changed my style to try and match and worked for me.....finally. So have a practice with those guys, watch what they do and see how you go.

My race was alright last night. Plan was to keep smooth until I jumped on mediums. A couple of laps in and as i was sideways around a corner I noticed taits in the wall and rolling backwards towards the middle of the road. For some reason I tried to go round him on the outside but too late and he started rolling forwards so I jammed it into the wall so I would ruin his race. Slight damage so kept going. then The back end spat me into the wall and damage was too much, pitted 3 laps before I needed to, then was by myself till next pit where I had a 16 lap battle with gtv. His skills are a bit too good, so just couldn't get passed him.

Was a good race, bad luck to lost who was quick and well done to top 3.

I'd ran wide and tapped the grass, couldn't gather the car back and I slide into the wall and ended up across the circuit, knowing we had a good gap i quickly hit reverse and started to steer and drive forward when you came around the corner on a the line I crashed on had me amazed, i was damaged from my initial crash and I apologise if i effected your race

My race was planned out well but with a crash on lap 2 giving me left front damage I had to struggle with the shaking wheel without hitting other drivers trying to make up time.

Pitted and crashed a few laps later with the same left front damage, pitted again and hit the same wall at the same angle.

Entered the race with a stomach bug that eventually claimed my race forcing me to make a longer then planned pit stop.

Came back out on hards and just drove around.

Was an epic battle after I pitted seeing Oni reel in so much time over Jasr.

Great race everyone, hoping all the rage fades during the week as we look forward to our first sprint round

Congrats to all on their results

Nah mate didn't effect me at all, was my fault for picking a stupid line, the car drove quite well with damage. Was my second tap of the wall running by myself that ruined it ;)

vh_mik's lap of 1.35.494 on L33 is legal and stands as the fastest lap of Round 2. Top effort mik! 👍

ORS | SEASON 11 | ROUND 3 | PRE RACE BRIEFING

For round 3 we head to the Cape Ring South for 3 x 18 lap sprint races.

The following ORS Rules apply at all times during qualifying and racing.

- 2 wheels must stay inside the white line.
- Drivers must ensure when entering the pits that they nor their b-spec driver cuts the white lines
- Drivers must stay inside pit exit line when exiting pits
- Regardless of position when overtaking the car in front has the ownership of the racing line
- Lapped cars must give way to leaders of the race and not become an obstacle
- Ramming not tolerated
- Foul language not tolerated
- Please keep text comments to a minimum while qualifying sessions are underway
- Text chat can only be used by stewards during a race

If you are found to be cutting corners or running wide consistently or frequently then you will be penalised by the stewards. Penalties can range from point deductions, grid penalties, 1 race bans and up to disqualifications from the entire ORS Season 11. Ensure you have read all the rules in the opening post (page 1).

A full list of penalties and the points that will be applied to a driver for each penalty can be found by clicking the banner below.

If you do have an off be wary of the reduced grip level once you've rejoined the track. Also when rejoining, please aware of your position on the track relative to your fellow races. Drivers rejoining the track must give way to race traffic and not become an obstruction.

All drivers must ensure they have set their cars to their Tiers required specifications (see page 1) for the race. Failure to comply can results in disqualification from the race to removal from the series.

Now finally all drivers must make sure they submit their tyre choice for qualifying/race start by 12pm (Sydney time) today. Once your tyre choice has been submitted you cannot change it. If you fail to nominate a tyre by the deadline you will qualify and start the race on Sports Hards.

Sorry for the delay as i am a bit sick today.

Regards,

Oni
ORS Committee

I understand my qualifying lap I may have cut a corner somewhere but I feel that voiding my time is over the top.

Reason being, I used my DS3 which I haven't used in a few months, and it was my first lap with that car at that circuit. I wasn't meaning to, but its harder to get the apex of the corner with a controller using D-pad.

Also, with the time I got, I wasn't much faster than JTV and he was on hards.

Obviously though, if the stewards deem it necessary for the time to remain void, then so be it.

I am not sure if I can make it tonight, depends on daughters bed time.

So don't wait for me, I will PS message Oni if I can join.

Unfortunately Hat, the stewards advised me that your time was void due to a few cuts that were outside of the white line rule. As i couldn't watch your lap as i was on track at the same time i cannot pass judgement and at the end of the day its up to the stewards to decide on such matters.

If one of the stewards would like to respond to hatfields reasons to why the incident happened (being on a controller etc) and advise why they voided the time or will re-look into the incident that would be fantastic.

Cheers,
Oni.

We are currently looking into this, we will have a response before race start. Providing we can get a reply from all stewards, we will also post it beforehand.

Hi Hatfield,

We've had a discussion between the three of us and we have come to the decision that the penalty will stand and your time has been voided for the following reasons.

As per fastest laps in races you must comply with ORS rules outlined in the main post and every pre-race briefing of the white line rule.

On two separate occasions on your lap you were observed to have all 4 wheels beyond the white line and on the ripple strip, no attempt was made to avoid any possible time gain.

Whilst we have taken into account the fact that you were using a DS3, we feel a driver should be responsible for any actions under taken by them during all officials sessions.

Mr T,

Fair enough, penalty stands. I still don't know if I can make it tonight.

Edit: So I forgot it was a sprint round but luckily it was!!

So I made race 2 and 3.

Pole for race 2, spin lap 2, drop to last, work my way back up to 2nd.

Race 2 on hards pit end of lap 4 and work my way from 10th up to 8th on meds.

Although the last corner pass was not ideal, sorry evan. I pulled up alongside in braking and maybe you didn't see me when you turned in, we had a drag for the finish and I came out on top by 0.006 (I think).

Looks like my teammate got lost again :S

Hey guys,
Apologies once again for my crazy internet connection tonight. Hopefully after some time with friends at Tech Support - The Inter-webs and I are on better terms. Hope everyone had some good racing and enjoyed the night. :)

Hey everyone, please send Jasr73, asuka611 or myself a private message on here or PSN as soon as possible if you would like an incident reviewed so we can wrap up the review before the weekend.

Thanks.
