yeh me and stubz had a run tonight, he runs pretty much same pace as me so he would be a middle runner if was to join, just have to see if theres a spot now.

A thing me and Xerx came across tonight in a bit of prac was the the fact that in the wet race we have coming up at Monza, the whole tyre compound handicap system goes out the window. We did tests and the inter's are about 4 and half seconds slower so there is too much dis advantage for the faster paced blokes.

Just wanted to start up a convo about any ideas people have for resolving this issue? just so we can work it out asap and start prac on the right tyre for our ability

handicap rules apply to the dry tyre compounds not the wet tyres as there is to much of a grip difference with intermediates in full rain.

During a wet race everyone runs full wets/intemediates depending on track conditions. But as the track beings to dry the faster drivers can only go to mediums while the mid packers go softs etc.

I imagined that we would have a Rain (Fixed) race so I did not see this as an option! But that sounds good! Glad to have the clarification too.

From my qualifying for the S15-RM i would imagine i would be in the fast drivers category?

Did some testing with Spinner, Rota, Xerx last night Thanks for the add fellas

I was only .014 faster than your time around GVS in the S15RM and no-one topped my time all season to the best of my knowledge!

As for testing last night, I expect you will soon catch up to my pace once you get your car run-in, engine power is very significant with all the long straights at Monza! Although I dropped even more time after yourself and Spin called it a night! :D

Yeah the race will start in the rain and without fixed rain it makes pit strategy more important as depending on conditions your pit strategy will change on the fly.

Hey ansquad mate good to see you came to GTP. I hope there is a spot left for you as your a superb racer and clean. raced with ya a a fair bit on and off.

I have drawn up a new teams table for everyone to check out with the resignations and additions to the championship. I have tried to fit the new drivers in somewhere where they will be best suited to keep the teams "even"... :nervous:

I think this should work and mean that we now how a full grid again! 👍
However, ansquad, you may miss out on this weeks race because Lost is resigning at the completion of this race so will most likely be competing, although you may still be able to compete as a wildcard driver for the week then take Lost's place as a regular driver after that... We will just have to play it by ear... ;)

Let me know if I have missed someone or got this horribly wrong!

Also, on another note, ansquad, you should use a Green paint chip for your Lexus to keep your team all-green as it seems a few teams did not come to a single colour arrangement...
Rusty, you could also dupe one of your Lapis Lazuli paint chips for Mike as he seems to run a different colour every week!...
As for teams 7 & 8 both running Blue... Well I give up, who would have thought it could be so hard to pick individual team colours!... :sly:

Cheers for fixing up the list mate. Unfortunately i cannot take part in this race as my PS3 isnt reading game DVDs anymore. Not sure whats going on. Read online i have to send it to sony so this monday ill send if off.. i have backed up my hdd and game saves so should be ok on that side however not sure how long it takes to get the ps3 back. Anyone had any experience in this?

Xerks if you can host this race that be fantastic and also PM your email address to me so i can give you access to the championship standings so you can update it as well. Also check with Jol to see if he is free and can take my spot for this race.

Hi mate, I will host the event no dramas! I hope my connection is up to it but I expect it should be fine and no-one in the championship now seems to have any issue connecting to my room!
Shame about the PS3 dramas mate 👎 I have not heard of disc read errors ever happening before, normally YLOD is the only thing that pulls them up... :scared:

Ok, so I will open up the room tomorrow no later than 8:25pm and if I get it up earlier will reset the track ready for qualifying at 8:30pm same as Oni normally does things!

Can someone explain the rules real quick. From what I gather, we come on at 830, do a qualiy lap, remember where we qualified, as the race starts we treat it as a warm up lap and form up on the grid where we should be then start on the next minute!
