Ok i took some photo's last night on Monza in regards to cutting and not cutting.

This is cutting, like seriously your wheels aren't on the racing surface lol
That looks like my line. *shifty eyes*

My best so far on a conventional (Lower front than rear ride height) setup is 1:08.32x...while using the 'X' button as the accelerator (hehe just to annoy you Lost).:D
I'm going to test the 'Pendulum effect' tune (higher front than rear ride height) that I think the rest of you guys use...see if its quicker and isn't to cruel on tyres. ;)

Rusty

I seem to have somehow thrown out all my previous setups with my old TAFE work... :( Either that or the cat ate them!
I did about 10 laps yesterday with a different setup on each lap, and am running pretty consistent 1'08.9's, not good.
Don't know what my best time was.
If anyone is keen to give me a few setup tips, that would be awesome,
as I'm pretty damn hopeless when it comes to getting a balanced setup.
The one I settled on is pretty terrible.
I should be on later today also to try and rectify my setup mistakes haha.

Ask Xerxs and get him to post it on here :sly:

Haha :)
Nah it's all good now. I just had a practice with Spin, Rota and Rusty,
and worked my setup out without having to 'borrow' anyone elses.
Just a quick tip from rusty about the ride height and it was all good 👍

So X will you do 1 pit or go all 18? Please tell.:D
I just clocked my fastest moments after everyone left the room yesterday arvo. 1:08.064 is my new best. I like the sprint race format, having 2 races is a great idea.:)👍

Hey Lost mate, I sent you a Visitor's message, looks like you already got the question sussed.:D

Haha yeah i sat thier trying to figure it out lol took awhile didnt click cause i didnt realise you had to write in inbetween the [color] blah [color]
haha

ill be trying to get into the 08s later tonight
but dont think be able to pull those consistantly with great wear.

Well... I will do some more testing tonight/tomorrow but I think I will go into each sprint with the intention of possibly making the tyres go the full 18 laps but if things are not working out I will change my strategy on the fly if need be... So honestly, I can't tell you until the middle of the race tomorrow what my strategy will be! :dunce:

Hoping to go 18 laps without a stop but if I get damage or wear is worse than anticipated or everyone else stops that strategy may be out the window and subject to change without notice... :sly:

Also, I want to get on track later tonight for some last minute testing. I've only done a little bit this week and really want to crack on and get into the 1:07s because I know I can do it... Just a matter of actually getting it done! 👍

Cheers, Xerx :)

EDIT:
So, what are everyone else's intentions tomorrow with regard to pitstops? :nervous:
From what I have seen in testing with Spinner and Rusty it will likely be a much of a muchness regardless of which way everyone goes...

HAHA so true!!:D

Deffinitely a winner...sorry Spin; taital's setup puts yours to shame!
It looks so comfy, very inviting seat thats bound to improve lap times.:D

On another note; I had a ball last night; great racing and practice by a fair portion of all series contenders. I can tell that removing the need to tune will bunch up the field in the next series alot. :)👍

thats it, im selling my projector and racing seat and setting up my computer monitor.

To be fair to my banging setup, it's a legit tv, built in DVD player BTW, as Roota said it still has the sticker on the side to show what it has, you know it was a shelf model..

I have since removed the chip packets so I can now see if my rears are locked exiting corners

You know rusty, I believe if you had a chocolate colored new York tub chair like mine, I believe you would have been so comfy that you would have seen common sense when building your so called track lol

Hey guys just a question:

We've been talking about the Cape Ring south sprint races as being 18 laps. It's in a few posts above, but I didn't bother quoting.

But is that confirmed as race length??

I guess Oni is the one to give us a definate answer.

Last series we did sprints around Rome, pretty sure it was 18 laps, similar to deep throat raceway isn't it?

As Mick said, Oni will be the one to give us the answer, but ultimately, the lap times are very similar to Deep Forest so I would expect that we would also do 18 lap sprints here! ;)

Cheers, Xerx :)

19 laps including the parade lap.

Who is hosting tonight? I've recieved no message regarding this race, so I really have no idea.

It'd be better if Xerx's hosted, but if Oni does host, just turn voice chat off all together, it can be very annoying if you don't have a mic on.

Xerxs should host tonights race as i only got my PS3 hooked up a minute ago. I am not sure i have everyones PSN (specially the new drivers). As Xerxs has everyone (i assume) then it be best if he hosts this race until i have everyone on my friends list.
