@Rota, yeah mate I wasnt completely aware of the backmarker rule, and I assumed that it was same as RL, considering that I passed 1 or 2 backmarkers (they got out of way immediately) before I reached you, yes I am aware I hit you, I assumed you would get out of the way as it was a fairly good spot to do so, all yoiu needed to do was take a slightly wider line, and I unwisely expected or predicted that you would do it at the last minute so thats why I hit you at full throttle, so a complete misunderstanding.

And the incident that actually led to the damage to my car, on the main straight, was my fault aswell as I was weaving towards you in frustration cos I thought you were basically targetting me deliberately, unaware of the rule.

Obviously won't happen again and I appologise for having a go at you post race, cheers.

@Riccasdio I agree the last 15 laps dragged out like a blade, but best to be consistent with the hour long format, we know the first race was a success, probably thats the last slow peice of **** FF car we'll be using for the rest of the champ anyway, and the track is not the best aswell.

The fact that I was driving around with Fryz - I wouldn't call it battling because he was slightly faster than me, and if I got infront, he would just pass me again, so I just decided to bump draft him down the straights as I had nothing else to do, and it'd mean we'd lose Oni - but as soon as I drove into the wall at the last corner it was over. I had to settle for 3rd. That was the most boring last 11 laps ever, it seemed to go on forever. I'm glad this race is out of the way, I'll be happy if the other golf race is in next week so I can get that out of the way.

Great race last night boys, I had fun following mike, gave you a few taps coming into the corners a little to fast, sorry mate but well done on 4th, great drive.

Sorry lost if I ruined your race early, you looked like you might have braked early or lag or something. I ended up with damaged and I looked like you might have as well, sorry. I didn't save the replay so I can't review.

Nah you were ok evan i didnt realise .. but my wheel was turning random directions after the race i noticed it wasnt even bolted to the tableand the feedback musta been swinging the wheel .. lol wasnt to fussed either im not a fan of that track.

Sitting at a cold and wet Bathurst, just had a v8 hit the wall front first at the end of conrod
 
I'm sitting at work. Nothing exciting to report other than a new hot receptionist who has started.

Looking forward to the next race though, really enjoying the quality and strength of this field.

On that note does anyone know a site where i can stream the prac's? Really wanting to watch all the races not just the V8's

And small fry buddy, be a good man and steal a shot of the new girl... im sure a lot of us would appreiciate it :D hahaha
 
Who's excited for GT5 2.0? Yeah I don't even care about it, but I do care about the 3 DLC pack that will become available a week after release!
 
Good news boys & Rota! Spec 2.0 is coming and so are tracks! What that means for this series is....

New tracks will be replacing a few of the tracks on the calender later in the series.

Also for those that didnt notice.. but 2.0 sports more RM cars.

- RM Subaru WRX 2010
- RM Mazda RX7
- RM Nissan GTR
- RM Nissan R34
- More to come...

Expect the next series to sport a few of these cars at the same time. After i get though testing these new RMs together to ensure close racing. Hope you guys are looking forward to the next RM series! Cause i know i am.

Christmas has come early boys!

winner winner chicken dinner im so looking forward to the new stuff, looks like they really have taken in all the feedback ay? Who is up for a nascar series mid week!? we could all have a different team now! haha
 
I say ditch this series, lets start up a series with those for RM cars :lol:

I agree with you roota, I love rotary's, especially RX-7's and the 787B (the real life one of course), I was obsessed with them a few months ago.
 
With this new 2.0 news it has given me new motivation to get back into GT5 seriously. I dont think i can wait till this series is finish. So i am herby announcing that once the 2.0 drops and DLC is live i will be starting a Wednesday night series like i did in the old days.

Therefore 2 series will be ran at the same time. Monday being a more relaxing get in and race (no practice required) while Wednesday will be the full blown testing/getting the most out of your car series.

Keep an eye out boys.

Yeah I kind of lost intrest in GT5 ever since F1 2011 came out, and the BF3 beta came out. I litteraly only got on for the series, and I struggled to motivate myself then. Hopefully this new DLC will add another 6 months to a year to the shelf life of the game.

The new series sounds good, can't wait to get in on that one!
 
I like the idea of g25/27 support, finally! 👍 Will be interesting to see how long it takes PD to get the DLC packs out after they've finished with the 2.0 drop. The $9.95 question is, will they charge for it and would it matter if they did?

I wouldn't blame them if they did charge us for it, but in a way, they kind of owe us. Kaz said he wanted 2 more years, does that not mean that any new stuff that comes out was planned for the game initially? And therefor making us pay for it is stupid?

If we get between 30-50 decent cars, and 5-10 decent tracks, then I'm happy to pay $20 or so.

V8s had 3 sessions today but 1 got cancelled due to tyre regulations or some crap, to my knowledge the only streams are on bigpond sport but they only do v8s, ch 7 do massive coverage from Saturday so u should get some support races then

Haha , what are you up to , giving security / police a hard time ?

I'm listening to the security stream now , few dudes getting busted doing burnouts and drags. Spewin I wont be able to watch the race live on Sunday so these streams wont be any use to me. :ouch:
 
Spec 2.0 sounds awesome!

I just hope they don't charge 20+ dollars for the tracks and cars DLC.
I'll still get it, but I just think that's a bit steep seeing as you can get the game itself now for $40.

As for a wednesday series, not sure if I'd be able to participate in that one. We shall see closer to whenever it starts, otherwise sign me up as a wildcard :)

In regards to the DLC packs; I'd be more than happy to pay for it. I don't mess around with anything else on the PS3...strictly GT for me.:D
I can't see PD asking the earth for DLC anyway. All payments are more or less an investment in future developements anyway.:)
I'm keen for another RM series Oni!!
I won't be online much for the next few days boys, my 'GT Room' is 'down for maintanance'.:lol: I mean the floor boards have been sanded (80grit was done by hand!:eek:) and the first layer of Polyurethane Gloss has been put down...talk about fumes!!:scared:

Are you a flag marshall??

I worked with a guy up here who does it. He got into it as his parents had done it for years, Gold Coast Champ cars and V8's at Willowbank.

So he's all of 18-19 when he starts and even gets to go to Melbourne to be a flag marshall at the F1.!!

This guy was as thick as 2 short planks and yet he's waving safety flags for Formula 1.

I started as a flag Marshall but I'm now a sector Marshall, aswell my parents met doing motorsport
