Just did a league race for F1 2011, got taken out twice, like properly taken out. Avoided several huge dives up the inside to save my own race, and had to listen to some idiot the whole way through the race who decided he'd like to talk to his mate and leave his mic un-muted. Makes me happy to be part of a league that's run well, with people who know how to drive.

What an epic race ! I started watching as soon as I got home at 7pm tonight and couldn't turn it off until I saw the finish , well worth staying up for !
In other news , I've been grinding my B spec guys in the Nurb 4 hour lots lately. In tonights race , one of the AI names was O. Chan. Howboutthat !

Tonight is the Sprint race format. For those that haven't done this in the series before it works like this.
2 races, 15 laps each. First race has qualifying as per usual. 2nd race is reverse grid based on the race results. There are no parade/warmup laps. Everyone starts on Sports mediums.
Tier 2 & 3 drivers, you are allowed to switch to Sports Softs on the end of lap 3.
Let me know ASAP if you cannot make it tonight.
BTW Mike you have your replacement teammate. Waynz. You guys going to be hard to beat in the team championship.

The start of race 2 was a little hectic, sorry if anyone got caught up on me.
Then I went deep into the sand trap at the last corner of lap 1... right in front of everyone, the shame oh the shame
Even though I'm much much slower in qualifying, I'm still having fun being a back marker in these races.

Race countdown starts, the lights go down and then track comes up with the start grid. My trusty two and half year old 50" Samsung plasma flickers momentarily and then crackles evilly before burning a two inch black line (with colour pixel detailing) from the top to bottom of the screen about a third of the way across like burning gun powder fuse:juuust as we take off for turn one...
As you can imagine we had words for the rest of the race.

Great race, I had fun too with little battle up the back, lots of fun trying to hold taital off for as long as I could. haha

Sounds like a great series guys, too bad us Americans cant race in it! I'll be starting one up over here in the winter. Looking forward to it!
