it's a 2+2 also...and with what I'm thinking(putting the Probe 2.5 in it, same size engine...) it would be 170 HP in that car...and it's not hard to switch the engine out since it's the same...

You think you've got a lot of cars? My friend has got about 7 cars at his house, and those are just ones that are fully built! He's got tons of parts lying around everywhere. He's even got cars which are filled up inside with bits of other cars. They are mostly Triumphs, though he has got a BMW, a Mini, and some Peugeot's

you haven't seen our parts collection in the basement...I'll take a pic when I get home from school...

And also the guy your taking about probably has some acres of land...we are on 1/4 acre here...

My dad has a BMW 330ci and a Triumph TR6

And if you were reading many other posts, you'd notice the topic of me being short has already been discussed over and over again...

BTW, post a pic of what you drive, if you have a car to drive...

I drive a bicycle, it does 0-20 in 3 minutes. Quarter mile in 1 minute 5 sharp and when I take off the Traction Control System it's a real beast!

Snoop your bike is slow...

Mine does 0-20 in about 10 secs if I really try...top speed is around 35 on flat and 50 on down hill. 20-0 is about 10 secs rear brake only(minimal skiddage), 6 secs front only(back tire in the air), and 5 secs both(when I can keep the back tire on the ground).

It's a '91 Giant Iguana 21 Speed. Rock Shox up front, oversized alloy frame, quick shift Shimano transmittion. To stop I got "V" brakes all around with Shimano brakes with oversized pads up front and regulars in the back. Rides on 195 Kenya(I think) tires front an back. The seat is a Trek VS(I think). It stands on a police style rear mounted kick stand. Front and rear wheels are balaced.

Miles so far this year: 370

Here's my bro's newest buy, a '89 Ford Probe GT. Fixed it up quite nicely, drives and runs better than the MX-6.

BTW, the plates are from the previous owner...

So all we really have to do is pay the DMV the standard fee to get the address and phone number for the previous owner, then call him up and ask him what the address of the people he just sold his car to is, then we'll know...right?

geez mazkid i can see why you got your name. both the mazda part and the kid part you look like your about 12 no offence or anything, geez all those mazdas. lets see my ma has a nissan quest and my dad an old maxima, i hope to get a 300zx and my dad soon wants to get a new nissan a maxima or altima maybe a 350z or he might go for a little bit older maxima. back in the day he had a 280z ohh i loved it!

hehe...yea NissanLover my dad had an '82 Nissan/Datsun Maxima with the 2.8 V6...5 speed....that thing was a cuiser. Fast too. We would literally drift out of our temple's parking lot when he picked us uf from sunday school.

Too bad the speedo only went to 85...I'm sure we had it well over 115.

yeah his is a 3.0 91 maxima gxe(ugh) it has 160hp but its fast, and the speedo goes to like 130 or so i think. the se verion has 190hp cause its dohc in stead if sohc

MazKid, are your neighbors in awe of your Mazdas?

Do they ever ask you why you don't buy brand new Mazdas? I guess because your dad's so skilled at fixing the things, a used Mazda is like getting a new one. He's like a warranty!

Hehe well actually...no one really talks to us about them...a nieghbor 2 houses down has a 626 that my dad fixes it.(they were the original owners of my bro's '87 626) Across the street from us(like strait across), they have a 626 and a Legacy wagon, the 626 doesn't sound good, but the guy never ever has asked my dad about it...

And I think that the reason we don't buy new Mazdas is because we just don't have the money. Also every "new" car that we get usually needs major work...each is like an experiment, we actually make them our cars. It's also something that's fun, we find the best parts we can, even find the elusive secret factory options.

It's like a project...

Yeah, but I assume your father gets a discount at his dealership - perhaps you could have a new WRX. ;) I know, I know - you're MazKid not SubKid. Work on it. :P Just kidding. `

hehe...well yes he gets discounts on parts, cars, labor is free(DUH!!!), and my bro can get cleaning supplies and, well, parts too...

A lot of the parts are from junkyards...we recycle!

Dude-You are totally wrong. We aren't rich at all. If you read though, I said that we buy them used, some not in driving condition, and fix them up. Our most expensive car is the MPV, which we bought in '97 in perfect condition, and it we $9,899 I think, but it's a 92 and it was a necessity. The other cars were cheap. The RX-7 was bought for $275 and then the new 13B for it was $1800 cause my dad's discounts. The MX-6 GT was bought for $300, then fixed up with only about $600 in parts. The 323 was bought from my uncle years ago(its our longest onwed car)for a little amount I'm sure, cause my dad found him a Protege. The Probe GT(my dad's) was bought from our nighbors for $1,000, and fixed up with about $800 in parts. My bro's Probe GT was bought for $400 I think, and is still getting fixed up. And the 626 was bought from another uncle for $200(it was sorta a gift to my bro when he was starting to drive)and I think my bro put in $400 into it.

Now keep in mind, this is over many years. We couldn't do this all at 1 time.
