So I hope I get it right this time...5:00 am EST is 11:00am here in Vienna, Austria

Since I am sitting at home with an awful cold and I am not gonna go to any parties or enjoy the Saturday nightlife in any other unresponsible manner, chances are very high that I'll make it tomorrow...;)

How am I gonna find the correct lobby and what cars(what PP) will be used tomorrow ?
The time should be right. To find the correct lobby, go to multiplayer, lobby & look for room with friends near the top of the screen (if you're a friend of @Benny44). Hope to see you there.

PP should be between 350 & 400. Hope @Benny44 posts the list today.

might not make it this week! girlfriend is in the process of moving in and hearing me blow the Alpine whistlehorn at 5am is probably not going to work lmao. I’ll see if I can’t make some of the later ones either way!

@PapaGnr @Batschisane52 we can go with what Papa suggested- Watkins Glen, Goodwood and Tokyo short. Then Laguna Seca. But instead of having one bigger race I'm thinking of going with 2 sort of warm ups and then two medium length ones. The warm up races can be Watkins Glen (3 laps) and Goodwood (2 laps) at 350pp. Then the last two will he the same as last week - 250hp limit, 3000 lbs limit.

I'm already working something out for next week, it's going to be a bit different, but not huge changes 😀

Thanks everyone. I think I really needed some rest. Doing much better.

Is anyone up for some Wednesday evening racing? I've always wanted to do an evening series, mostly because that's when the majority are on. I wouldn't be on mic, but I will be online. A couple of my real life buddies and I will be on.

Here's what I was thinking - doing some PP races as per usual, maybe 300, 350 and 400. And then doing a muscle car main event - Ford v Chevy v Dodge. So, no Eckert's custom, or Tesla or the like. Pre-2000. Minimum weight of 3400 should easily fit in most. Which also rules out the crazy Cobra. Half hour, dragon trail, and yes - comfort tires.

All the settings will be fairly usual, with maybe a tweak to the fuel consumption down to 15x instead of 25x, since these guys are notoriously thirsty. Dragon Trail Gardens circuit seems fun for these. Some nice twisties combined with a couple straights. Haven't worked out the pp yet, or HP limit. We could just say 450 hp? Not sure, I haven't tested either yet.

Let me know what you guys think! I believe I'll be on around 7 my time, which is 6 EST. I have to double check that though

If i get it right, that would be around Midnight here in Central Europe...so I guess normally, if I have to work on Thursday, I won't be able to make it...but I like the muscle car idea
Maybe we can use them in 1 of the Sunday events?

i will have to clear it with the “bingewatch deep space nine during every non-work moment” committee but I’d love to join, certainly the earlier races are doable.

looking through my cars it’s clear I’ve done too much “weight reduction” work! But I have an 89 vette that would work, without any engine upgrades it maxed out at 426hp… * just ran some laps at 400hp, while I’d be cared to run this thing at 450hp it would be a good top limit

Yeah, I'm kinda in the same boat. Too much slimming my cars. Most show up in the used car mart, but not at present. I might have to use Dodge or Plymouth. Some testing is needed.

Edit: Well, it's gonna be a veerrrry interesting race. I just tried a time trial & custom race, talk about slippin-n-slidin.

Thanks for the races tonight guys @permaculture and @PapaGnr. As Papa said, that last race was.....interesting 😀 . Goodwood was ok, and in Catalunya I made a couple mistakes leading to bumping Papa and then Perma. Have to check the replay and send it to the race stewards😛

Sunday should be good. I think one thing we learned tonight, at least I did, is that the shorter tracks are better for these lower powered cars and a small field. We'll do the muscle car race to end things, but for the other races maybe we could do as suggested and try a Rallycross event. If anyone has a favorite rallycross track, let me know. Otherwise there's a really short one, I just can't remember where it is. Maybe Sardegna?

I haven't tested rally, but maybe we should increase the pp for it? Not sure if some of these lower pp cars could get through the mud!

Let's do that in endurance form as well - 15 minutes. Other than that here's something different - 1 lap around Special stage route X, 300pp. Just for some fun. See how fast we can get these low pp cars as a breather between the two longer races.

If time allows, we could do the last race as a simulated 24 hour. If my math is right, 30x time would be 1 minute = 2 seconds. So 60 minutes = 120 seconds (2 min). 2 minutes x 24 = 48 minutes. If my math is right.

Might be fun, unless some feel it's too long? Let me know!

aside from having to make 90 degree turns, the old roadster had no trouble with the rain! i was wondering if it had something to do with the way the wheels are set, but i dont think i hydroplaned once! and upon review - i may have been at fault for our catalan collision! was focused on trying to catch papa / not lose the rear and lost track of where you were. great races as always... will see about sunday, hopefully can make it out

There's only 1 true Rally Cross track & that's at Catalunya. 2 shortish dirt tracks are Colorado Springs & Sardegna Windmills. I've raced my Jeep at them & it should be fun with any car.

The rest of your suggestions @Benny44 sound pretty good. 👍 Maybe 1 day we can do a mini Indy at Northern Isles.

Guess I will be in tomorrow...what PP are we aiming for in the muscle car race ?

Other races will be PP350-400 again ?
No pp, it's just restriction of minimum 3400 lbs, 450 hp and pre 2000. Chevy, Dodge or Ford (muscle cars!). With the hp and weight restrictions, pp should work itself out.

One note - REMEMBER TO PUT A
TRANSMISSION IN YOUR MUSCLE CAR!!!

Most all of these cars are limited to not much over 100mph. It's going to be a longer race, so you don't want to be hitting the rev limiter every 30 seconds over 48 minutes.

Gt7 is just updating for me, but I'll go on and try those tracks you mentioned for the rallycross @PapaGnr . And yes to the mini Indy! That would be a blast

3400lbs translate to 1542kg

When you talk about hp, do you talk about hp or bhp ?

If it is hp, 450hp would be 335.5 kw
If it is bhp, 450 would be 340kw

sorry i missed out today - will be free the next couple of sundays though! and i keep intending to set up some sort of weekly lobby, i'll post in here i set something up later this week.
We had some interesting races, thanks to @Benny44  & we missed your presence. Looking forward to you hosting & what you'll come up with. ;)

Got to watch the replays & later share some pics of the shenanigans.

I didn't save any replays! Oops. And that would be great @permaculture ! We did indeed miss you this morning. I generated a little interest on Ressit a few weeks ago, but nothing has come of it yet. I may post some pics from the past few weeks on there and try to get interest that way.

@Batschisane52 I didn't have the HP limit set, and by the time I did, you had left the lobby to get another car. Otherwise it would have shown you. Sorry about that

No Problem...had troubles anyway to find a classic muscle car that could fit the weight regulations...I have around 30 of them (including Pontiacs GTOs and Firebirds and one Superbird)in my garage for my coustom race grids, but pretty much all of them have full weight reduction...the Ferrari-Mustang was the only one left with stock weight...but please set the HP limit next time, that'll make it much easier for us continental europeans...

Anyway, I had fun, and I will join in again whenever it is possible!

By the way: why only Ford-Dodge-Chevy?(and no Pontiacs?)

I'm like you coz most of my eligible cars have already been slimmed down but you could have used a Firebird or GTO. Over here in the Americas the big 3 are Ford-Dodge-Chevy. Pontiac is no more so we kind of forget them, but my first real car was a '67 Firebird 400 4speed, that I bought new.

do you have any sweet-spot HP/weights? I was thinking decade specific + 3 weight classes (maybe like 1800lb / 2300 / 2800, numbers that align easily with metric), but I’ll have to dig in to see what HP limits work.

I'm open to anything. Benny had us do a lap of the X-track with 300 PP. Excruciatingly sssllllooooowwwww, but fun nonetheless.

Btw, I'm going to share the replays.
