Wow. You guys live in the same house or what.
Never heard of synchorising toileting before lol.

The world's getting busier, time calls for increasing efficiency. đź‘Ť

That was an awesome race, I got punted off, but the guy stayed back and we had some really nice tandem drifts going. We were held back alot, so we weren't interfering either which was nice.

Looking forward to this one as it opens up a whole bunch of cars we haven't raced in ages... of course most of them won't be competitive, but at least they will be fun to drive.

I'm sure Timo will be polishing his NSX as we speak :)

Not many doing this race at the moment? Only GTPer I saw was turbolag and he pulled over at the start.

I'm actually racing full now, I'm trying out the Viper Tuned. I made the tune up in like 30 seconds so don't expect much this race.

NSX & f430 will be the first car's to try for me. ..zabeu (+others :)), are you ready? ;) đź‘Ť

I'll finally get to try out those NSX tunes you sent me months ago... hopefully the Spec III physics change have tamed it enough for me to cope with it đź‘Ť

This event creates MUCH closer racing up front.

If noone is being held back by the RBE, then the parts where cars and drivers are faster than others can finally be taken advantage of. Brilliant event, this!

They won't be worth much anymore... :( ...too bad, I really had a great tune for Spec I đź‘Ť

Good grief! No RBE and 650pp? I must be dreaming... :)

Really wish I hadn't looked at this now as I can't play until tonight. :ill:

See you all later. đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

When no one was around, and I could judge on splits alone, it seems I average 1sec slower/lap in the Z06/Tuned against VIPERGTSR01 in his GTR. And compared to a standard Corvette? The GTR is fast, but no where near that fast.

Unfortunately the one race I entered was put to an early end at turn 1 when someone decided he'd try a dangerous re-entry. I later got held up by a not so well driven GTR is was blocking on straights and everything, very illegal.

If you find one that works on Spec III for mere mortals you know where to send it ;)

I think we'll see the re-appearance of a lot of 4WD stuff (R8/Sti/WRX/GTR) as people will struggle with lack of grip on S2's after months of racing on R1/2/3's. Personally, I'm looking forward to trying out the RX7... such a sweet handling car.... mmmmmm, slidey ;) Mr Volcano and I had some good races a while back running c.550PP and N3's, so it could be good with 650PP and S2's.

I've been using the Evo X Tuned, coming a consistant second this morning, always behind a GTR - and then scrapping with a GTR for third.

Seems the GTR's the fastest car at the moment. Slow through sector 1 & part of 2, but more than makes up for it on the long straights.

Already checked the R8 out, maxes out at 646/5

Yeah problem with such a high PP (High PP IMO) on S tyres is that a huge amount of cars can't reach 650PP, I originally was going to try the Audi R8 but because it wont make 650 I decided not too.

It appears so far a good tuned R35 GTR and tuned Evo X are the leaders of this race.

My fastest lap so far is 2'08.046 (wow exactly 1 tenth, in the GTR), these times will drop soon and fast.

I have hardly tuned the GTR yet and I don't think I will, might go onto another car.

Just been racing this event under my tagged ID as TORC_OldTimer. Thanks to you guys for some good racing and the company. I would like to bore you with a couple of observations though:
This is an all-comers race so there is going to be quite a bit of variation between the cars and where they will perform best and that is without taking into account the variation in driver skills. I would ask for a little patience as this is a 5 lap race and certainly doesn't need to be won on the first lap. I am a dedicated mid packer so I will allow faster racers to pass on safe sections as I did several times tonight. Please be a little patient and leave room to allow for the unexpected.
I never realised just how much difference the absence of RBE would make. This race is going to be very challenging for everyone and was very enjoyable for me tonight. It's the first time I have consistently run lap times similar to my free run times. The field was spread well and truly after the first lap and the race is very different to anything I have tried previously. Mistakes here can be very costly.
The difficulty of this event is going to discourage the rammers because they will not have the RBE to help them catch the field and wreak havoc. After a couple of hours racing tonight I can honestly say I wasn't deliberately punted once. That is pretty much an entry for the Guiness Book of records for me. Quitting hosts may be an occasional problem (I had one tonight) so we will have to wait and see.
If we want PD to make 'RBE free' races we need to show wholehearted support for this event. To that end, I would encourage as many players as possible to run in this event and as often as possible.

Cheers, OT

No worries, without any RBE you'll see me here for SURE!!!!!!!!! đź‘Ť Til tonight!!! still working :(

I can bet my mortgage PD will be looking at this event with more interest than before.
The top drivers may even lap someone for the 1st time if the back runners are giving it their all.

Can't wait for tonight! Putting it all together finally.

- tune in peace in free run, testing and exiting as you please then
- race with exactly the same handling you set up
- have no artificial changes made to your cars handling during the whole race
- making your (and others) mistakes count for real

Now THAT's real driving simulator gone online.

đź‘Ť

(next step: have all pro events without RBE)
