Its good they put extra SUV's in, almost every make has one, you can't forget them anymore. They better put the VW Touareg V10, MB G55 AMG and BMW X5 Le Mans in aswell

Does ownership of the Japanese version preclude me from purchasing the PAL version? I think not.
Prediction: online for North American release.
Racing numbers have only been seen on the official American site. Seems that the boys across the Atlantic might be in for a good time.

Does this above mean that the sense of speed will be better, the physics will be more advanced, and the game will look the sharpest?

Shame they haven't given us PAL users (or anyone for that matter) the option to save the game during pit-stops. I'd love to own the Bentley and Audi racers that you win for completing the 2 LeMans enduros, but i don't have 24hrs spare to play GT4 and i'm not going to leave it on overnight or for weeks on end whilst i pause the game and get on with the rest of my life. I would prefere to play the race myself (perhaps in 1 hour segments) rather than let B-spec take over, but it would seem that i'll have no choice!
How much can you speed-up time by in B-spec?

I think it just means that the PAL version will be slightly better resolution - PAL utilises more horizontal lines than NTSC does. NTSC does, however, update the picture 60 times a second to the PAL's 50 times a second, so NTSC wins on smoothness.
aye.....make all versions the same and that way when it's out it's OUT. No more of this "well I think they done dicking around now so I think we may see it in a few months....oh wait, no I guess not. their gunna take out some stuff so they can finish.....um nevermind, they decided to put 12 cars into the pal version and not the us but the US will get it a week before or so maybe, if it comes out before PAL at all.........

I have an idea that US will get a enhanced EU version with some of the US cars shown past month in Detriot, as well as wider choice of US historic models. Reworked visuals on menus as PAL, native speaker for history of the car (still wondering about the work done in that area for PAL), some changes in music and word "colour" changed to "color".

I doubt about online. It is too good selling point for a standalone release worldwide in form of "GTOnline" game, probably idential to all three territoiries.

I believe everyone in Japan has one of those hard disks with their PS2, right? Maybe the new cars included in this PAL version will be available as downloadable content in Japan... I think mr GT4 would get lynched in Tokyo if he wouldn't do that...

In the Japanese/Asian version you can buy the The Audi R8 and Speed 8 but they cost allot.

True, however it's a very small difference which very few can notice.TheCracker
Lesser updates per second means extra time for the CPU/GPU to do stuff, which is why PAL games can have better drawing distance, more polygons drawn and in some case, even higher poly resolution on the models/world.
Converting from NTSC to PAL is easier than the other way around and it's great to hear that Polyphony will take advantage of that.

This is starting to bother me, A game that we we're originally supposed to get just weeks after a japaneese launch hasnt even been mentioned for 2-3 months (Im happy pal finally gets the game second though )

Thats good news that we PAL pals have a game with more drawing distance etc. and now with those really nice backgrounds in GT4 it's going to be great.
37days till it hit the shelves so I'm curious what will happen in those days to come...

The American version better be fricken sweet. We haven't gotten prologue, and barely any demo's, unless we all want to mod our PS2 and read languages that are unreadable to anyone who doesn't know them. Plus, we don't even have a confirmed release date yet. C'mon PD, give us something!!!!
