A couple of replies.
#1, agreed, there's a piece of black licorice in every bag and the 1978 King Cobra pictured sure fits that bill. I'm not much of a fan of those years, but I have seen some sweet looking custom jobs.
#2, The Can-Am series. I've heard of it, I've probably watched some of their racing on tv, but other than that I can't say much. As for the Trans-Am series, they run on road courses and street courses, so that seemed like a logical fit for Gran Turismo to me. Add to that the lineup of cars racing in the series, which was won by a Jaguar last season. The game already has Mustangs, Corvettes and Camaros, Vipers, even the Panoz Esperante. I'm not sure if GT4 has the Jaguar XKR or not and I'm not sure what a QVale Mangusto is, but they run in the Trans-Am series as well. Porsche and Audi both have history in the series, as well as the Mercury Capri that has a lot of fans on this board. A sister series to the Toyota Atlantic and Formula BMW series', I just feel that it would be a more logical decision to add a racing series like this to go along with the JGTC cars than to have 40 different Skylines, not to mention the Evo's. They could probably add the Can-Am series as well and still have at least 20 Skylines.
I like to race. The best thing about GT3 to me is the Formula Series. It's the most competitive racing in the game. You have to think about pit stategy and tire wear and you have to run good consistent laps. To me, 3 laps is a qualifying run, 5 laps is getting to know the track a little better and seeing how the gearing fits, 10 laps is a good practice run. Yesterday, I ran the 27 lap race at Grand Valley and the 33 lap race at Laguna Seca twice each. I just like those races. I like the JGTC group as well and they seem very similar to the Trans-Am cars. I can imagine these cars running Tokyo and SSR11, or the new NY track, but I can't drive them and I think that's a shame when most of the cars are already in the game, just in a different form. I believe it wouldn't take much changing to the game to include this. I know this topic isn't about what I want to see in the game and I'm sorry for being off topic, but I lost track of what this thread was about after about 10 pages.

still 20 skylines and evo's? I like the cars but I think 5 each would be enough.
Also it is a Japanese game so its normal they put the complete JGTC in.

you OBVIOUSLY copied that link without actually going to the site and reading it. If you had, you would realise that it does not even mention anything on the entire SCEE site about 2 player garage battles. So let me re-iterate.... there will be NO 2P garage battles in PAL GT4

I personally dont care about 2 player garage battles. Y? nobody I know Is into GT as much as I am so when or if they race against me in GT4 they are going to want to use the cars in my garage.

Is there an official document any one has seen that mentions 2player garage battles?
That was my fav. thing in GT3 I'm sad I will miss out on it in 4

agreed - that was my fave thing in GT1,2 & 3 - obviously the AI poses no challenge at all & the only thing that gave the game longevity was the ability to race custom tuned cars against your mates at a level way beyond AI - sadly it will not be in GT4 despite all our plea's on this forum.
It seems that PD do not respond to our desires.........
MOre sadly, the complete cruelty of the troll owner of this thread to deliberately mislead the entire GT community (which used to be granturismo.com and is now gtplanet) on something so critical to soooooo many GT enthusiasts!!! 👎

The SCEE press release says 10 cars. But amar212 reveals 12+2 of them. If amar212 writes it, you can be quite sure it will be confirmed later on or at last in the game. Sleep on your 2 ears that you will be able to drive garage cars in 2P mode.

i hate that too. you want to have a good race in identical cars against some one who says they are good and have the game but for some strange reson can remember what their progress is. then you start the race and they crash and do a lap time slower than my 10 yr old sister(who is actually pretty good).
the cant like GT to much if they cant recall if they have X car or have done this race. how could they do any of the game if they sucked so much? i really need online to be on GT4 or i might die from bordem, after iv done the game 7 times.

yeap, I am aware of that, I was a member on kenji's graturismo.com forum from the GT1 days. I previewed GT2 & 3 on that forum thru skunkwerx brilliant efforts on both releases. In those days graturismo.com was THE GT site for the world. Sadly, that site died and we found the GTPlanet forum which has grown to become THE GT site for the world much in the same way that Kenji's site used to be before he sold the domain name.

52 Tracks seems a lot but they had to put more tracks in, more special tracks or historical tracks. and always normal and reverse option.
