How's the current AI in GT Sport anyways? If the AI are still rolling roadblocks, I don't see what GT League is going to do for us.

The AI in GTS are pretty solid. At max difficulty they do seem to give you/me a challenge, and seem to be more reactive in their driving style, i.e. they often defend when being overtaken, and are generally more aggressive, plus they seem to be more prone to mistakes like they used to a la GT2/GT3 for example.

There's still room for improvement, but they're much better than what they were in 6 and 5.

I'm delighted to see the 2016 Audi R18 coming to GTS. I hope they manage to do a better job on the sound than they have on the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP - That sounds horrendous and a huge step backwards.

Lol, they're literally just rehashing the same game for 20 years. It's like I said, "sport" was a cover for simply not having much of a complete game ready for a close release date. Otherwise why would they now go against this so called new direction in the franchise?

Anyway it seams like a nice update. But I'm curious if these models have been built up from scratch or upgraded from GT5/6.

Valid point this.

I like how people are trying to act like the consumers complaining is why we are getting more single player campaign stuff. Like in a month PD, of all companies, is going to whip up something like this b/c consumers said they wanted it.

Cant wait for the update AND the next round of complaining. Im excited to see the content of each haha

Good job PD. I was gutted when I found out this wasn't the same model as the earlier GT's I remember. I had never tried online racing and it never interested me until it was the only thing I could do on the game. Although this will be fun, I am now hooked on the online aspect! I can't imagine going back to racing bots over the competitiveness and unpredictability of racing real people.
Will be a great update though, with more good stuff to come by the sounds of it.

It varies. I've seen some great racing at Yamagiwa from the AI, with one car running wide on that long left thanks to jostling for position with another.

But their spatial awareness hovers around zero on Blue Moon Bay in Gr.1, even at the hardest difficulty. They just don't seem to understand ovals.

People have been complaining about the single player mode for a lot longer than a month.

Looks like a reskin of GT5 campaign mode thank god you don't need to gold them endurance races for platinum lol

Anyway hopefully that means every old GT5 track is coming back?

To add to the Peugeot criticism, the diesel LMPs already in GTS have very high redlines for some reason. Hope this doesn't happen to the R18 too.

and you still think PD did it b/c people complained? This is 2017 they did it for the extra money to win over the people that wouldnt buy the game without it

Which is kind of the same thing, really (or at least is in some cases).

People that said they wouldn't buy it because the lack of a proper offline campaign now will see one added. One less reason for them to not buy it.

Provided you can switch boost off like you can in create race mode. It makes quite the difference with the AI.

How does this work? I was setting up a custom race for the first time last night and had no idea what the 'boost' option does. So I just left it on the default settings.

Others already have it i'm on my way only need 3 of the Sport mode ones

Hehe, 'only'. Same here, but with nearly 100 races and only 2 poles and 3 wins, it's gonna take me a while... certainly won't be done by the 27th!

It gives you a big speed boost the further back you start which allows you to fly past the AI cars.
