Its ALOT more fun than it looks . If the physics are good. Realistic track surface and realistic cars and weather and damage.

As my signature states, I and a couple of other guys have started a site and forum which will host a GTR2 league for your average racers, not your bionic michael schumachers. Please take a look and hopefully we can get some guys over there. We currently have 3 racers. The league is likely to host feature races with different cars each week, from different classes. We will also try and use certain mods such as changeable rain and other tracks.

i did a sloppy job at the end of turn 13 and the car begins to oversteer. i try to counter this with moderate torque steer.

that idea went to hell because i applied too much throttle. now im flying past the 100m marker

locked up slamming into the 50m marker

now i take flight off of a short track rumble strip

and land nose first. this causes a right-front puncture but this shouldn't be a big problem since 4th is about 35 seconds behind. i can hobble the car across the checkered but as soon as i go to start the stalled motor... the thing wont ignite! i try and try for 30 seconds straight but no dice.

i ended up getting a DNF but that was the most intense PC sim experience ive had thus far.

I've just re-installed P&G and am having fun it. Driving a Lotus Cortina is a laugh.

I'm going to do the same, when i can work out how to do it - i've recently joined the NoGripRacing forum to download some different circuits for GTR2 and tried to find a livery painting tutorial but to no avail

Karlos of NoGrip made a 5-part skinning guide. It says in the titles using FLOSS (whatever that is...), but it mainly uses the GIMP.

It was a 38 lap race at Zhuhai in either the Porsche Bi-Turbo or the Seat Toledo GT. I started 8th and finished 3rd

I raced in the Gamers Crib league D on Sunday night. Started 5th finished 4th over 46 laps at Valencia.
They said that they might have a video of it up soon so ill post that when and if I can

This week's NoGrip league race didn't exactly go according to plan. I'll let me explain...

I had intended to go for a 0 stop. Fuel was fine, and so were the tyres, or so I thought...

I was driving a lonely race for the most part. Folk in front were pulling away, and folk behind were dropping back. Sidey came back to say hello, but he just pulled away again. Karlos then came back to see me, and drove about in front of me, just far enough in front that I was unable to do anything about him. He went off and came back on behind me, and was gaining and getting ready to pass me, when he speared off on an entirely different tangent. It seems that I lagged. :-( Sorry about that, Karlos. (Let me know if there were any other instances of lag, please)

Something must have went wrong in my calculations, and by lap 11 I noticed that my meds were not going to go the distance. As I was fuelled to the end, I decided to drive smoothly (I'm smooth anyway, so that bit was quite difficult...) and see how it went. It did all go fine, and I was up in 4th at one point as others stopped, but by lap 25 it felt like I was driving on ice and I decided to stop.

I came out in 13th behind Data and got past him when Sidey lapped us.

I was then chasing Karlos again, but wasn't going to catch him. However, he spun off on the last lap, and I got past but, even though my lag wasn't deliberate, it was still my fault, so I let him back through before the line.

(I only gave him it back 'cos it was for 11th.... If we'd been higher up, he'd have had no chance of getting it back.... :-P )

I'm really struggling at Kyalami I cant get a setup that suits. I've tried loads.
