pCARS Patch Notes - 1.4

80€? whaa, a limited edition or something? payed about 35€ for my copy and its worth it.. buuuut the car selection does not arouse me at all, dont know why and the tracks seems a bit worse that ac/Iracing and the lobby sorting is a joke and I get heavy stuttering online. But all in all its the best damn car game to date :P

patch does nothing for wheels on ps4.. just fake content. Nothing changed, all the problems are still there. what the

edit: also set-ups still randmly disapper.. thanks SMS.

Every day i think i spent 80€ for this broken game, plus the ps4, plus the wheel i get mad..
I understand you are frustrated, but that doesn't then mean you get to ignore the AUP In particular the swear filter.

No, I am not a member. I do not see the need to join another forum just to tell them they got it wrong. I do believe SMS staff do visit here though.
They got their hands full with the official forum now, they don't even post much on the WMD forum anymore. I'm sure they don't have time to visit this forum.

If you want something improved, register there and provide detailed reports, it helps sometimes. But anyway, I bet you know better :)

So am i the only one that thinks the wheel feels different now? Placebo? Certainly didnt seem like it the 3 races i managed!

still waiting to get the game on but if you stop the car, move the wheel to full lock, accelerate slowly and the wheel still flies back to centre then it sounds like the centre spring hasn't changed at all.

Sorry for asking something that is no doubt in this thread somewhere, but when is the X1 getting 1.4?

End of next week then, hopefully :D

ta Mikey 👍
No problems Paul. He said something about it being the PS4 players' turn to receive it before us this time. If it doesn't turn up maybe he can play us one of his self-penned songs.

Got a spare 25 mins before Coronation Street comes back on (living the high life in my 30's) Will check it out just now! But when racing normally the spring is not putting force on me to return back to centre.

that could just be a FFB setting though, some sliders give the feel of the rear end snapping into place through the wheel. the stationary test is probably the best way to know for sure.

Yeah the wheel is flying back to centre even without moving! :( God dam SMS! Bloody hopeless!

I'm just curious, all those Fanatec/T300 users, did this patch actually fix whatever issues you guys were having?

I've plugged in my Fanatec GT2 for the first time, & the wheel is working, YAY! However, my pedals are not working, at all.

:banghead:

Hallo Bleeder
So if i stop the car and than i turn the wheel full left or right , put the gear in first start to drive it should go slowly to his centre-point .....correctly ?

This hurt my brain. You want them to know about these issues, but instead of telling them about the issues you just whisper it in a corner on the other side of the building and hope they hear you, because you can't be bothered to walk over and tell them? Completely logical.

East Coast U.S.A reporting that the patch is LIVE! :)

I was under the impression that the PC version also has changed FFB... So I deleted the Jack Spade tweaker files from my profile folder and reset the controller settings in game (testing with T500).

Using default settings it was clipping pretty much every corner despite feeling relatively light. It felt like the problem was with the game settings being amplified then reduced, not my wheel being overloaded. I will get round to figuring out what to change at some point, but right now AC and the newly improved RaceRoom are way more fun. (Sigh)

yeah. I think it was @GTAndy36 who pointed this out. previously if you tried this the wheel would spin left and right unrealistically, Not sure about now. will find out soon

still good thst it's gone though. i've left mine on 20. can't see too much of a problem, even 30 is not too bad, but any higher and it comes back. looks a lot more apparent after seeing the game without any ghosts. it seems like the devs must be happy with it no more than 20 as that's the new default look for the game. slightly surprised they didn't leave it as we've all been used to and gave us the option to lower it, but they've done it for us. definite improvement
I still think it's poor for a game to have to introduce a SLIDER to adjust your game, I am on 0 and still getting ghosting on the AI only, I am glad I can play this game without straining my eyes but come on if your a normal player who doesn't read forums like this you would be so disappointed.

I suppose we can at least say that any new player who is connected to the internet will end up having a patched game and may not ever notice any ghosting at the default 20 and therefore will miss out on all the ghostbusting chatter, but of course, as is normal, there isn't even an in game explanation of what this slider does.

I can't see anyone cranking it up high as the slightly reduced jaggies don't mask the extreme blur. they could easily have gone with an 'off/min/med/max' option instead of a slider.

Can I remind everyone posting in here that the AUP is not optional and you all agreed to follow it when you joined.

That includes the use of good basic grammar, in particular the use of capital letters.
Aup? What is that? Have I said something wrong please?

I would rather use better grammar at the expense of capital letters, as my phone is set up to not put them at the start of sentences every time. like this. or this. I could enable this, of course.

The AUP requires both and doesn't make allowances for the device your using. I also post from time to time on my phone and appreciate it can be more time consuming, but the AUP still applies.

ok I'll take a look at my settings. although having to press SHIFT on my laptop keyboard all the time is going to take some getting used to haha

EDIT: testing. Testing. Testing.
Guess that worked.

Just tested the centre spring situation by parking up, rotating wheel to full lock then slowly driving away and I must say it does seem a lot less severe now. Settles back to straight very quickly now. Perhaps this is the fix? Certainly feels like an improvement.
