pCARS Patch Notes - 1.4

Nothing :boggled: Still blurry around me , still Raster forming in front of the car (this you can see very good at CadwellPark circuit ).
For the diep-freezes and crashes i have to play a bit longer .

I'm just curious, all those Fanatec/T300 users, did this patch actually fix whatever issues you guys were having? Doesn't affect me in any way but just out of curiosity I'd like to know.

Did you reboot your system after the update ?

People on the official forums are reporting the center spring is still active..

It is recommended that you install the patch, start the game, exit the game, then restart the ps4 system (not rest mode) then start the game screenshot your global wheel/FFB/control settings, then reset all settings to default and re-calibrate the wheel. Look through the new default settings - put yours back in (or try the new defaults) then go and turn soft steering dampening off (soft steering dampening is still bugged and turns back on each reboot)

Still not sure if that even fixes it, wont be able to try myself till very late tonight... either way it does not sound like the FFB issues are all fixed.

Problem #2

Random Wheel Clipping is still there. (Wheel buzzes and white line under yellow FFB line in Telemetry goes wild).
Season 6 Historic GT5 Pan-Euro-Cup Round 2 at Catalunya. In Practice the wheel was clipping very badly. I did nothing, made no adjustments, nothing. I drove (putting up with it) until end of session. I then went straight to Qualifying - no more clipping.

Just like before the update - random. Better put this on the "To Do" list for 1.5 SMS ;-)

They fixed it! Wooooooooooooooooooooooo

Feels so weird now

Follow Spitfires post! Defo gone for me!
that's great news. only had a quick mess around with the pad earlier (first time using the pad, no idea which control scheme is default, actually handled okay) but I'm down for detailed wheel testing later.

annoying this is still in.

Yep defo fixed for me im finding im over turning because i dont need to put as much effort in, Also the force feedback is through the roof! Taking a nudge off the AI and the steering wheel is ripping out of my hands!

Congrats! What am i doing wrong then? I followed the instructions to the letter.

When you recalibrate was it slightly different?

On the 90° calibration it returned to centre slower than it did before. Can't seem to feel any difference on track, does yours spring to the centre when accelerating slowly at full lock from standstill?

PC, G27 user here. I am playing the game for the first time after installing the patch and the wheel seems to feel a bit heavier now while driving. The FFB however is okay, at least as good as before. Is this part of the patch or has anyone here experienced something similar? Not sure if this is supposed to be like that. Recalibrating the wheel before getting into the cockpit worked fine, however.

Mine flew back the same, Was the numbers not a bit insane and im sure the graphics were ever so slightly different? Or the very first instruction was different?

Missus has came in and took over the TV for the next 3 hours :scared:

Force Feedback Problem (see my first post)

Problem #1 still there except it is random now. Season 6 3/3 Watkins Glen US Super Car Challenge CTR3.

Started the practice session, left pits and no Force Feedback. Zero, ziltch, nuthin'. Unplugged USB to re-boot wheel, took game off pause and the FF is back BUT the random Clipping is here. (see my post Problem #2)

Note to SMS: I am not very impressed with the update so far. It would appear a lot of the wheel issues are far from being resolved. I can't wait until the Fanatec owners start to try theirs (I'm not game to plug mine back in)

SMS please listen very carefully. Consoles (especially PlayStations) are very robust and there is only version of each one and there are millions of them literally all the same. Game developers only have the basic architecture to deal with and generally get it pretty right. Already you have seen PS4 sales of your game outstrip every other platform combined. You guys seem to be struggling a bit. I really think you need to get a handle on the PS very quickly or you are going to jeopardise future sales and alienate current customers. Having basic peripherals (controllers, wheels etc) work is a no brainer, as far as being mandatory goes.

The reason why people (like me) buy PSs is that the software and hardware just works. An occasional hiccup is fine but all the stuff just works all the time. Yours doesn't. You need to address this very quickly.

Before anyone says "Give 'em some time" we had 4 delays before release and the last was because the game was 99.9% ready and needed some polishing!

Hope you are mimicking all of this on the official forums. That's where all the bug reports and observations should go, if you want your voice heard

No, I am not a member. I do not see the need to join another forum just to tell them they got it wrong. I do believe SMS staff do visit here though.

[ENGLISH]# REMARK No.2: The steering wheel must ALWAYS be connected to the console before starting the game.
Furthermore, NEVER disconnect and reconnect the USB plug of the wheel when your game is launched and opened
. This can be done only when the game is completely exited!
For this, press the PS button for 2 seconds and select Close Application then Ok.
This is not unlike my situation on PC with my DFGT. Every time I boot up the PC or wake it up from slumber, I must unplug the DFGT and replug.

That is worth a laugh...
While I am aware of what TM said about that, since I started Project Cars, I must have done that (unplugging and re-plugging the T500RS while in-game) more than 500 times, because that was the only option I had. I even bought a USB extension cable, which made it possible to do that without having to get out of my seat 500 times ...:banghead:
I am pretty relieved the patch brought an end to that...

patch does nothing for wheels on ps4.. just fake content. Nothing changed, all the problems are still there. what the

edit: also set-ups still randmly disapper.. thanks SMS.

Every day i think i spent 80€ for this broken game, plus the ps4, plus the wheel i get mad..
