pCARS Patch Notes - 1.4

No FFB issues here, nor did I recalibrate.
Of course, I 'm only on PS4...
it improved?

i'm on ps4 too. Now i'm using a 540^ degree set-up but i would like to move to 900^ cause sometimes doesn't feel really good. I think i will start the game, put wheel on default. restart, install the patch and do a new calibration on 900 and see how it works with jack spades settings.

great.. a good patch then..
This is what Stephen Viljoen replied:
We identified another situation in which this happens, unfortunately too late for this patch. So, yes the patch does fix some instances that would cause this to happen, but not all. We'll keep at it.

what about wheel setting itself? recalibration needed for sure
I re calibrated wheel and pedals just to make sure, FFB is improved here i can feel the bumps and kerbs a lot better now.

PS4:

- AI still gaining places if in pit on final lap. To be fair, this issue is not addressed in patch notes. Hopefully fixed in 1.5. Putting my career mode back on hold. :indiff:

- Ghosting now fully implemented! Viewed replay after career race and all the AI car images stayed on grid positions as my car drove through them. Replay continued with my car in full display and AI cars invisible but I can clearly hear the action (crashes, tyre squeal, etc) around me. Complete lap and AI car images still on starting grid.... :banghead:

It feels like it has improved yes, my impression is that I feel more of the kerbs etc.. It seems a bit heavier on some cars, but that may be just a thought...
And my wheel is like it should be, no weird moves at all...
I calibrated mine on 900° since I started PCars, feels perfect.
Jack Spades settings are still there, nothing changed.

i had to put a ffb setting up to 140 to feel kers in each car. hope it's better now.

But I read about a Audi A1 been added ? No sign of it here...

The car or at least it's livery file have been added to the PC version but the car isn't unlocked for anyone yet. My guess would be they're at least waiting for the Xbox One patch to go live first so everyone gets access at the same time, or they may have other plans entirely.

Same here, before i had to up the Fz scale to 130-140 also, but now it seems there is some vibration on default. It's subtle (like it is in real life), but at least it's there now.

Why would you pit on the final lap? Mandatory pit stops or something?

last week i had 5 laps in a ferrari 458 italia in Castelletto, really pushing up to 250kmh... i can guarantee is not that subtle :) ... however force feedback is nowhere near reality in general and neither are physics... in fact sometimes i smile when i read some comments..

What wheel do you use Mister? On the T300 the kerbs feel strong at 70-80.

How is the T300 performance after the patch gents (one thing stopping me from pulling the trigger).

definite improvement to ghosting after the patch. it defaults to 20 on the slider but it looks like that's lower than before as standard. be nice to know where on the slider the launch version sat. i cranked it up to 100 and it looked nasty; slight movements to the car caused big ghosting to trees and so on. at 20 even the replays lost their ghosts, which is great, and i haven't noticed a big increase of jaggies so far. will play around some more and find a nice balance, or rather find how high the slider can be set until i notice the blurring again. this temporal level slider is really a good thing.
