PD is apparently bumping up the track number even more :D

Never seen PD keep their numbers straight, they usually go over the advertised number. If it is true that it's a featured course, they'll release a trailer like they did with Mount Panorama.

Doesn't have to be a trailer, but they would probably make sure to mention it in one way or another.

Or just have it announced on GT.com with a few screenshots, a trailer would still be sexy though.

Brands Hatch nor Apricot hill had a separate trailer technically. It may work like those and have a slight apperance in the 6th concept movie if there is one. But judging that PD didn't say anything yet to confirm it, it may not be 100% ready, my bet is 80% :P

So 3 layouts on Ascari exist. Wonder how many we will get?

I think we should be careful about this confirmation. Remember Pikes Peak, Hockenheim, El Capitan? All confirmed for GT5 by companies other than PD. None of them were in the game.

I'll believe it when PD/Sony confirms it.
True but 2 of those where "confirmed" by the same site ( redbull blog) and Hockenheim wasn't really confirmed.https://www.gtplanet.net/hockenheim-circuit-coming-to-gran-turismo-5/
The circumstances are much different regarding Ascari.

Hmmmm, what I find curious about this is the timeline. The track's going to be in the game (presumably at release, given it'll host the event), yet they just went a year ago. Sure, it doesn't have the insane level of detail required of its surroundings like Rome might, but it's a much longer track. If PD has significantly cut down its production time on tracks, that's very good news.

Who knows? We got the TopGear Test Track in GT5 but we didn't get a Reasonably Priced Car to thrash around in.

How is that even remotely the same situation?
ASCARI cars and resort are owned by the same person/group. Top Gear track and reasonably priced cars...are not.

Also, if this is indeed DLC as some speculate, why is PD showing DLC or letting it be shown before the game is even released?

I reckon Ascari Circuit will come into GT6 as a DLC. I wonder if Imola, Zandvoort Circuit and Red Bull Ring will be the next ones to be included from Europe region.

We didn't get a reasonably priced car in GT5? Have you played GT5? Half the cars in the game could qualify as "reasonably priced cars".

I don't have it in front of me, but I believe the time between someone reporting that Goodwood was being scanned and the announcement it was in the game was less than 3 months.

Found it...May 15 actually..

Great news about GT6! For me, Ascari is behind the Nürburgring the most challenging track.
I drove a few laps with a Lotus Elise @ Ascari in October 2011. For sure, Ascari is Heaven on Earth for every Motorsport-enthusiast.

...for a quick release... ;-)

I expect all of it, but then again, we never got the bugatti circuit from Le Mans....

That is different though because less than a third of the Bugatti Circuit is shared with Circuit de la Sarthe. I think a better comparison would be with Suzuka West, which was in GT4 but mysteriously absent from GT5.

Another in the long line of "PD, we'll have none of your logic here" decisions.

The Ascari race track is surrounded by a lovely environment. Knowing PD, they would have modelled all the details outside the course too. Great to have this place included in the game (DLC or not)

The Top Gear guys were there a few years ago. As soon as I first heard about the possible incorporation of Ascari and it being a private track in Spain (close to Ronda in Malaga), I remembered this.

So, if the Ascari track is in the game, does that imply we'll see some Ascari cars, as wel?

Are we in the clear, Jordan, to talk about this, because the answer to SuperShouden's question is...

double post

Where's the multi-quote function? Is it not needed anymore?
