_____________________________[Petition official ''Time Trial''] :_____________________________

[My text] :

Good evening everyone,

I am writing to ask if a petition would interest you.

Let me explain, I'm sick as much as each new time trial we have always the same cars (R390 / GSX-R/4) when there are more than 1000 in the game...

For now this is just an idea but I'd like What is heard by Mr. Kazu, so I contacted several forums (GT_planet, GTPL, GT5.net ...).

Should meet as many people as possible and contacted Mr. Kazu, either by mail or through Twitter or any other means.

If like me you want to change that answer here.

Thank you in advance and apologize if my English is bad.

Regards,
Yinato.

Ideas to join Mr. Kazu :

- Waiting

Because of the petition :

The lack of flexibility in the choice of cars due to pp.
We want other restrictions to use other vehicles such as :

- A restriction ''Country'', ''YEAR''.

So correct me if I am wrong here but you want people to get in touch with Kaz to get him to stop people using them cars? :)

But no... :)

It could just as before, imposing listing cars, or by restricting entry to cars French, English, Before 1979 after 1990 etc...

There are several ways around the problem.

Use any car you want. I personally will never use a GSX-R/4 whatever. I think for the last 400 PP TT I used a 240Z.

The only problem I have with the time trails is if I go back and use a second, different car, it will only show the best time I've done, not the best time for each car.

Yes but the problem is not there, my request is to create a petition, it should not be hard, I would just comment with your username, then I will add it all to Mr. Kaz, yet to find a way to do but I will. 👍

I like to play in the top 10, so if I take another car I have no chance... :nervous:

It would be great if they used more restrictions rather than just PP, HP and weight. It seems that everyone knows what car will be top of the leaderboards without even looking.

I've noticed that in events where everyone is in the same car, same tune that the top 250 places are much more competitive and if you're anywhere over 200th you're likely to be out the top 256 the next day. It would be much more fun if everyone was using different cars at the top but I think these current leaderboard cars have too little PP to begin with.

Hi,

I totally agree with you ! 👍

Thank.

Let's change, it will be fun !

I'think you have a point, but I'm not signing any petition, they're useless.
I just use the cars I like and compare times with friends.

no one said anything about closing it :) this is a legitimate thread :) just remember to use the "edit" button instead of doing another post :) you get told off for that :)

Yup - I used whatever that little Peugeot is in the dealership - 206? 207? I forget the model. Little econobox, tuned to 400pp, golded the event, called it good, and moved on.

I did the Spa 493hp one with a TVR Speed 6. Why? Because I don't really care what the cool kids are using - I like looking through my cars for what *I* think might be a good weapon. It's a driving exercise AND a thinking exercise.

But for every event, no matter what, there is likely to be that one car that has just a little bit of an edge. If you restrict it to French cars, the top guys will all be using the same French car, and you'll have changed exactly nothing.

Stop judging your abilities by what others are doing with their games.

Would certainly be nice to see some variety in vehicles chosen. As stated, year, make, model, drivetrain and requirements like that would probably help. Each time people will probably gravitate towards certain cars, but at least the car in particular would change at times.

Drift trials are just as bad. It's always that same car for the top ten maybe even top twenty. Then if you really want to get into it, drift trials always have DS3 users dominating while time trials have Wheels dominating. Maybe a leaderboard for each type of controller could be made. I know that last part is unlikely, but it's something I would like to see. Not that I think down on them, but I don't care what DS3 users are doing. I use a wheel, so I want to be able to compare myself to only other wheel users.

+1 for this!

Would it not the better for PD to set a premium car that has to be used? This would remove the issue with people always using the r390 and the gsx-r concept. To me the problem is that these cars are too rare, particularly the r390 road car. These tt's rely far too much on having played the game for long enough to have the right car. Using a premium car that everyone can buy is the option for me...

I'm fine with that, but PD actually did this with several of the seasonal events, and there was much complaining about that as well. Remember the WRX and Lotus events? The Mini at the Cape Ring or the Fiat 500 at Tsukuba? Lots of people were complaining that they were too hard, too restrictive, unwinnable, etc. I know it took me quite a while to gold a couple of them, and some I never did manage to win, but they were definitely a challenge!

I guess my main point in this is that no matter what PD does, they are going to make some group of players angry.

If you don't have the car that's topping the charts, use a different car or borrow one from a friend. The current round of TTs seems to require a Chappy 2J or a Nissan R390 Road Car to compete with the top times. I've put both on shared status (I've been sharing the Chappy since around the first of the year for people doing the La Sarthe event) and am happy to have as many people use them as want to. There are several others doing the same thing and encouraging everybody who wants to run these events to use their cars.

Perhaps PD is encouraging more of a *community* in doing events this way, in a way pushing us to work together and share, to engage in TEAMWORK to get things done. Anyone consider that idea?

same can be said with drifting and the speed 12 :)

I have had the hardest time drifting; I've never been able to do it, never gotten a single trophy for it, and had long since given up. I started trying again with the Toyota 86 GT '12, and it was getting better and better, but still no trophies. Then I read about the Speed 12, so I tried it. Set it up with less power (because I really, really suck at drifting, and want to take baby steps to get used to the car), biased for drifting - more brake on the rear, more weight to the rear, etc., hit the Fuji Drift Trial and bronzed it first try. Kept at it a few times and golded it pretty quickly.

The I hit the Eiger Nordwand - and no Speed 12s allowed. :( But the idea of using a longer car made a bit of sense now, so I dusted off an old '87 Buick GNX and put dirt tires on it and went bronze on attempt number one!

I still really suck at drifting, but now I'm getting trophies while sucking at it!

Again, you don't HAVE TO use what the leaders are using, but it might give you an idea what cars have an inherent advantage on certain events.

I don't care about being on top the leaderboard(I'm usually in the top 1000 in time trials restricted to one car) I really only care about beating my friends. For example, on the new Spa time trial, I'm third fastest out of about 15 friends that have posted a time so far, only being beaten by two friends in an R930 Road Car. I used a GT-R Spec V and managed to beat a few friends that used the R930, which to me is worth a lot more than being on the world leaderboard. But I see your point though, it does get old seeing the same car over and over again, I prefer time trials where we're given a car (GT-R, SLS) or restricted to one car(Schulze Motorsports GT-R, NASCAR) those I always do well on and it shows who the "real" drivers are, not just the best car or tuner. For example I placed in the top 400 in the GT-R time trial awhile back.

I don't see the problem with choosing the same car over and over? If it's clearly the fastest and best suited for the track then why would you choose anything else?

Aslong as it's within the regulations then theres nothing wrong with it and no change needed. And what you going to do? Ban the car from that PP range? Drop or raise the PP bar? Then they will find another car that is best suited and everyone will take it. Either way, you will end up back where you started, people using the same car.

If it annoys you so much, take the car they are using and see if you can beat them with it.

Good evening everyone,

I'm glad to see your answers, by cons, many do not really understand the context.

To begin with I do not mean that events ''against the clock'' on-line.

A game must be versatile and not offer the same things over and over ...

Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi has just impose on us a list of 10 cars at each event and the problem is resolved.

What is annoying is not that the players use the same car but it's still the same car is used.

We do not all have the same goals, I play for myself against the best players, I'm 4th on Spa but that does not prevent me from getting tired of this R390...

I do not want to start a debate, I just want to collect people like me are fed up.

I contacted Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi on Twitter but for now I have no answer, I'll keep you informed.

Thank you again for your support and please accept my apologies for my bad English.

Yinato.

Ps : Sorry ''ellisnutt'' for edit, thank you and sorry again.

Yinato, this is rediculous.
Demanding mitigated car use is stupid.
If you can use a caterham for autocross because it fits in and will clearly win, then why outlaw it. So that other people will get a better shot? No.. that is stupid. Because one of the options will still be best, and the best tuners will take advantage of that.

Nobody is forcing you to win, and you know that if you want to win then the r390 is the only way to go. I dont use it because i dont like it, so what.
I dont use the speed twelve.. because i dont like it. I dont win, but i do ok and have fun. I get consistent enough top 2000 scores in whatever car i choose to go in, and enjoy it.

Personally too, i hated the subaru and whatever other trial because we have 1000 cars to choose from, and yet i have to use the darned subaru.
I want to be stupid and use the esprit V8 GT for euro hatchback, and any rwd i want to do a drift trial
