GR is right, last time around we weren't able to throw our tourney entries up onto our galleries until after they were shown in the threads, that way everyone was taking fresh shots.

About Funkshen versus D_P, I had to face TF last tourney, and he just let me know I should try to send my shot in near the tail end of the time limit .

BTW D_P, how are you going to deal with the next round of the tournament? I mean, the opponents are not going to be even for the 2.0, and a round later, not even for the PMC too.

That's a good point sej... Hmmm... And for 2.0 you can't have an elimination poll to get it back even because than we'd be back in the same boat the next round. You could have a loser's bracket to get the entrants back up to 8 for the 2.0.

So a winner's bracket elimination round for PMC and a loser's bracket round for 2.0. You could do it that way....

I've taken pretty much the same stance as you have for this round! I haven't taken my picture yet though. I'm still looking for the right location, but when I do it will be with a car that I haven't shot before. I will be mulling over the location whilst I'm in work tomorrow, so by the night, or the saturday morning at the latest, it should be up! BTW, have anyone noticed that the Sileighty can´t be tuned in Nissan Tuning shop, only in the Tuning Manufacter Village shops. Thats funny...

I am soooo glad that you did that. That is one of the goals of this tournament, i really want people to grow with their shots and editing...even for those who lose, it should be an awesome learning experience...

Yea, i noticed, also, when its in your garage, it isnt under Nissan, its under None. So i guess it doesnt have a manufacturer....But I'm assuming that its ok if i use the Sileighty...

One of the winners of the first round will be selected at random, and will just win through to the third round automatically, that is, unless you all have a better idea...

In the past we were not allowed to post our tournament entries in our galleries until after the tournament. That is why we send our entries to you in PM's so everyone has a fresh image that nobody has seen and/or critqued. Just thought I would let you know.

That is a very good idea....SO, i will change the rules, Your entry now has to be new, not from your gallery....

DP, I don't think that's a good idea, because it's unfair for the opponents, that one can skip a round. I think another poll would be better, something like 440 said. Could you check that out?

And uhh, can I enter a pic I haven't published, but made before the tournament? Is the pic still as "fresh" then?

Alright thats good. Got a new pic though. I was doubting between three pics so it was kinda a struggle choosing one ya know. I got another shot from thesame set that I'll put in my gallery, when the poll is up.

For 2.0, after the first round there will only be 7 contenders left. So out of the losers of the first round (which, there will be 7) you could make a short 1 or 2 day comp with a theme for all 7 and a poll for 1 or 2 days, and the winner of the 7 moves on to make 8 contenders. Than you would'nt have to worry about having an odd number again because it would be 4 and 2 after that.

For the PMC, since you only have 10 entrants, you would be left with 5 after the first round. So I would suggest having another comp for 1 or 2 days with a theme for all 5 winners and the top 4 would advance, and the person that receives the least amount of votes is terminated.

That will be the new solution to the not even brackets problem...entries so far are looking good, tonight i will have to learn how to post a poll as i have never done it or attempted it before...

OHH NO, I NEED HELP MAKING A POLL, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DO IT, I JUST CLICKED THE BOX AND IT DIDNT DO ANYTHING....if someone could please help, i would really really really really appreciate it!

DP, if you have any questions about polls, I can answer them. They can't be edited once they're submitted, so my single best bit of advice is learn to love the preview button . My personal method for putting the H2H polls up (notice how they're always only a minute or two after the thread, and both polls are always posted at the same time):

• Open up Notepad.
• In Firefox, I right-click on either their thumb or preview image (whichever links to the full-sizer) and click "Copy Link Location".
• In Notepad, make a URL="paste" code.
• In between the URL tags, put the proper IMG tags.
• Right-click the preview image (or thumb), and Copy Image Location.
• Rinse and repeat for each entry.
• When you're ready to post the new thread, check the box about posting a poll and enter the right amount of options.
• Now just cut and paste each entry into it's option .

Of course, the Tourney polls were always done differently. TF allows multiple votes, and each "match title" was an "option", but nobody was supposed to vote for it. People then vote once in each match. If that's all confusing, I'll try to explain clearer... best to just check the old polls .

Yea, i figured it out just before i saw this, but your tips will def. be helpful, thanks man, i will most likely do the whole match title thing, because i want people to take into account the theme when they vote, to me, someones interpretation of the theme could win them my vote....anyways, thanks a ton for the help man...
