NOT CONFIRMED, but seriously screw these massively long work trips. Got GT Sport waiting for me at home, speaking of which...

Interesting perspective on GTS always online DRM:

I think most of the commotion is just people striving for the grand old days of GT that are concerned (and very vocal I might add) that it's making a shift away from the drive and grind single player campaigns/careers towards online racing, but really how many people out there buying GT Sport, PCars 2, etc. aren't planning on driving online? Because that's literally all the racing I do now. My business side says Polyphony and Sony are jumping on this Sim Racing bandwagon 110% by teaming up with the FIA and frankly, why shouldn't they? It's still a niche market sure, but it's definitely getting hot and we're bound for some great stuff in the next few years, especially GT with the resources and rep that they currently have. Hell I just watched an ESPN feature on Jann Mardenborough last month, if that doesn't give GT Academy massive props and reach I don't know what does.

The shocking thing though is the GTS track selection. One would have expected more real world tracks where FIA sanctioned races are taking place. What went wrong?

I also think they went a few steps backwards with club features not available, no qually and no spec racing. Everything SNAIL ... and no voice chat!

Wait, so online racing in GTS has NO qualifying??? No voice chat can be dealt with by party chat though right? The club feature in GT6 was great, it made online race setup so much easier. If Sunday SNAIL were to come to PCARS2, I'd consider getting back into it.

Also, confirming!

GTS has qualifying, once you register for one of the online races that happen every 20 minutes, you can go into the room and run laps that count as qualifying times until the race begins. Voice chat can be handled by party chat but only up to 8, cause that is the max for PSN.

Confirming for this Sunday at Fuji.

Can someone explain the weather setting for Sundays practice and qualifying before the race? How will the qualifying session be set? It would seem to me that qualifying should be in set for "light rain" only. As it comes before the 2 PM race start time.

Knowing the weather makes all the difference on how the car gets setup.

I was going to ask the same question.

This weekend is going to be interesting. I'm somewhat happy with my car setup for my dry practices, but my car setup for the wet weather is quite different. Going to be fun trying to balance it out.

Can't say I have really liked this car this season. It's been good to get a feel for the new tire model and braking model, setups and pit strats, but I really do not like the way it drives. For its pace, it understeers quite a bit. If the back end slips, it's a heck of a fight to get it back, and far too easy to get a tank slapper. Looking forward to seeing what gets picked next season.

On that note, if a series gets picked, and we are free to pick any car in that discipline, is there going to be a balance of performance applied to the cars? I realize that requires some testing, so time might not permit.
