I have only played pcars offline up until now other than a couple random online races when i first got the game so bear with me. This is so different from gt6 it is disorientating.

Here are the results of the Group A Challenge Cup. Obviously, congrats to Mopar on the win again... bleh... :) and also to The BMW team drivers for the Manufactuers Cup. After adding in Miss Devious' finish, it did give the BMW team the boost needed to overtake the Ford drivers for the win.

My internet melted down last night ending my night early. I had fun in the qualifying sessions at least. Hope to give it another shot one of these nights, this time with some practice so i can be up to pace faster.

Good to hear you didn't just wuss out. :)

Hey guys I know it's been awhile since I've been around (3rd shift lifestyle ftw) but I think I found a way to improve the stream. If we could have an overlay like this one as a "post race production" as well as the live stream. I could use my own video from my ps4 as well as anyone else that would like to contribute.

Sorry guys, I don't want to be a spoiler of what was a cool event. But pit stops from race 2 are bugging the dodo outa me. I ended up 21 seconds back of the leader, my pit stop takes 21 seconds. I went into the pits with a 6 second lead over mopy.
Maybe I crashed and don't remember or I took 510 liters to much? Maybe I really should watch the replay before I insert foot. But I don't remember crashing. I do remember having some kick ass racing with a few other drivers.
  • Pit Stops
    • All drivers shall make at least one pit stop during races #1 & #2. No penalty shall be given for any pit stops made within race #3.
    • ALL pit stops shall include the reception of fuel to a 110L capacity.
    • NO TIRES may be taken during any pit stop.
    • Any pit stops may include the repair of damage.
    • Any mandatory pit stop may be initiated anytime after the completion of the 1st racing lap and prior to the beginning of the last racing lap. (ie. It is not permissable for any driver's final lap to be 95% of the track's length.) Early or late pit stops will come with a 5 second time penalty.

Mostly likely due to time in the pits. Mopy started the race with 20L more fuel than you due to regulations (regulations I designed to help even things out for mid-pack drivers, maybe not such a great idea?). Anyways, although the Ford is thirstier than the Merc, he probably didn't have to spend as much time fueling since he had more in the tank at the time of pit. Actually, it proves how consistently fast you guys are because I timed fueling via a stopwatch and came up with an average of 3.4s/10L. So yeah, you got beat by the regs and Mopy's choice of car (and his ability to drive that thing fast with worn tires).

On the flipside of things it did as I hoped for some of the mid-pack guys. It kept Chad and I very close through pit-stop cycling.

@Lessen Let's just stick to Mopar. Mopy doesn't cut it. =)
But heck yeah I was driving like I stole it, that was a very cool race night. And the cars were definitely very close in lap times. Would like to do a similar one next time.

@ONESPACE I noticed you pitted in race #1 very early (lap 2 I think). This got me thinking, why would you do that? My thought was, if you started with 65L of fuel and HAD to get a full tank (110L), it would take less time filling it from 60L-to-110L, then from say 20L-to-110L. This would save you a lot of time in the pits, at the expense of slightly slower lap times overall and a bit more tire wear (more weight in the car, x5 tire wear).
Noting the above idea, I did it in race #2, and I believe you pitted around half way (?) Or so. So while you did have a 6 second lead on me, I had already pitted long ago and saved a bunch of time not needing to fill up those extra gallons.
And since tires were not needing to be changed, pitting half way like usual didn't make sense.

On a side note, the above was just my thinking, for all I know, you could of pitted early due to damage or something.

*Edit*
Going off @Lessen fuel times note the below.
3.4seconds per 10L of fuel

10L = 3.4s
20L = 6.8s
30L = 10.2s
40L = 13.6s
50L = 17s
60L = 20.4s
70L = 23.8s
80L = 27.2s

If anyone pitted about half way, it took you about an extra 10 seconds to get fuel over myself.

Ok I got it now, that early pit didn't help at all in the first race. So I waited until lap 8 in the second race and that didn't help at all either, it just made it worse. loll
Good choices with the next cars. I went with the GT4, but was hard not to pick the V8 supercar.

PS Golds are good, but I use Hyper X Cloud II
I love my golds. You can adjust chat and game sound right on the headset. They also have an app you can DL with preset special game sound. Oh look what else I got

Do you guys have any recommendations for a PS4 headset? The lack of a text chat feature in pcars had me feeling a little out of the loop.

I've been using Turtle Beach P11 for a couple years now. They are solid. You can adjust chat and game volume separately as others can. They were inexpensive. Not wireless.
