And then there were 5. Small room for racing, but what a blast anyway. We had a good five car train for about 15 laps. Sorry for DPing at the end.
I think, know, the Lotus is keeping people away. She's a devil in a pretty dress that likes to be finessed. I am starting to enjoy racing it. That being said, it is scaring guys away. Whats the protocol for voting a series off early? I like it, but I wouldn't miss it.....

Fantastic racing tonight guys! I think the car produces close racing with the Big HP and zero aero. I lagged off the start in race 1 and dropped to last. Race 2 was a dog fight with 5 of us taking turns leading.

Well done! I stayed up too late watching the battles for 2,3,4,& 5. Loved the broadcast. 👍
I'm glad you liked it.
As it was happening, twitch notified me that someone was watching, but I couldn't see who was that unfortunate soul...

If the Twitch video doesn't work, here's the youtube version

Here's the twitch broadcast, I'm also uploading to youtube, will get the link out when it's done.

Sorry about having to hear my voice for 1+ hour...

Great broadcast flip, I ended up watching the whole thing this morning and being late for work now, boss is gonna fire me, lol. That race was one of the best I've ever had as far as battling hard all night and trying to conserve brakes and tires at the same time. Race 2 was good as well. Quite a few complain about this car but it sure is producing some great racing.
 to all the great racecraft last night.

@SGETI I hope all is ok with your son.

Glad you liked it. It was fun to watch and comment. It's a pity that racing is more fun that commentating, but I can definitely see the appeal.
Also, PCars Dash was invaluable in that task. Gaps were real time, which really made it easy to follow the battles.
I'm even more appalled at how bad the commentators IRL are, because they probably have even more info.

This car is a lot of fun to drive. No aero and no brakes!!

I hope that's not true. There's plenty of other series available for those who just want to push easy to drive modern racers.

I think with only one regular season race left we can all tough it out. It is a tricky car to drive but it is very satisfying when you get it right. Besides, what fun would it be if we only drove really easy cars all of the time. LOL

I agree and also think that this type of car really teaches you what's what.
That's part of the reason I will always believe Jim Clark and The Maestro were and are the greatest F1 drivers ever.
Long live the hard to drive cars and the memory of Jim and Juan Manuel.

EDIT: And the Maestro is the greatest driver ever. He drove everything and won in all of them.

Great video Flip. Good job on the commentary, made it very entertaining. 👍

Even though I didn't have the pace to stay with the lead pack last night, I still have enjoyed the experience gained by driving this car. I don't get as much sim time as most of you, so having to wrestle this beast for an entire season has been valuable training. I actually look forward to one more week, but probably won't miss her when she's gone.

I think my experience driving NASCAR games for so long have helped me with this car. Very similar cars as far as how you approach the corners. You can really steer the car with the throttle.

Sorry for bailing on the second race. My son earlier in the day received his weekly allergy shot, no issues with any adverse reaction. however late last night he was covered in a rash and his breathing was labored. The xwife called the ambulance, that's when she called me and said he needed to go to the hosp. The paramedics and his regular Dr talked on the phone and was agreed did not need hosp. only more benedryl.
She likes to try and keep her only son in a bubble. He is fine today and as most teenagers getting under his parents skin.

I guess I am in the minority when it comes to this Lotus. I like trying to drive this car. As you noticed I said, trying. Sometimes she bites me hard and other times the bite is more of a type of foreplay. The easier you are with her the more reward she will give you.

@FlipJ great job on video, the comments were spot on.

@Zii1993 If you have a girl, I pity the boy who comes to your house to ask her out.

Glad everything is fine with your boy. Moms will do that to kids, it's up to the dads to make sure they scrape their knees and bang their heads a bit...
And thank you.

Holy **** Z, guess I'd feel safe if I was your house guest, lol. And I thought the young apprentice that I was working with earlier this year down in Virginia liked his guns. Cool collection regardless.

Glad it was nothing too serious Sgeti and he will be fine.
Shame you had to leave as it had the makings of a great night for you. I got us a 2nd and 3rd, definitely be one of my better points tally nights this season. I really enjoy the challenge of this car, you just can't over drive it.

Hey hey hey, relax, lol. I was just concerned that the car was keeping people away.
Great video Flip, hard to see at night..... I did see that awesome pass I made on Alex....so close.
I think my brakes were cooked after three laps.....that turn one brake zone chewed em up like a snuffed up booger. Eww.
Rumor has it the Ariel Atom might be a vote for next season. Do it.
Who else can't wait for the all star race at the Nord? You guys better bone up on me and Aeros favorite track and by the way, the Bloatus is a hoot there, if you have the stones.

I have to ask, when you let Alex and Aero through, was it because you went OOB at the Esses?

I am STOKED for the Nordschleife race. So rare to get people to race there. I was thinking about this today actually. It's going to be great!
