That's going to be an interesting race.
T1 is going to be fun in the Lotus. The others should be less of a problem.

Regarding yesterday, it was a fun night.

Race 1, I don't know if I bumped someone or if someone bumped me (I'm pretty sure it was my fault, but I didn't see who it was and I ask that, whoever it was, that they forgive me, it wasn't on purposes, obviously) after gaining 6 places until the 2nd chicane. Then poop hit the ventilator. The aforementioned bump took me OOB, hit the wall, destroyed my car and my pit crew (since fired) wouldn't fix the car. After 3 laps and 3 pit stops, the car was still limited to 220-230 km/h and I was 3 laps down. Decided to quit and snuggle with the misses for a bit (wise idea).
Came back for the 2nd race with the proper pit strategy, but never damaged the car, until Chad chased me down and my brakes went away. Ended up spinning in front of him in the Stadium and lost 2 places (@SGETI was close behind). Tried getting them back, but with no brakes, it wasn't in the cards, so I settled into a rhythm for the last 4-5 laps and kept my P3, leading my invaluable teammate home, for a nice Saint and Sinner Racing P3 and P4.

Shout out to @Gr8_Lakes for leading Race 1 for a while and holding down the fort while I screwed things up. Incredible performance, mate.

Congratulation to @Chad151515 for another dominant night.

Thanks @FlipJ ! Same to you good job!

The start to race 1 for me was rough. I forgot that you can't just drop the clutch and floor it. I'm amazed I lost a couple places going left to right a couple time and nobody was seriously injured. From there i tried to play catch up with Chad for the rest of the race. Closing the gap down to almost nothing but couldn't keep my lines for the second stint.
Race 2 was a disaster. I put 3-4 times never lost a tire but spun quite a few times. Not really sure why lobban was going so slow at the end...... meds must be throwin off his perception of time. But hey I won't complain I'll take the free spot.

I had brake damage in the second race, my right front brake would lock up, never had that before. The first race saw about 20 seconds of OOB penalties which accounted for my suckiness. No complaints, the game made me pay for my mistakes.
Ever heard of this Chadbaseball guy? Does he race with us? I don't think I have ever seen him on track, he's always so ffar ahead.

First race , i followed the rear of @OLD_BEAR rite into the tire barrier on the first chicane. Yes I am an azz man. Then I missed the pits, dugh?? :dunce:. TWICE!! Was able to come back with a podium, the last lap was a blast with @cheeze_KRACKER and @Racer420_Jr_88.

Race two, dam @Chad151515 suckered me in the chicanes and I fell for it, hook , line and sinker. Good race.

League is so competitive my hands are sweating every lap!

Great racing with you as always!

Race 1 - First PITS race on a wheel and it didn`t start like I wanted. Spun the tires off the start and lost 5 spots. Luckily for me an accident in the first chicane took out 3 guys. Was eventually able to get the lead but had @Zii1993 all over me. We both seemed to struggle with consistent lap times and I think he had an issue and lost some time. I had to stop quick for a splash of fuel but held on.

Race 2 - The first half of the race I was just trying to stay consistent and not get caught up in anything. I worked my way to 2nd and was behind @FlipJ when he had an issue. Luckily for me when he spun I hit him square so it didn`t effect much, just aero. For the remainder of the race @SGETI was all over me. With a few laps to go I knew the only way I would win the race was to force Sgeti into an error. I was along side Sgeti heading into the final chicane. Knowing I had no chance of making it stick or holding the lead I backed out hoping Sgeti would out brake himself. Unfortunately for him for me he did and I was able to go on by.

- I don`t think I was the fastest car in either race but fortunately for me the winner isn`t always the fastest car.

No, not quite. The PS4 is connected to your home network, whether by wire or wifi. The device (phone/tablet) is also on that network (wirelessly of course). The PS4 sends the data to the home network which is then available for the device to receive. So it kinda goes from PS4 > router > device. The data is kinda contained within your home network, but it does not get to the device directly from the PS4. If I turn my phone's Bluetooth OFF, the app still works (my phone has never been linked to my PS4 via Bluetooth anyways). If I turn my phone's Wifi OFF, the app no longer receives data because it has been disconnected from your HOME network (your pc and all connected peripherals), not the BIG network (internet via ISP). I tried it earlier to test, once I turn the Wifi off on the phone, the session timer in the app just froze. When I re-enabled the Wifi, the clock caught back up to the game. It is pretty fascinating that all this information is flying around us almost instantaneously. Pretty cool this Playstation thing is. :)

I always assumed it was a wifi signal from my router in the house that would have to get to my laptop. My rig is in my man cave at the far corner of my shop with no wifi signal at all available so I didn't think it would work. But after reading yours and others posts I got the app on my laptop and fired it up yesterday and it worked right away. At first I left my laptop hardwired to my network, but then unplugged it to see if app still worked and it did. However, it froze after a pitstop. I plugged laptop back in to network cable and didn't have a freeze issue again. Not really sure if that has anything to do with it or not?
Cool app though, nice to see some hard % values instead of guessing.

Mistakes happen! Was it on the downshift?
No, it was on the brakes, they were very low at that point, and I failed to adjust, so once I got on them, I locked up and touched the grass on the outside.
Locked brakes+grass=disaster

But I wasn't going to hold you or SGETI, no way I could still poosh very 'ard like Valentino for 6 more laps with bad brakes.

Something that has bothered me with this game, is how the brakes lock up when the brakes are excessively worn. I've driven with bad brakes and lock ups were definitely not the issue. I guess if the brake linings were gone, and there was metal on metal contact, excessive heat could cause binding. But I've never driven anything so hard in real life, especially with bad brakes. So I can't sasy if this is an accurate depiction of what would really happen. Anyone know how real this is?

When I was younger and not so responsible had my first cars' brakes worn very badly that they would start to seize (pad to rotor). Like... I would start 'er up and put it in gear, but the car would not roll without some throttle. Now under racing conditions I have no idea, but you're talking about heating components up to several hundred or nearly 1000 degrees. I imagine things happen at that point, especially in a car like the Lotus where the tire/tarmac grip is not all that great and could be far easier surpassed by the fusing of brake components than say a modern race car with sticky tires that are more likely to keep rolling. Maybe...

Just did some practice Oschersleben GP , The biggest time saving I found was to brake early, trail brake, and then go for exit speed. Those hairpins will test you, need to go slow, you may think you are going to slow, however going faster will only result in understeer and lost time. Was able to hot lap 136.423. (only once) the rest of the laps were high 136.xxx to low 137.xxx.

I was worried about this. I love running this track in the RUF GT3 - lots if trail braking. I have had a lot of trouble keeping the Lotus stable when trail braking. That, combined with the tendency for the front end to push in hairpins has me cringing at this track. Ran some laps with Bear the other night and found I could destroy a lap time by trying to accelerate out of a hairpin too early. If you have to lift on exit, you did it wrong. Going to be very challenging. I'll be practicing late tonight.
