You guys need to sleep once in a while. I too love that car. Aero hates it so you know where my vote will go. Except for the Ariel, I think its one of my faves.
I've been having trouble sleeping here lately Mike so might as well do something constructive, and yes the Evo or the Ariel either one would make for some good close racing

Not sure i agree with your comment about the indy cars, Fittipaldi and Mansell both came from F1 and won Indy car and numerous other ex F1 guys have done well. Ya, there have been some that haven't done very well but that seems to be more of a recent thing. Lets turn it around, the only guy I can think of off the top of my head is Michael Andretti going to McLaren F1 and that didn't work out so well, mind you, I believe he might have had Senna as a teammate!

I have attended live F1 races every decade now since the sixties, the first one was the 1967 Canadian GP at Mosport. The only thing I remember was how crazy loud the cars were and that my hero, Jim Clark, retired from the race. I can't say I have ever heard a bad sounding F1 car, just that some have been crazy hard on the ears. The V8's have always seemed the loudest to me, particularly in 2006, they just wailed and really hurt your ears if you weren't wearing protection, but with ears muffled, they sounded great. My last live F1 was the inaugural COTA in 2012, again V8's and you had to have earplugs. One of the coolest sounding F1 years for me was '86, when they were running twin turbo V6's, man those things sounded great. I still remember standing by the fence, at the right hand kink after start finish line at Montreal in practice, when they came by for the first time. You could hear them accelerating down the straight and the sound building and building until those turbo's went rushing by with this god almighty roar/scream, it literally took your breath away. My wife will still tell you to this day, how she stood there in disbelief that anything could make a sound like that!

With my comment I directed it towards the modern era. The ride buying in F1 is way out of hand. I think there's only 7-8 drivers that are truly the best in the world. IndyCar has one of the deepest fields ever. That's just my opinion though!
I wish I could hear the v12s just once in my life!

Well you have a coupe of options, this http://www.mastershistoricracing.com/race-calendar/ or https://www.goodwood.com/flagship-events/festival-of-speed/

Check this out I was at Montreal when Alesi and Berger were driving this, another awesome sounding car. That was a very cool year to go, Shuey in the Benneton, Hill and Coultard in the Williams, Hakkinen in the McLaren.
I'm just a 2.5 hr drive from Circuit Gilles Villeneuve so have been able to see many GP's there over the years.
As you might notice, I have been an F1 fanatic since I was a little kid! Coming from the UK in the 60's, my dad was a huge F1 fan and took me to a few races before we left for Canada. That's why my F1 hero has always been Jim Clark.

Goowood or any F1 race that has a masters/classic support race is your best bet.
And the ride buying has gone down. At the moment, we have 3 guys that straight up bought their rides (Ericsson, Nasr and Palmer). The rest got there with sponsors, yes, but they also have proven track records.
And that one of the problems with F1, it's no expensive that the small teams can't afford to not sell the seats...

Thanks! Yes I can see that!

I would still take a bunch of the IndyCar guys over a decent amount of the F1 Grid but that's just my opinion. I could be a bit biased because I'm from the states.

If everyone had the same opinion, the world would be even worse than it is now, so I'm glad to hear yours.

The only exception is if everyone had the name opinion as me. Then the world would be Shangri-la and I would be the emperor of the world.

First order of business: Lancia is now official car manufacturer of the entire world. Delta Integrales for all!!!!

This Wednesday will be my final PITS race for awhile. A Wednesday night NASCAR league I ran is starting another season next Wednesday and I will race here when I can. I have had a great time racing with you guys and have learned a lot about sim racing. I have also learned a lot about how to run a professional online sim league. Thank You @Alex ONeill and @Zii1993 for all the time you put in to make an awesome league for us.

I know most people are ready to be done with the Lady Lotus, but she's a valuable teaching tool and we still have to race it, so pinch your noses and gulp it down.

EDIT:
So the plan for today is as follows:
- We'll take Lady Lotus straight to the Glen, to work on how to get up to speed on a new track while optimising your time doing it, while devoting extra attention to a couple of places on the track
- Individual attention still at the Glen
- Mock Race (Mango rules in effect)
- Different car at the same track, in order to illustrate how lines change while driving other machines
- A few more Lotus laps at the Glen
- Mock Race (tyre and fuel wear testing, no Yellow Flags)
- Enjoy a cold beverage of your choice

What will be the different machines? I am assuming something simple still, probably not ready to amp it up to GT4 or GT3 yet??

Those that show up will know. And it won't be GT3 or 4...

(that's what we, in the business. call a teaser)
