Pizza Delivery in Europe?

In Finland the Toyota Yaris is a very popular model. Our system is a bit different from many other countries, the cars are painted in the colours of the restaurant, driven by the restaurant staff and generally kept in very good condition. No beat-up econoboxes here.

Figures. I've read a few things about Scandinavian countries, where they have the best of many things: health care, houses, interior designs, and personal well-being. Hardly any crime, hardly anyone out of work. Guess it also doesn't hurt that you've got almost zero population growth!

bjb
In Queensland Australia Dominos, Pizza Hut and Eagle Boys all have Yaris's usually with a need for speed style vinyl.:yuck:

I live in Australia, ...and these little Holden Astra's, if you know what they are.

Holden Astra (1.8 - 2.0 Litre) for those who may not know, are a smaller version of the Vaxhaul Vectra (2.6 - 3.6 Litre). And we know what Jeremy Clarkson thinks of the Vectra.

I have seen Pizza Delivery guys in South Aust. use Toyota Yaris/Vitz. I have also seen a Holden Commodore as a delivery car.

Although not in GT4. My unlce used to deliver pizza's on the back of his Suzuki 650 Savage bike. People thought it was a harley and really cool untill they saw the suzi badge.

Around here theres a Pizza Hut with a couple of Smart Cars out front with Pizza Hut liveries. Can't see where the Pizza would go, though.

I never really pay attention to pizza delivery boys' cars that aren't covered in the company's logo though. If I wanted to stare at a 106 / Saxo / Clio / Fiesta / etc that drove into Halfords, I'll stand in the college carpark. :P

Here in Sydney it's usually a choice of 2 types of cars:

Big business chains (Pizza Hut, Domino's, etc.): Toyota Echo's (Yaris), or the current generation Suzuki Swift (the closest in GT4 is the S2-Concept) and the occasional banger with a sign on top. Hyundai's used to rule this division, with Excel's & Accent's aplenty a few years back.

Local Pizza shops: ANYTHING from a beat up Gemini (closest is Bellett GT-R) or Barina/Corsa to a couple of E36 3 series BMW's. Depends on how wealthy the store owner is. ;)

Seems like the Yaris, Corsa, and Saxo are most popular so far.

Nobody has answered my question yet. DOMINOS overseas: do people actually eat it in countries that traditionally seem to have better food??

I mean, I know McDonalds is everywhere. That seems different to me because McDonalds is so cheap, and it has a definite taste that is all its own (McDonalds has the best cheap fries, for instance...and all those funny shakes they make).

But DOMINOS...:yuck::ill: I don't get it! Here in the states it's not that cheap, since it's delivered. Papa Johns is cheaper and better. Only college students seem to dig dominos near where Ilive, but they also dig lots of beer, bugs...whatever they're forced to eat as they're hazing.

theres no real competition to dominoes here in the u.k

We mostly live on our genuine national dish, fish and vinegar ;) with SOME chips!

You're kidding right? British food is still bad?? There aren't any good pizza chains even in this day and age?

BtW, I've had fish & chips here in some English-style pubs; it's not as bad as they say!

Some people have on taste.

Our fish and chips are okay, but you have to go nearer to scotland if you want the real good stuff.

We have pizza hut, theyre okay, but from my experiance theyre incredibly expensive and i dont even think they do takeaways.

Domino's aren't bad,... you want to try bad pizza, check out Telepizza in Spain... people actually prefer Domino's (now called Duomo's here) to that. We have Duomo's, Telepizza, Roger's and Pizza Hut, but this last one is only in the tourist area about 45 mins. from where I live.

As usual, smaller, family-styled places serve the best pizzas, but are scarcely available for anywhere. As to their cars, I have to say allof them use mopeds. Only one in another area I've seen has a Fiat Punto.

Pizza Hut gave me heartburn so bad one day, I vowed never to return. I mean, it was like my chest hurt REAL bad....lots of belching, too :yuck: It's that sauce they use....it must have some wicked preservatives in it or something, on top of acidic tomato sauce. :ill:

Huh. They must use a different formula for their recipes overseas. Or maybe I'm just a pizza-snob.

Oh yeah, the Punto!

hahaha i used to go there after the movies, because they have them both side by side, and i never had that problem, but sometimes wewould be eating a pepperoni pizza, large sized. (of course). And one of the pepperoni slices would be hotter than the pizza itself, and one would be colder than the pizza itself....

dodgy. :scared:

Yikes!

I'm gonna try to take some pictures this weekend with my cell camera of the local arab pizza guys and their fleet of Civic hatches and coupes. One guy has a Neon sedan, too.

here where i live (greece, northern greece...) i see lot of scooters...

other than that they usually use little fiat's like the fiat cinquecento or the older fiat panda...

...although ive also seen a few vw golf mk2 gti being used as working cars, with the rear seats out and the side rear windows closed up...

ive also seen a scirroco 2.0lt and a corrado also a 2.0lt as working cars...

That's one car that's definitely missing from the game...the Scirocco! :grumpy: I saw one the other day and started imagining its possibilities in GT4.

scirocco? Definitely. Isnt there an Super 2000 - type version out there? Id have that.

I hope they have one in GT5....

They should have all the Super 2000 cars, a skoda fabia that can outrun a rally car? Get in!

A Norwegian-styled pizza delivery:):

The cars are always painted in the restaurants colors here, and kept in pretty good condition.

I love how that car stayed in a decent condition after half flipping. Anything here would just crumple. Its annoying..

...actually it dosent look like it rolled over, it rather tiped over, probably because of its height and mostly because of its driver...:ouch:

only a handful of ff (front wheel drive) cars car drift and the yaris aint one of them...

:bowdown::bowdown: long live vw golf gti mk1 :cheers::cheers:
