My calculating says...

As off today at 8:11am (This will all be done on my time, +10 GMT), Ferrari Chris posted a picture of 1,980,700 posts. Next Jordan said GTP's 5 year is coming up on the 25th, which is nearer to 4 then 5 days from now.

So 1,980,700 posts have been made in 5 years - 4 days or
1826 - 4 days = 1822 (4*365 + 366 for those playing at home).

This equates to 1087.1~ posts per day (1,980,700 / 1822).

Therefore, needing 19300 posts to get to 2,000,000, (2,000,000 - 1,980,700 obviously), it will take 17.75~ days to get to 2,000,000.

17.75~ days takes us to around the 6th/7th of February.

HOWEVER This assumes that the posting has been at a constant 1000+ posts per day for 5 years. Which it hasn't, obviously. Time to do some more calculations. I'll edit this post if no one gets in first.

Ok, Ferrari's 1,980,700 came was posted at 8:11am (I assume he screenshot then too), it's now 7:39pm and the post count is up to 1,981,470, or up 770. This has come in 11 hours and 28 minutes (near enough to 11.46 hours).

This is at a rate of 1612 posts per day, which much, much more then the average over 5 years. At this rate, needing 18530 posts to get, it will take 11.5~ days.

This brings us to...February 1st/2nd. So my new guess is February 1st, 5:00pm GMT.

I've got to say I don't agree with this rationale. The site was obviously less busy (and less populated) back then that it is now...

Using the average over 5 years is going to be more inaccurate than using an average calculated over a far shorter period (e.g. today or tomorrow...). Also, this doesn't take into account the actual number of posts, only the surviving ones...
