That was quite unremarkable for a conference. Nothing new. Lots of DLC discussion for games that were already out for months/years.

It just seemed to end abruptly as well.

Why does anyone watch these things anyways? Unless you work in reporting the information then just watch the trailers and such which are always posted minutes after they show up anyways.

Only interested in the new Ace Combat and with VR, as it was expected, will be great fun to use along with it.

The excitement of seeing a game launch/reveal live, generally. You don't get that reading an article and watching the trailer later. Unfortunately this event was severely lacking in interesting reveals or launches.

So basically a horrible conference and a lot of VR stuff I guess.
So I was just tuned in to see if there was any idea on GTS or anything like that.
Since there wasn't I can go back to try find something on tv.

With each new conference from MS or Sony I have a hope that next gen will come to life and wow me. They have failed everytime. Maybe I'm just getting too old.

Well turns out with BC they are making people pay to play PS2 games buying them again even if you own it. With the Xbox One it's free, you just insert the disk to verify your copy.

Epic fail there Sony, they should have learnt from the flop of Playstation Now that people will not pay to play PS3 and PS2 games you already own!

The VR stuff looked pretty decent though.

Actually, I do get excited by well written articles concerning games/films that I am interested in.

How am I supposed to play the PS2 game I bought on PSN (usually for more money than the game would have been used, but we'll sidestep that) for the PS3 on my PS2? Is it all fine and dandy that Sony tells even those people to go piss in the wind if they would like those digital titles (of which Sony has released something like 3 or 4 dozen new ones since the PS4 launched) to be useable (if not upgraded like the ones now) if they ever move on to the PS4?

What about PSX ones? Sony has raked in money with those across 3 completely separate platforms with completely different architecture, yet all of those could be transferred to any of the three systems at any time to be played (and with the PS3, even with your own disc). After making it abundantly clear that there is no technical restrictions preventing them from allowing those games to be shared, if they do the same with those on PS4 as they have done with PS2 games should the people who bought those games (and happily played them on their PS3/PSP/Vita) just shut up and hand Sony money again too?

Uh uh uh! I know. You could play those games on the PS3 that you bought them on! Damn, I sure am a genious. Solving all your problems. ;)

I'm not going to pretend to know anything about the required tech and programming behind all of this, so I won't. However, the buttom line is that you were never promised to be able to use that content outside of the platform you bought them on. No one is keeping you from playing the games on the console you bought them for. And remember, digital games aren't yours. You just have a temporary license. Which is why I usually stray away from digital games, and stick to physical copies.

If your logic was genius, we'd all have mains wiring like this:

Which doesnt seem very genius. Ideally, we'd like to be able to play legacy titles now that we know its possible, without being nickle and dimed just for the sake of it.

Wait the ps4 299$ goes live at 12am right??? or sometime doing the day? hopes its by 10am cause i'll be at my local GS by that time to finally buy my first ps4 ...........at 299$

Yes. How can anyone possibly survive having more than 2-3 wires pluged in at the same time. Ohh the horrors! OHH THE HUMANITY!

No one is stoping you from playing your legacy titles that you've already paid for. It just won't be on the PS4, unless you're willing to pay for that version of the game.

GTA 3, GTAVC & GTASA on PS4

They're £11.99/$14.99 (Each) on the PS Store.

I'm just glad that we are getting ps2 classics and more frequent. On PlayStation blog they said they go be bringing us are favorite ps2 classics frequently. So that's good. Like i said i would love to see the games i listed a few pages back. Don't be bringing us weak ass ps2 games that nobody never heard of. It's nice to that these games look slightly better, you can shareplay them, and earn trophies along with live streaming them. That's cool that they doing that.

Been on the hunt for possibly a new headset for the ps4 although I don't want something that looks like it's back in the 80s headset either. Just want a small bluetooth headset which I guess is next to impossible to find. Any ideas?

They're lucky Microsoft messed up so badly at the start, because it sounds like they're running out of momentum. I still want a PS4, but that's to play either games already out (TLoU-R, InFamous) or still some way off (No Man's Sky, Shenmue 3). There certainly isn't anything from this year that's pushed me towards getting one sooner.

"We've just seen the most successful Black Friday in the company's history," he said in an interview with the Financial Times. "We are now trying to benchmark against the success of the PlayStation 2 - or exceed it if possible."
The company has been able to stay ahead of rivals such as Microsoft's Xbox One and Nintendo's Wii U partly through exclusive content partnerships with leading games makers. These have included a deal with Activision Blizzard, the world's largest games publisher, for last month's launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Such deals have added to the PS4's popularity with hardcore gamers.

yea the ps4 is running out of momentum alright

Sales wise it isn't, creatively it seems like it.

I'm not sure an article calling Call of Duty a lure for hardcore gamers is the best, either. My mother in law likes playing Call of Duty and even her husband isn't anything like a hardcore gamer. It's the only game he plays (black ops 2 zombies).

Ok so the PlayStation app needed to be updated and now to order to send messages you gotta download a whole another app to send messages. I say the only good news now with this is that i can save my photos to my phone that i sent to friends.

Yeah it's annoying that Sony has decoupled the messaging portion of the Playstation App and spun it off into a separate thing. It just means more 'stuff' on your phone using memory and battery!

HOW MANY MESSAGING APPS DOES THE WORLD REALLY NEED?!!!

And sony should of realized that to. But it's not a huge deal though.

Have you seen what they announced this year? better yet have you seen their 2016 line up? I know everyone has their own taste but man people have been calling this year "The year of dreams" because of everything getting announced.

The trouble is, it's all next year. It's had a pretty lean year this year, from my casual observation. I spent 2014 jealous as heck, but this year has been much easier having an XBO only.
