The increase in resolution is noticeable in the vast majority of games I tested, but it’s not immediately striking. We’re talking about very fine margins of details here that often need a side-by-side comparison shot to be truly appreciated. Don’t expect the PS5 Pro to deliver transformative results. This is a console designed for those who obsess over micro details.

Have followed this with interest but based on all these it's as I expected really, just not quite the real-world upgrade that would justify the price, especially given my modest TV setup. Xbox One was a weedy thing that really struggled against base PS4 - Xbox One X was such a massive improvement. That's the only time I've ever bought an upgraded console so far and I don't see anything here to change that yet.

Yeah I think I’d need a much better TV to see the benefits. My 5 year old 60 Hz Philips won’t do the job.

GT7 4k at 90fps+ does sound good (if it had any new content). Maybe next year.

Each to their own of course but I hope this doesn't sell very well so Sony don't think they can release consoles at £700 with no disc drive in the future.

Very happy with my OG PS5, Can't really tell the difference between 4K and 1080 and certainly not willing to try for £800.

Just received my Pro.

According to the delivery driver they had to deliver over 500 Pros today in my region. Not sure what they consider the region boundaries, so don't know exactly how many people live there, but it's not a super densely populated area. I'd assume under 100k people. So it seems to be selling quite well. They had to schedule extra staff to make the deliveries today. This driver on his own had almost 50 of them on his route.

FYI: Slim model faceplates do NOT fit on the Pro. The brackets are out of alignment by about 0.5 cm (even though the panels seem to be the same size and shape otherwise)

Get one so we can see what it does for PC 2 :D
Did PC2 get VR activated on the PS?

If not that was a missed opportunity.

Although I'm going through a bit of a sim racing burn out phase atm, I'm sure I'll get back into it, this generation of console has been terrible, I'll definitely be looking into a PC instead of the next generation.

Discounted rather early in the UK, now £660 in multiple stores. Maybe it's just a Black Friday thing.
For anyone who bought from Argos, if you contact them you can get the £40 difference refunded.
