TUNER NOTES -
Just use this as a base. All drivers have there own style, but this might help you along the way :dopey:

This is my first post. @Thorin Cain. I got gold on your tune on the first lap so thanks. I played around with it for a few more and did better with more negative toe front and back but the best improvement I found was to go and buy the part A in the other section of Aero parts. It gave me a couple seconds help. I think a lot of people will overlook that since it looks like a car you couldnt add aero parts to. I also took off the weight but still a decent tune. I can usually get gold on my first complete lap of any event but usually wreck 10 times before I complete it but with yours no wrecks and straight to gold. Hopefully those tips with the toe and aero parts help someone.

Thanks @Eagle Eye, I actually put the aero on, oops forgot to put that in the post. Thanks for highlighting my error and thanks for the toe tip, I'll be giving that a try for sure!

Thanks for the feedback, glad I could help:cheers:

I really wish the working day would end so I could get on home and give this another shot. I got somewhere around 1:26:7xx last night with a bog standard power/weight reduction only tune, no tinkering with aero parts/tranny/suspension yet. I'll give Thorin Cains setup a crack once I'm home.

Also, I'm consistently 2-3 seconds faster with DS3/D-pad over the wheel and pedals, can anyone give me some tips on how to not suck at using them? haha :)

It took me a few days straight to get used to the wheel. I just have the logitech dfgt. I bought it after struggling with gt5 suzuka redbull cars a few years ago. I just started playing again when gt6 came out. I am curious @doodlemonoply and @eclipse what kind of wheel they recommend for the seasonals? Another newbie question for everyone is what do you think about the rigidity improvement for this car and other seasonals? Also I saw in another post from eclipse that it was documented how he sets up a car for these seasonals and I can't find it on the site. You can pm if you want. My business is out of season right now so I have been playing this game quite a bit the past couple months and would like to get better. I got the platinum in like 1-2 weeks but can't even come close to the seasonal times some of you guys put up. I can usually get somewhere between a rank of 100 to 400. Any help is appreciated.

Not as bad as I 1st thought, 1:25.648 Ds3 own tune(inspired by Krenkme tune, although quite different). gearing still needs tuning. Still having oversteer a bit, not sure if I want it completely gone.

1:27.2 and I just used the racing hard suspension , tranny and tune for power .. This car is a handful :) I like this track so I need to mess with suspension settings to see if I can stay down in the top 300 .

@Jaywalker, @shaunm80, @Thorin Cain, @GTP_DeathStar

Thanks for the motivation . I'd already done some of the Goodwood events to bronze or silver, so I spent half an hour on the 2nd group. That Merc is a bit weird - didn't seem to respond to steering inputs, but got the XNR and did a couple of runs in the TT.

Tried a lap with stock settings plus Supercharger to get the feel then a self made setup would have seen me 0.5 off gold on my 2nd lap, except I was a bit ambitious coming out of the final corner :dopey:. Didn't have time for more runs, but I quite like this track so might try a 'proper' tune next time. 👍

Can anyone tell me what paint chip you get for doing this? I only do the seasonals for the paint chips and didn't know if it's worth spending out the 1 mil for the car. Cheers

You can get this car for free dude and changing the gear box (i think it's mandatory because 3 gears makes it so slow) and with a hard suspension and some power ups you shouldn't have problems to gold it

New setup (I'm a very beginner in Gran Turismo! So do not expect too much!) But if some pilotes can try it and give me some feedback, I would appreciate a lot! I only ask to improve myself!

I have a chrono of 1.25.505 rank 45e (I guess it is not too bad!) I'm DS3 user.

Thanks for your futures tips!

I played around with it a few more laps and for me the twin clutch was faster. I could actually be even with my ghost and pass it especially on the hills. Not sure if it hurts you in other places. I am in the top hundred for now. I may post a tune later. Its pretty tight compared to most peoples though.

Somewhat frustrating way to have to waste 1000000 credits. I find it a bit stupid to have a seasonal with a car you can only win once, that's so ugly people will just sell it the second they get it as a prize. Still my urge to have every event completed outweighs anything else so I ended up having to buy another one, along with a gearbox and ran a few tenths under the gold time on my first attempt. Already sold the car again.

This is why I would never sell the prize cars, they are only handed out the once, this is not GT4.

My current time on this is 1:28.200

This is a cool Car/Track combo...
I still don't know how, but I managed a 1:27.590 lap time...

Well, OK some of you guys will start shouting at me when I confess that I turned the SRF on, but anyway, I don't feel ashamed, since good acceleration control is much more difficult whith a DS3 than a wheel and pedals gear (I have never been able to use that damn right-hand stick for acceleration/braking control).

I guess I'm too new to upload pictures of my set-up.
suspension
115-105
7.5-5.0
6-1
6-1
6-1
0.0-0.0
-70/-40
Brakes 5-5
Buy the aero part in the other section and use a twin plate. Drivetrain 5/50/5. It also works pretty good at 5/30/5. Custom transmission. Carbon drive shaft. Get the weight reduction 3. Computer. Sports Exhaust. Isometric exaust. Catalytic converter. No oil change and no weight or ballast. I was ranked 69 and 2nd in US. Thats gonna change. I changed the power around and couldn't tell much difference. Limiter is at 85.7. I did not buy the rigidity improvement. Curious what you all think. You can stay in the gas most of the way. Be sure to do some coasting before that last turn. Would love some input. Haven't seen anything even close to my setup with the negative toe. Curious if the rigidity would help. I dont want to throw away a million credits to find out. Most of the time I buy two, sometimes three cars for the tt. Not gonna do it this time.

Krenkme tune made for and easy Gold. Handled pretty well I must say.

Tried the Exeter GT tune first but it had far to much understeer at speed and would scrub far to much speed off in corners.

I'm not trying to start a rant here or anything, but in my opinion, I think SRF should be banned in time trials. I know this has been mentioned many times before, but I just want to express my opinion. Its basically an cheat aid that changes the amount of grip so you can take corners faster and not slide all over the track. It really ruins it for us that like to use barely none or few aids. Once again, I'm not trying to offend anyone that uses SRF, I'm just expressing how I feel about it :)

Edit: @GTP_CargoRatt better? 👍

I realize that I may have upset some people with this post, and I am sorry. I didn't intend to do that, only say my opinion :)

It is not a cheat, for the last time. It is an available aid for anyone to use that chooses to do so. If you don't like it, simply don't use it. I don't like SRF anymore than you, but calling it a cheat is just lame and basically a cheap shot at those who use it.

Ok I didn't mean to offend anyone, and I'm sorry if I did. I think instead if banning it, at least they could make a separate leaderboard for those who use it and those who don't, which has been stated before somewhere. I understand where you're coming from and maybe I shouldn't have been so harsh :indiff: I don't want to start a huge argument, so let's end it here and move on 👍

I have no problem with the people using it. They can if they want, it's they're choice. They should have the choice to use whichever aids they want, but at least make a separate leaderboard. I'm not trying to be a bad guy, all I did was voice my opinion, but I could have said it in a better way.

Thanks Eagle Eye! Indeed, the twin clutch is faster in the hill. I'v tried but I loose time on the last straight. I'm down to 1.24.9XX keeping my setup unchanged.

Good luck to eveyone!

<...>that's so ugly people will just sell it the second they get it as a prize.

That's what you get for not appreciating the classics.

Decided to laugh at the suggestion that I replace the 3-speed gearbox and to run the car stock. Took me about 30 minutes, but I managed to gold it by .2 seconds. This and the Elise @Brands Hatch are the seasonal events that I enjoyed the most so far.

What's your gearing like and when are you shifting? The Plymouth runs out of oomph not long after it's mid rpm range so it's wasteful to rev it high.
