Pokémon Games Discussion Thread (Gotta Discuss 'Em All!)

At least, IMO, it was worth it to see Mareanir beat up Corsola's during the S.O.S
It's like the Horde battles with Zangoose and Seviper. It's funny to see the AI whaling on itself.

Hey Reshiram, do you want a hasty Xurkitree? I caught two speed-boosting natures and I only need the Timid one.

No sorry, only Hasty and Bashful.

Oh, I read it as "do you have", then I realized what I wrote and I already have a Hasty Xurkitree
No worries. If you don't have a particular UB, I'd trade one to you anyways. Just not Buzzwole, I've got one aside for a friend and one for my VGC 17 team.

I think I'm fine with my UBs, at the moment, EV Training my Guzzlord right now using Poke Pelago.

With a Speed Swap user, I expect Guzzlord to do massive damage in doubles.

For those who haven't made the connection...
the guy at Poke Pelago is apparently Lillie's dad.
I saw that. Good Lord.

RNG Jesus hates my guts. I've gotten two Jolly Kartana in a row. I want an Adamant. :banghead:

Imagine if in a future Pokemon game, a Legendary Pokemon had Explosion, Final Gambit or Memento as one of their movesets  :mischievous:

Fun fact, the evolution of Cosmog, Cosmoem is the heaviest Pokemon in the game, tield with Celesteela at 999.9 kg.

To put this in perspective: Lillie was carrying a 999.9kg Pokemon in her bag throughout your entire journey throughout Poni Island.

Bro, Lillie lifts.

Given the Pokémon is 0.1m in size, this thing should probably have it's own gravitational force...

Or perhaps Nebby was exploiting its own gravitational field and floating just enough that Lillie didn't have to deal with its weight?

If I remember correctly, when Nebby evolved into Cosmoem, it pretty much became dormant, unable to move until it evolved again, so it can't exploit its own gravitational field.

And that's where the Tauros:censored: comes in. 999.9 KG is just too much for anyone to handle. That's the equivalent of lugging an MX-5 or Elise around.

Does anyone know if the hidden items have to be specifically found using a device or are they something you can button mash to find like all games?

You can button mash to find them but instead of a machine, you have to use the Ride Pokemon Stoutsland

Mimikyu is absolutely terrifying to battle with online.

Unless your running Burn or Sleep at the beginning, you pretty much can't stop Mimikyu from setting up via Swords Dance or even Z-Splash.

Then it just terrorizes the competition with Play Rough, Shadow Sneak and whatever other move it has.

I never thought Mimikyu would be so good, I loved it from the beginning due to how cute it was and its lore but I thought it was going to be as weak as the Pikachu clones (except Pachrisu, because as we all know from VGC, Pachirisu is OP and 🤬 for surviving a Draco Meteor and needs to nerf )

By the way, shiny hunting isn't healthy. I have hatched 650 goomy's in an attempt to get a shiny one, and I am starting to loose my sanity.

Eggs.
eggs.
EGGS.
EgGs.

Too many eggs.

Not bragging (more like shared pain) but I wanted a Bold HA Shiny Eevee for a bulky Specs Sylveon set. Ended up taking nigh on 1200 eggs total with four non-HA shinies in that total, but the one I finally hatched... had a bad Speed stat.

Thank God for bottle caps and transfers.

Wow. I am personally more of a collector guy, so I would have taken the first one and ran.

Talk about garbage mechanics.

VGC update: Got two Pokemon almost done with EVs, starting to pin down movesets and items.

And yes, Mimikyu is on my VGC team.

I just EV Train Pokemon that I like or had throughout my journey on my previous games and that's only because we can actually remove EVs recently . Usually ignore IVs and Natures as while it does put me at a disadvantage, I can still win matches despite this, with enough strategy.
