Pokémon GO: Catch 'Em All in the Real World

I can see how that after awhile the game lacks enjoyment.
Getting high level cp ones and removing some 3rd party tracking that actually worked unlike their broken footsteps. (Then remove both) What's left? Walking around like a zombie trying to find something that will probably disappear before you get it.

I try to see the enjoyment out of it but yet I cannot see it.

The frustrating thing, I imagine (as I don't play Go anymore), must be Niantic's inaction towards other, obviously illegitimate actions. People have been streaming themselves playing - and botting - the game from their computers with fake GPS and whatnot and Niantic seems to be perfectly fine with that. Yet, they take down something like Pokévision. I'm currently observing the results first hand, as my room mate discovered BlueStacks and FakeGPS for himself. Got all the rare and immensely powerful stuff - you know, 2,500 + CP Dragonites, stuff like that. The other members of our own little Pokémon Go group have absolutely zero chance to compete with that, not as long as they stay legit, at least.

Not that it really matters to me, personally. But that's the sort of BS decision making a company can royally piss its audience off with, I feel.
Fair enough, I didn't think about players using cheats.

Guess who's got a Meowth?????? :D

Literally screamed after I saw him. In my 1st egg I got my all time favourite Pokémon :embarrassed: I've never had one before, the only Pokémon game I've played before Pokémon Go was the Yellow version 4 years ago via PC Emulator.

Any idea if there is any benefit of having a bigger/heavier Pokemon? I have a few Meowth but my strongest one is also the smallest one (XS).

Heavier means its got tendencies of bigger defense, but lower attack. Tried on gym and seems like it.

I got Eevee with lowest being a XS and 14 CP and highest being a XL and 195 CP. I dont know really, just random.

I left my town to go on vacation for a week, and in that timespan the same like 5 users on team instinct managed to take over every single gym in my town. And their gyms are pretty high level too. :odd:

How they did that I will never know.

The thing I hate most about the update is that I have to re-adjust my whole throwing motion. The curveballs curve like twice as much now.

The most surprising thing about that article is that Blackberry still exist and make phones.
Not surprising to me as I've used only BlackBerry phones personally the last few years. I guess you will be surprised to know that BlackBerry's QNX dominates the car market. Sadly not the case for phones.

Today ran into Bulbasaur and Ponyta (both of them fled). Also ran into Dratini (caught it. Have never had a Dratini run from me).

I got a glitch.

So I evolve the Kakuna. But in the middle of evolving, the network lost. So I restarted the app and the Pokemon has evolved with the shape changed and registered to Pokedex. However, the name remains unchanged and the specs, even CP, are also unchanged. Results is I got an unbelieveably low CP Beedrill.

WHY DID YOU PRESS B?!

I curse this game! Went hiking with my 16 year old goddaughter yesterday and she was practically in tears when I asked her to turn her phone off while we made our way through the trail:(. We compromised at letting her scavenge the parking lot afterwards:lol:. On my way home after dropping her off, I actually contemplated texting her to ask her if I installed the app, could I capture Pokemen and just give them to her. I figured it would be an open door I'd never be able to close so I didn't hit the send button on that text!

Ever had a Magikarp run from you? :grumpy:

Also, my lineup currently:

Don't take her hiking  It just screams *possible very limited special Pokemon here you probably won't catch*..

Last Pokemon GO play session got me 0 Zubat and 9 Pinsir.

I like Pinsir but.... Why.
At least you have one. My last session got me a Kabuto and.... nothing else.

At least you have one. My session today provided: lots of Pidgeys, lots of Zubats, 1 Squirtle, 1 Goldeen, 1 Parasect, 1 Paras, 2 Spearows, 1 Eevee, 2 Rattatas and that's pretty much it.

This game is just plain awful. Why were the righs given to such a talentless, incompetent company who has no vision for it, nor do they have even the slightest clue about what constitutes good game design.

It is not good game design to have 90% of your game consist of Pidgeys, Zubats, Rattatas and Weedles.
It is not good game design to arbitrability make it "harder" to catch pokemons the higher level you are.
It is outright awful game design to have no indication what so ever on the direction and distance of Pokemons in your near vicinity.

The whole candy system is as stupid as it is nonsensical.

My excrement contains deeper and more polished game design ideas than the people at Niantic could ever dream up in their wildest dreams... It being free to play should not be an excuse for making something this abysmal.

If you are so much better than them in designing games, why don't you design your own Pokemon game? ;)

So you think it would be more fun finding loads of Charizards, Aerodactyls and Dragonites on every streetcorner? Come on, having loads of the not so sought after pokemons makes you appreciate and enjoy finding that special and rare pokemon, but only every now and then.

Okay, pokemons who are stronger and better the higher trainer level you have, should be easier to catch than the weaker ones???

You should be happy they even have the "nearby"/"sightings" feature... In the original Pokemon games you actually had to walk around and look for Pokemons in the wild, not just wait for them to pop up on a radar.
(Before all the guides etc).

I would have no problem having them remove the new "sightings" feature completely. Would make it more interesting.

@Jawehawk @Phoenix
I can also agree with the whole nearby feature.
While it is good but it's not fun when you go in the wrong direction for one and you end up losing it because it doesn't give you any perspective on which direction you need to go.
At lease with the footsteps unlike in beta where it gives you numbers it's at lease it's something though.

Because I don't have a company?

I think it would be fun if 4 pokemon, out of nearly 150, didn't comprise 90 ish percent of the game.

The quotation marks were meant to show that it wasn't actually harder. There is no skill requirements. Leveling up just makes the RNG gods work against you, which is abysmal game design. Outside of using better pokeballs, you have no actual control of how likely it is that you'll capture it.

No, I should not be content with half assed game design. And neither should anyone else.

One would think from your rants that you're being forced to play the game? Surely that can't be the case. If the game is so terrible then just don't play it if yoiu truly have the option.

Given its popularity it would seem that lots of people don't think it's all that bad.

I'd think that Niantic is generating far more revenue than your excrement is.
