Given we're mostly keep seeing the same tracks and cars, no rain or damage model and we're only 3 months away from launch - do you believe GTS will still release on time ?

I don't think it's fair to say that GTS won't be released on time "because PD", even though it has happened in the past. As of right now, there are no delays anticipated, and I feel hopeful that GTS will release on its planned date.

And if there is a delay, I think that people should try and be as patient as possible with the game, and just wait the few extra weeks or months. Whining to PD won't do anything, and it's not like it's super abnormal for a game to come out after it's projected release date.

No doubt this game will be delayed, and I'm not saying that because it's Polyphony, just simply how big games are these days.

Given the scarcity of new info on the car list, tracks, offline events, livery editor, VR etc, it's looking likely there'll be a delay.
It is possible that PD already designed all the cars, tracks, offline events, livery editor, etc already, but will not show all of it to the public until the game comes out, or shortly before it comes out.

Either the game will get delayed or the current features, such as the livery editor and VR, will be given massive delays like GT6's features. An example being the track editor, which lasted 2 years mind you!

Plus, this time they can't blame the hardware..."blank canvas"

We'll see. No one that I know of searched through Gran Turismo: HD or Gran Turismo 5: Prolouge to make sure the development of GT5 was rough. Proving Kaz's points. I still don't think GTS will be that good. :/

They don't have to show everything. But there will probably be at least 2 more trailers. Next month and another one at least for launch. Simply because 4 or 5 tracks or some 30 odd card are shown does not mean the game will have only these content

The game will definitely release in November. At worst a week or 2 delay so December is the worst case.

I think GTSport will release on time except for VR. I'm still skeptical about PD hitting their lock 60fps target, so I really wouldn't be suprised if GTSport don't have VR compatibility on release day.

They would hit that mark if they tone down all the unnecessary eye candy and leave it for NEO. Thats the way if they gonna achieve stable 60 on ps4 hardware.

they still had skidmarks, damage and weather to add. I will take my guess that the final product wont be as eye catching as the current build, unless they dont mind about the FPS.

Actually PS VR isn't that impressive piece of hardware either, most of the person who tried compared it with SAMSUNG VR , not to rift or vive.

I hope it releases on time and that it is a decent game but I have my doubts. Let us see if PD stays PD or that they will surprise us with their seventh installment in a positive way.

I answered no simply because of their trackrecord and the content shown so far. Let PD prove me wrong 👍

They don't have to show everything.

No, but if they don't show anything they're relying on word of mouth and the customer's historical experience with Gran Turismo to encourage them to pre-order.

If they don't want anyone to pre-order, then by all means show nothing and let the chips fall where they may when the initial reviews and customer feedback rolls in.

If anything, racing games are pretty much the
genre where you want to show off everything you have. Show us some of the cool cars we can drive, where we can race them, and whatever other nifty features they want to throw in there to spice things up. Don't just show a small portion of the car selection and the same three or four courses at every event you go to, and then just briefly gloss over the juicy details everyone's dying to know.

Or PD should make a separate VR mode with less track details and post process effect. That's the only way I can see them doing to hit lock 60fps and without the need of delaying that feature.

It's not like PD hasn't shown off anything significant about the game at all. We've already received a good amount of information about what to expect from GT Sport from the Copper Box event and E3, but there's always room to show more content about the game before release like the unrevealed cars and tracks, weather, night, damage, and more of the online components.

I expect that GT Sport will get delayed, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing if it happens, if it will include all of the planned features from launch, and not include them in future updates like GT6.

I think Gran Turismo Sport will be released on time, however it will be missing vital features like original tracks. The fact it is missing original tracks is a key reason I will be holding out buying it. Also, Gran Turismo Sport is missing a wide selection of cars too. It has a good amount of cars currently, but they are mainly all race cars.

I feel the same. Unlike Horizon 3, nothing about GT Sport so far has made me go "I have to get this game!"
It looks nice and if the online championship works (unfortunately Forza 6's leagues aren't really that different from regular hoppers and nobody knows how to deal with the first few corners) it would be the best online racing you can get outside of iRacing.

Unfortunately, that's about it...
