I do not know much about Hilary, but is she not a nice person or something that Trump is getting so much popularity?

He's from the other camp, so how popular he actually is, we won't know until both are elected candidate, and going head to head.
 
I think Trump's popularity really just shows how disgusted people are with "the Establishment". They're so fed up they'd back even somebody like Trump over "establishment" candidates.
 
Meanwhile the people running who I think will make the most impact are overshadowed by the two clowns at the top.

True, but he is a non-starter for nationwide election to US president due to his advanced age and openly avowed socialism.

As of post time, according to RCP Averages, Sanders is trailing Hillary 58.5% - 30.5% nationally. In Iowa, the race is much tighter, but Clinton still enjoys an 11 point lead over Sanders.

The way it works in the U.S. @ECGadget is that you must first win your party's nomination to even run in the presidential election. Bernie and Hillary are campaigning to represent the Democrats in the election and only one can be chosen to be their representative in the election. Of course Bernie, when he loses the nomination, could always opt to run under a third party ticket or as an independent but that would likely split the left vote and hand the election to the Republicans on a silver platter.

Hillary would be in her 70th year when she took office... is that not an advanced age too? I guess Sanders is 7 or 8 years ahead though, and Hillary denies being a Socialist Democrat iirc.

Yes, it is. Her situation is worsened by revelations she is "often confused" by her chief aide Huma Abedin, hinting at the dementia/ Alzheimer's that afflicted Reagan.

Well for starters, it's not exactly one nation is it? I mean, you have American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and don't even get me started on the minor islands.

So a far-right think-tank has found about 250 Muslims who think that they should have the option of being tried in Shariah courts. I thought the Trump was better with numbers than to extrapolate that kind of nonsense?

Oh boy... First of all, let me educate you on who came here first, the Puritans, if you still recall that from where ever you may/may not have attended school. The Puritans wanted to cleanse themselves from the Angelic church of England, which broke away from Roman Catholicism in the 16th century. Roman Catholicism was as corrupt in its practices as the United States is now... Seems like that came back full swing.

Second, you just said that the US should be owned by the Indians. Hmm.... That makes me go back a bit more recent in history. The US never had the 48 all at once, and if it were to go by who was here first, then those who occupied the vast majority of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and southern California, or what you want to call "illegal immigrants", should be entitled to their land, no? I mean you said it yourself.

Keep hoping to god, see how far you go with that. Yes, I'm young, no not stupid, quite educated, and not afraid to be educated on matters which I clearly am unaware to, unfortunately, not so much on your behalf, or Trump's for that instance, which the overlying similar characteristic between you two is that you fail to believe reality for what it is.

It's a good thing that the only person in my family who is a die-hard republican is about dead, because to be honest, it has been a good 40 years since the last republican actually did much good for this country. If Trump is elected, and I am finished with my school, you can be damn sure I'll leave this country and only increase the burden for the ignorant like you.

2. I am not a "young sheltered liberal", I am a centralist who has voted on both sides of the isle. I agree and disagree on positions of both the Democrat party and Republican party. I'm sorry that everyone isn't a conservative and that you want to deport us on the grounds of political views.
