We can but hope they've learned from GT6 to set realistic deadlines and release dates too.I shall wait until all the promised content has arrived next time around.

I must be honest. A lot of that is over my head. Do you mean to say that for the most part there won't be T.V.'s capable of supporting PS4 in Oz?PS4's are stupid anyway, well basically pointless in Australia.
1. UHD TV's are rendered useless here, no 4K blu-rays yet - not produced. At this stage it's hard to find even a 1080p stream on commercial tv let alone a 4k one.
2. Current HDMI/video cable technology cannot push through enough data for 4K esp 3D content.
3. There are currently 2 products competing to gain hold of 4K video signal carrying cables. Aka when these cables are released current UHD TV's will likely not have the correct video connections meaning your $7000+ UHD TV won't be able to receive 4K content!
4. PS4's have USB3 ports for what? You can't connect an external HDD or play mp3/mpeg-4 etc except from Sony's own online streaming services.
5. Online play now incurs a user surcharge
any decent PC will still wipe the floor with them and now days all/most games are available on multiple platforms
From that article: "When quizzed about why Aussie consumers should buy a UHD TV when there is no content to play on it, Sony Australia's Paul Colley says it's all about future-proofing.86Debris86 - here read this article it'll explain what I said and is where I got the info from!

Nothing. Currently. It would seem though from what I have been reading that if UHD kicks off then the PS4 won't be able to support it without possible bolt-on accessories. Many people speculated the new generation of consoles would help usher in UHD but apparently Sony are unwilling to comment on whether or not PS4 will be capable of 4k output. What has 4k content and UHD got to do with buying a PS4? It doesn't do anything in 4k.
I'll wait for the reviews and especially what GTP has to say.
After reading the stuff that "GTP" has to say about GT6, I will just ignore them.
Huh? Why don't we have more then? Every GT I've played from the first one has been of a high quality. It's only recently the standard has started to slip with GT5 and GT6. If it's all about quantity then they missed a trick in not releasing a GT6 prologue. I think you're getting at the possibility that Sony forced PD to release it earlier than they may have intended. In which case, blame Sony with their new console. At least with GT7 this shouldn't happen. This franchise has lost its desire to put out quality in exchange for quantity
Welcome to the world of capitalism. And I'm fairly sure most companies do this. They don't care what the individual thinks and only base their production of this game based on what they want you to like instead. This is a trick utilized by retailers worldwide.
You infer we're idiots that can't see past marketing campaigns and such. And yes there will inevitably be some griping about the next game- following GT6, and the apparent outrage it has caused, it's going to have to be absolutely perfect in order to smooth over the relationship we now have with PD.So, if you fall for it again, have fun with your GT7, where I'm sure there will be mass amounts of griping about that on here as well.
Based on the assumption most of us will have a next gen console before the release of the next GT, experiences you've had with previous GT games and with GT6 so far, and on PD's apparent lack of communication, not to mention the release of serious competition soon, will you be purchasing the next GT?
Yeah, thanks but leaving out the lack of communication from PD is a bit of an oversight, as is the omission of Project Cars and Drive Club. It's one of the main gripes people have with PD and is surely a contributing factor to some people's answers. If you are trying to get more valid results, you should be more neutral with your statement in bold that comes with the question. Let me rewrite that for you:
Based on the assumption most of us will have a next gen console before the release of the next GT and experiences you've had with previous GT games and with GT6 so far. Will you buy GT7?
Or even better:
Based on the assumption most of us will have a next gen console before the release of the next GT and experiences you've had with the GT games so far. Will you buy GT7?
I agree the reviews from other sources can be hit or miss as far as their accuracy goes but I think the GTP community is a decent gauge of how good or bad a GT games is. I'll certainly take the opinion of those who love the series and have played it for a decade over someone who reviews games for a living when it concerns Gran Turismo.I'll wait for reviews, but i can't trust review sites like IGN and this place (GTPlanet) due to how unreliable it is.
As such, this time i actually wait instead of buying at the release month and not play the game for months.
Also, i'm waiting for a GT that's capable of blowing my mind because of how good he is. So if GT7 isn't amazing or great... i'll pass
I think that will be unlikely. Typically we've had two GT games per platform so I think the chances are slim. It would be nice to have a slightly trimmed down version for PS3 though for those of us who haven't got a PS4 by the time GT7 comes out.I won't be buying it unless it gets released on PS3 as well.
I'm totally with you on that. Only thing is that shouldn't be the only way to play IMO.I regretted buying GT5 (pre-ordered)
Haven't bought GT6 (after reading all about it and discovering it hasn't changed the stuff I hated about GT5)
If PD were to completely change direction & get back to creating a racing game with sensible racing type stuff in it such as
- Awesome innovative scalable AI
- Pre-qualifying practice option
- Qualifying option
- Pre-race practice option
- Realistic off-track grip
- realistic tyre options
- realistic set-up options
- realistic damage (optional)
Then I might consider it, assuming I have a PS4 (not a guarantee!)
I'm totally with you on that. Only thing is that shouldn't be the only way to play IMO.
I've said before elsewhere (others probably have too) that a racing GT and a driving GT should maybe be split into two games or into two modes within the same game.
