Would you buy a Tourist trophy type DLC?

You can use Kart on some of the seasonals. I did it when somebody showed me and I accidentally did it with B-spec seasonal. PS-He didn't win

Oh really? (Pulling on boots)

OK, Boots are off. You can run a kart in the seasonal events, and WIN!!

I think it would be really cool if they put some big V-twins in there. I would be thrilled if I got to race my superglide. Woudn't win any races, but would still be cool.

On 2nd thought, PD will probably make the V-twin sound like a 4 cyl with a fart pipe.

Edit:
I'd rather someone come out with a new road rash.

This was Tourist Trophy's bike list

If they included an actual TT mode and events I'd hit the buy button without blinking. If it's just the bikes and a handful of tracks... to hell with that.

What I'd rather they do instead of muddying the focus of GT even more though is just release an entirely new TT title.

I would prefer a stand alone TT game rather than have it as a DLC. IMHO it would be too big an update for DLC anyway. It would most likely be a new game if they were to introduce it as at all.

Yes, yes and thrice yes to a bike dlc  As long as it was kept completely away
from the cars, ie no sillyness like cars and bikes on track at the same time :yuck:

Why nobody mentioned the track? It's a famous one come on.
I don't think it was in tourist trophy....would be a great course....for cars too!!!!

I would want an option to blend cars and bikes if we wanted to...like a honda nsx/1000rr..........hahahaha just playing but a lobby option to have cars and bikes on the track at the same time would be awesome!!! As would an option to keep a lobby bikes only, and cars only

Illogical
Absolutely untrue. Kaz said in a few different interviews a few years ago that they have considered blending the games. It's still a possibility if it was more popular an idea. But with all the things people want in GT5 I don't see that happening.

http://www.vg247.com/2010/10/20/yamauchi-hints-at-bikes-dlc-for-gran-turismo-5/

But pd also said that the only reason that standard cars are in the game is because they didn't have time so if they don't have time for cars then they definitely won't have time for bikes. Also with them starting to think about gt6 that's even less likely

BUT that bike list I placed in the thread a few posts back is a list of all the bikes that PD already have designed, and their physics were pure awesome.

PD made THE BEST tarmac motorcycle game ever with TT and anybody that has tried to make a game since has failed horribly in the physics department, that just happens to be an area that PD excels in.

In my point of view it would be REALLY easy for them to incorporate the already made bikes into GT5 and get them sorted out with the better physics (old would be fine but I am sure they would tune them up a bit) and maybe when PS4 comes out there will be a GT6 and Tourist Trophy 2 completely separate of each other. GT5 testbed

EDIT.

and the part about how they didn't have time to make all the cars premiums so they are standards. Well that is a TON of cars to have done and I buy that yes they didn't have time to make them premium for the release, but some have gotten better looking through updates, some are almost premium with full interiors now aside from wheel changes they are premium.....but the wheel change for standards update is coming tonight or in the am, and all the while they are already work on GT6 too.

Bikes WILL NOT hinder car updates and I am not expecting a huge amount of "brand new" cars in future updates anyways as there has to be something left to make GT6 appealing. It's marketing. Time goes by fast. People are crazy if they think Sony doesn't already have the PS4 finished because how would PD and other developers already be designing games for them if they didn't know the new technologies abilities/limits they are designing their software for. When did the PS3 come out again lol

I voted Maybe in the poll, I love motorcycles, but I know very little about them and I'm a car guy so.. Not to mention they should have their own separate game, not be included in a "main" GT title.

No, but I cant vote due to lack of options.
It would be cool to race against them in cars as long as they were realistic in terms of performance :)

A seperate spec for bikes with common offline leaderboards? Yes, definitely but cars and bikes together on-track? No.

They didn't have time to model new cars from the get-go in high detail. The bikes are already there and could "easily" be imported, just like they imported the standards.

Online lobbies would be over run with kids on bikes and more kids running them over with Veyrons, X1's, and Tank Cars.. :P

hahahaha It would be funny honestly, but for some mature people racing some bikes against cars would be fun. Some great match ups could be had. That track so many of us love in Germany has this already in real life on track days.

I will buy it in a heartbeat!
but unfirtunelly i dont see it happening, if you think how many things must be added is mind blowing.
New events, 3rd XP system, the tuning shop will have to be redesigned, GT auto also, online and so on...

Jav
Don't really think bikes have a place in a car game... Plus it would just be silly to "ride" a motorcycle with a steering wheel, so no!

???? Do you also play Uncharted or any other game with your steering wheel??? or when you load GT5 you steering grabs to your PS3 and refuses to let go until you change game???
btw.....in the same way, it is also silly to take pictures (photo travel) with a steering whell, or manager drivers through or using a steering wheel (b-spec).

I wouldnt buy a TT dlc for GT5. It is a car game, but I would love if PD did another TT game, but it would need to be like GT5 in terms of career mode, with buying bikes with money instead of just doing a test for each bike like the original game.

Also someone posted above sying that PD made the best tarmac bike game ever with TT. No they didnt, as far as bike games go GP500.and Superbike 2001 were both better in terms of gameplay. GP500 was really realistic for its time and SBK 2001 is one of tye only games I‘ve found where your rider actually goes back to the bike after coming off.
