Polyphony are technical wizards!

I played GT5 today for a while... Polyphony are not any technical wizards! They messed up graphics of GT6 really bad. GT5 had great graphics, lighting effects are superior to what we have in GT6, so much more refined! Glare effect is almost completly gone in GT6, night racing looks definitely worse. 2x-4x Multi sampling anti aliasing used in GT5 is superior to MLAA they implemented in GT6. Image quality of GT5 is much better, crystal clear, pixel perfect vs blurred, washed out image in GT6. Even higher resolution didn't helped GT6 in achieving similar image quality level as in GT5. Cockpit view shadows in car are gone in GT6, now we have some dark smudge instead of real shadows...

GT6 is graphical downgrade. The only positive thing i found about GT6 are smooth edges of the car when smoke is visible...
I can not even imagine how PD could do such a mess with GT6... instead of refining effects they had in GT5, they dial back most of graphical effects for GT6, despite doing that, game still runs worse than GT5...

I shoot this photo to show great lighting effects of GT5, tomorrow i will try to make similar photo in GT6, I'm 99% sure that GT6 is not capable of this level of graphics, especially lighting effects.

Not to mention, the aliasing and overall lower res textures.

Would it not be better if you did an actual comparison between both GT5 AND GT6 (full game) instead of using an old comparison (demo version of GT6). Or is that due to a TV's resolution or something?

But you see, the problem with that is you don't even have the game...

GT6 is amateurish in so many ways..

The physics for example.. I played GT5 for a few hours in the past couple days. GT5 physics engine is obviously inferior in some ways, such as cars not having body roll, but actually, GT5 physics feel much better, and feels more natural when catching slides and just how the car goes around a corner.. not just MR cars either.

GT6 has a "better" physics engine, but it is tuned poorly and full of what seem like bugs. It's natural behavior is to lose grip on one end of the car or the other, and then that requires correction, but when you do correct with proper steering angle, often times the car snaps back violently, even in cars that wouldn't exhibit this behavior in real life. It is not often very fun, where GT5 actually is fun, and I think more realistic in regards to vehicle dynamics. GT5 does more with less. GT6 is just irritating in most categories. Physics, GFX, gameplay.. all much inferior.

GT6 has a better interface, that's it. GT5 loading times and general interface is ridiculous.

Agree, to me GT5 physics also feel like more fun. GT6 looks seriously unfinished. Quality bar is much lower than in GT5 case. I hope KAZ won't let it go, and he will update GT6 to GT5 quality I can't believe that man like him, visionary, perfectionist was able to offer its customers and fans a product with such a low quality. Kaz, wake up!

Not necessary, Digital Foundry confirmed that both the demo and the final game are running at the same resolution and use the same type of anti-alising, as you can see, the comparison is done at a place where the new lightning doesn't come into play so GT6 won't have an advantage over GT5. Resolution, textures and aliasing is what is being compared. If GT6 final game looks prettier to you that's fine, I'm only comparing picture quality.

I see. And "prettier"? I will say GT6 looks "OK" to me. Nothing bad, nothing special.

Ok, here are my few comparison shots between GT5 and GT6:
GT6 is so much worse!!! :(
Wow, horrible. :( I think the lighting hues are better in GT6 and the shader effect on car paint looks less washed out but the lense effects are truly awful.
