Those graphics are incredible, to bad there aren't any video games that look that good.

It's clearly the same. The ambiguity lies in why it (the PSP screen) is on the Porsche.

To me it's just a terrible photoshop mistake. The guy who arranged the picture after the photo shoot looked on google image for a track list image and pasted it on the fake LCD screen ! I hope i'm wrong
Not true, as in the PR vid the camera is moving (as if in 3D) and the same pic can be seen in the dash.
So this basically means that the pic is included in the render of the car, imo (most of the vid just shows the render. even the drivers are virtual ones

Seriously though cars are becoming far to computerized these days. There's no need for something silly like that in a car. I mean what's next? "Oh gee I might have the optional toaster in my car and kettle too so that I can make a cup of tea and some toast on my way to work!!" wow!!

Like said in the News thread, this is similar to the Prologue pic in a Nascar posted/ad of some sort. PD announced not long afterwards that they had acquired an official license for NASCAR.
This is too much to simply be a coincidence. But we need confirmation, Kaz already said in an interview that there were licensing issues. Then the release date was pushed back, and now we have this. It's all piecing together bit by bit.
I hope an announcement is made soon, this needs to be identified ASAP as a hoax or the real thing.

Although its a nice find I doubt that this has anything to do with a PD / Porsche relationship. As the 918 is a concept car they can stick anything on the screens as has been seen with many past concept cars.
Some have even had iPhone's mounted in the dash or showed fancy programs running on screens and it has been nothing to do with any venture between the companies because its all 'make believe' non production stuff.
I bet someone incharge of creating these shots or the artificial UI video for the cars dash put it in because it looked cool without knowing what kind of responce they would generate with GT fans (one of confusion!). It happens all the time with marketing material.
But heres hoping never the less 👍

Porsche would of spent hundreds of thousends of pounds/euro's producing this concept car. they would of painstakingly agonised over every minuute detail, would of had discussions about every angle, shape, texture of the many thoasends of parts which make this car.
Porsche would not then get to the dashboard and go "well we have run out of budget and we need a race track/timing monitoring system on the dash, I know we will just photoshop/rip-off the PSP screen - nobody will notice"..

I remember the official press shots of the first Aston Martin Vanguish prototype, it looked great but when you inspected the interior pictures there was a large piece of used wood bolted into the footwell.
Someone obviously forgot to remove it, as it was probably put there as protection before it was shown to the public.
Yes, they spend millions but when the deadline looms they panic, stress out and sometimes produce a monumental cock-up.

Concepts are meant to be CONCEPTS, as Denur stated showing the "potential" a company could achieve at some point in the future, sometimes the stuff you see on these cars is not even possible technology.
Looking at other concept cars in the past they have had all sorts of wacky things showing on screens in the dash, for example showing 'pie in the sky' connectivity features (usually with mobile network providers logo splashed all over it), or some cool interface or intergrated product that doesnt exsist.
Just because its seen on a concept doesnt mean in any way that anything is real including company partnerships.
As for the cars quality, concept cars are actually very poorly built, often thrown together and held with MDF, clay, glue and steel bars underneath. They have parts borrowed from other models in the range and fall apart very easily. They are in no way expertly crafted.
