Whatever it may be, either accident ( cock-up ), intentional hidden message, innocent diplomacy or just a joke i wouldn't hold my breath and although i really love Porsches, their in- or exclusion from GT won't make me sleep any less.

So yes, great news if they are going to be included after all ( even if it were the reason for delaying ).
If not, oh well, we still have Ruf for my 911 fix and most other relevant brands.

And yes, Ruf aren't an alternative for Porsches historic cars, and i meant that i really like Porsche but until we get a proper confirmation i won't get my hopes up.

umm.. no it´s not.

The Enzo Ferrari Enzo came 2002 wich makes it 8 years old. Pretty impressive if you ask me, the design still looks new compared to it´s rivals. And the

Porsche´s badass will compete with Ferraris next supercar, rumors say that it will be a V12TT with things like KERS etc.

Porsche is great and all that but no other company builds cars like Ferrari.

But the next Ferrari supercar isn't yet available in either a game or IRL.
So they had to use an existing car, hence the 8 year old Enzo.

I don't want to start the eternal Porsche/ Ferrari debate as i agree they are very different in character but at least their supercars are direct competitors.

959 versus F40, Carrera GT versus Enzo for example.

Ofcourse the new 918 isn't literally gunning for an Enzo, i think Porsche chose an Enzo because it's still Ferrari's most recent supercar and if they had to choose another brand as a joke ( my guess ) the logical choice is Ferrari.

I was thinking of the same thing. It could be Porsche and PD hinting subliminally but then why the FM3 version of the Nordschleife. Had it been a Nissan GTR in the pic (instead of the Ferrari), it could be a call for reconciliation between all the parties- T10 lambasting PD, Porsche calling Nissan cheaters

I can see the argument that someone in the design department have to come up with something for the LCD screen on the 918. But having spent probably millions of dollars in the R&D, anyone with even the minimal amount of illustrator or photoshop skill could come up with something similar in a matter of minutes and didn't have to copy images from video games. So it still boggles my mind.

Porsche would of spent hundreds of thousends of pounds/euro's producing this concept car. they would of painstakingly agonised over every minuute detail, would of had discussions about every angle, shape, texture of the many thoasends of parts which make this car.

Porsche would not then get to the dashboard and go "well we have run out of budget and we need a race track/timing monitoring system on the dash, I know we will just photoshop/rip-off the PSP screen - nobody will notice"..

Nah - this ladies and gentleman is a partnership between Porsche and Polyphony.

This confirms that Porsche is in, Got to be.

I hope your right GT5 has damn near every manufacturer except Porsche.

Yes and the Enzo was 660k and the McLaren was well over a million dollars
Ferrari could have easily pulled something better than the McLaren out, but it was probably a larger risk than they were willing to take

But the photos are on the Official Porsche site...? Not only is the shot in one press photo, but also visible in the video now playing on the official site as well.

Anyways, it is by no means hard evidence, but it can't be easily ignored either. PD seems to have gone viral before, and with GDC coming up on March 9th, this is perfect timing.

By definition, it's not proof either way, and saying it is, either way, is foolish. But it's something to pay attention to... the whole point of releasing something viral.

There are uglier cars like the one you showed, granted, but i expect a Ferrari to be pretty at least, and the California in my opinion is the ugliest car ever produced by the firm from Maranello.
It has terribly awkward angles, incredibly fussy detailing and i heard someone describing it as the bastard offspring between a Lexus and a TVR.
Nothing wrong with either a Lexus or a TVR but they don't mix quite well.

( The person making that remark was Peter Stevens by the way, designer of the McLaren F1 )
